OpManager / ServiceDesk Plus Integration
Hi, I am OpManager MSP (6002), and recently installed ServiceDesk Plus 5.5. I can add SD+ as an add-on product in OpManager only if SD+ is running on http. If I switch SD+ to https, OpManager gives me an error when trying to set it up as an add on. The error is: Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high. I have all the correct information on the settings page. Also, is there a way to export the devices I am monitoring with
Need help to move Service Desk data to another computer
I need to move Service Desk to another server computer. Is it just a matter of backing up the data, installing Service Desk the other machine and restoring the backup? I will appreciate any help on this.
MIB / Trap problems
Hi, I need help. I have opmanager running with in my business, its monitoring all the servers correclty. However the SNMp traps are not working correctly. We have our own custom MIBs for our software, it sends traps if there is an error. I have imported our MIBs in to the trap processor. It has recognised the traps and set up the corresponding processors. However when I am receiving traps from the servers using our custom software; the trap processors are not processing them and they are going straight
New Domain Controllers
We upgraded our Domain Controllers over the weekend and since then have not been able to login to SD. We have tried the local accounts on the PCs, AD accounts and the Default SD admin account and still we are unable to gain access to the system. Would it be possible for somebody to give us a call? Changing users OU via CSV
We have to introduce a restructure 1 January 2007. Currently AD is setup with users in correct structure within the AD. We are wanting to bulk move users from current AD structure with them in specific OU's into new OU containers and at the same time rename the values in Office, Department and Company fields via CSV. Is this possible, if so is there any chance of a sample CSV file with header row ?

Is it possible to have a report about the availability of the URLs being monitored especially in the Report Tab?
Problem with Traffic Monitors and HP switches
We have installed OpManager build 6011 and we have found out that the Traffic Monitors does not work with our switches. When we test these monitors, OpManager says: "The Monitor did not respond to the test request". We have tried the SNMP Timeout fix but it still does not work. We used the mib browser with the OID of these monitors, and the switches return the appropriate info. The SNMP communities are OK, because all the other monitors are working. Our switches are HP Procurve 4108gl, 2650 and 2626.
Configuring views
Hi, When you login to SD Plus as an admin you get to see two tabs whith different views, one in which you can see several graphical presentations of the number of requests. Can i configure SDPlus, so a normal user can see these graphics also?
Not able to send the mail
I am not able to send the mail from SD+ because, my antivirus is blocking the exe file. I am not able to exclude the exe file in the antivirus because, the rule enforecing from the EPO server and changes the edited list. Reports in EventLogAnalyzer
Although the graph and summary pages of my reports appear to be correct the reports never exceed 12 pages in length. I'd like to change this if possible. I am also a bit disappointed that there are no compliance reports (i.e. SOX, HIPPA) for anything but Windows hosts. Additonally I would like information on changing the cover page for the reports. Please advise.

We have just upgraded our service desk to version 5.5.0 and are trying to generate hardware reports. Whenever we run a report certain computers show up several times, some show up just once as they should but others are duplicated with slightly different attributes eg. videocard memory is 56365mb in one instance and 0 in the other. Some are in there 4times, this could be due to two network cards but it would be handy to be able to cut this down too? Thanks in advance, Leigh

Live Reports page empty
I am getting data collected on other pages but hte Live Reports page has no data to show. Is there something else I must do? Firewall is Watchguard running Fireware v8.3. You created a patch for me to get FWA to work with my Watchguard. Does something else have to be patched? chris
Link is up but no data being shown
All our routers are showing no data for in and out traffic. This started to happen from yesterday. The links are up (it has the green tick) but the there is no in or out traffic being shown, it is just sitting at 0% for all (7) of our routers... nothing has changed on the server or any of the routers at all... Please help!
Exporting of drilled-down reports and other issues
Hello there! 1. Is there a way to perhaps export the drilled-down reports of a particular entity, say, an IP address/hostname or a Protocol; to PDF or CSV format? To my knowledge this is currently not supported yet, am i right? If yes, is there a work-around? 2. Most of the IP addresses are not getting resolved to their respective hostnames. I can't view graph with SSH root account, user account work
Hi all, I use OpManager, when I want to see i.e. Memory utilization graph and I use Telnet/SSH account with right password - I can't see anything. When I use user account - I can see Mem. util. graph without problems. But CPU I can not see in bots cases, same as any information about HDD. Milan

Adventnet Using Own Tool for Maintenance Users
When is Adventnet going to use their own tool (ServiceDesk) for use with their maintenance customers? I have requested that you give public access to Adventnet's ServiceDesk system to all maintenance customers so that we could submit, track and correspond with Adventnet all of our outstanding issues just like we do with our own end users. after install of backup exec remote agent sd+ will not start
service desk version: Version : 5.5.0 Build Number : 5507 Has been running fine but after installing backup exec ver 10 remote agent and rebooting, service desk hangs on startup "application layer" . remote agent runs on port 10000. I ran tcpview from sysinternals and port 333666 was running by mysql. If I set the remote agent service to manual and stop it, then after rebooting server sd+ will startup fine. The funny thing is, now if I start remote agent *after* sd+ has already started up the remote
Availability, Ping tweaking?
Hi App-Support! I�ve many monitors and sometimes Application Manager brings an Availability Error, monitored server xy is not responding, but if i manually ping the server xy everything is ok. On the second poll AppManager brings an ok message. I think the ping which AppManager send on every poll is in our big environment to sensitive, is it possible to "tune/tweak" this? My workaround now is to set up "Poll 2 times consecutively before reporting the monitor is down" under "Configure Alerts", but
HP-UX Disk-Utilisation Monitor show not all Filesystems

Filter events from the dashboard diagram
Hi, We are using ELA4 to monitor 79 servers and are looking for an option to filter failed/succes log-in attempts from the dashboard on the HOME tab, because the diagram is mostly green/red from all the log-in events. The problem is that we can't use the database filters for this because we do need the info in configured "failed log-in reports". Is there a way to do this or is this a feature you can add? Sonic wall Tz170 Syslog help
I'm currently having my Sonic Wall firewall sending it's syslog to EventLog Analyzer. So far all the logs are going to it and I can view them. The problem is the WAN FW address has changed to a new one and EventLog Analyzer keeps showing the old address. The WAN FW address will change every few days since we haven't upgraded to a static IP address from our service provider. The reason I need this log is so I can set up EventLog Analyzer to email the log when the address changes so I can always VPN

Locating switchport by IP address
I am evaluating OpUtils and I am very interested in the rouge detection and switch port mapper. I am currently using CiscoWorks LMS but this only works with Cisco products. What is the best way to locate what switchport an IP address is on? It would be nice if this information can be display when I click on it from the other menus like rouge detection. Hardware scanning
I am having an issue with hardware scanning. I am running the software on our network that has 2 domains in it. I have already scanned the systems within the domain that has the Service Desk server in it. But I am getting very spotty results on the domain that is sharing the wire with it. I have a few of the workstations scanned using the Network scan, but I am getting about 75% failure with the error: "Either access denied for the user or the remote DCOM option might be disabled in the workstation."

Hi Support, I am trying to install SupportCentre on a HP ML 110 server /OS=Suse 10 Proffessional for a client .The installion of the binary file goes fine until I execute the run.sh script in the bin directory.It keeps failing on trying to start mysql. I have manually edited my.cnf file in /etc to point to the new location of mysql that comes with Supportcentre plus. I have installed a vanilla os with php and java and included the mysql client. 1. Schedule reports mail subject bug
Hello, I've noticed a strange thing - all new reports I create are sent with "-Schedule Reports" appended to the subject. Eg. a report named "Daily availability report - all sites" is received as "Daily availability report - all sites- Schedule Reports". The message body itself is fine (contains "Schedule Name Daily availability report - all sites"). This only happens to new reports; the old ones work properly. Any ideas how to fix this? It looks very unprofessional.
