Does Applications Manager 7 support SMUX (SNMP Multiplexing)? I can't see a SMUX monitor type, or find any discussion here on the subject. Thanks!
Disk I/O Statistics - No Data Available - Suse ES9 64x Linux
Hello, The host is SUSE ES9, 64bit, the AdventNet server is SUSE 10.1 64bit Regarding i/o stats, i am not receiving any data. Anyone have any suggestions? mobile number displays in new request
Hi. I'm using SDP 4.1.0 Build Number 4108 and have imported users from AD. I've noticed that if a requester has a mobile number available, this number is displayed in a new request instead of the number in the "phone" field. However, if there is no mobile number, the phone number is displayed correctly. Has this issue been previously addressed? Thanks, Amy

WEBSERVER PORT 81 IS OCCUPIED
I am attempting to trial OpManager as a network monitoring tool for our enterprise, though I get this error: WEBSERVER PORT 81 IS OCCUPIED. CHANGE THE PORT BY EXCECUTING BIN/CHANGEWEBSERVER SCRIPT. I have attempted many different ports. I have rebilt the box completely with a fresh/clean install. I have added the following lines to wrapper.conf wrapper.cpu.timeout=145 wrapper.startup.timeout=150 wrapper.shutdown.timeout=150 kind regards, James Murray

New Feature
It would be nice to if the subnets were standardized throughout the application. For instance IP Address Manager knows what subnets are on my network but I have to add each one individually for Network Scan.

Hey Guys, I would like to produce a report using SD to query AD. I would like to pull out all details of user accounts on our network. I require, Name, Job Title, Telephone Numbers and department. Can anybody help? Maybe a SQL report? Cheers George
FW Analyzer Reporting
I've been running FWA for about a week now, and would like to be able to produce a report that lists protocol use between a couple of subnets outside my PIX and an inside network. The aim is to see what protocols/ports are in use between one of our clients and us so we can lock down the firewall to only have essential services being permitted in both directions. Is it possible to do this?
Consumable Management in SD 6.0

Suggests about alerts and reports
Hi! I try using NFA to catch viruses (trojan programs) sending packets on different destinations by port 25 (smtp). I noticed that to view alert' report in details is very uncomfortable, because I can only see report and nothing more. I haven't possibilty to group information by categories (by source ip, by destination ip, by size). Only thing I can do is to sort by bytes or no of packet. Also, I wonder why there is not criteria by size of packets in Alert Profile Management. It would be good criteria
FW Analyzer Report - How To?
I tried to register but it says I tried too many times? I just tried once and once only...oh well. Here's my question: I've been running the Firewall Analyzer for about 5 days now. I'd like to be able to get a report on traffic and protocols between two outside subnets and 1 inside subnet from my PIX firewalls. There doesn't seem to be a simple way to create this filter that I can see. I'd like to see a table with source hosts --- Dest hosts --- protocols. Is such a report or log filter ruleset possible?

Problems connecting with linux PC
Hello, I have a problem scanning a linux server for the inventary. The message shown is : "Connection to RPC server in the workstation failed". I have set up a telnet session. I wonder which configuration parameters should I modify to find that server, or any alternatives in the protocols/ports to use. Request Form Customizer
Currently & in v6.0, it looks like the Request Form Customizer is a global configuration, and will affect all forms/request templates. Also, it looks like the Request - Additional Fields is a global configuration... We would like to see the ability for each Request Template to have its own form customizer ad additional fields configuration.

Custom Reports (sub queries)
We would like the ability to create reports with sub queries. For example: - We want to create an asset inventory report (showing Requester & Asset Name) - We would like to be able to additionally group based on the Requester location The resultant report will show each Location -> Requester (with owned assets)
Asset Import
We want to import all of our assets; however, we are unable to import the owner field. We would like to see the ability to import the owner field in the form of FirstName LastName. Of course we would need SD+ to be able to link the requester as the owner.
Creatin a PO number
I would like to use the PO creation in your SD+, we are already using the helpdesk and find it very useful. How can I create individual, incremental numbering when any text can be used in the field at present. Different departments use the PO database at present and I would imagine that it would be prefered to stay that way as it is not only used for IT equipment and a new process may just cause confusion if it were to be run alongside an existing system. Does the system at the moment check for duplicates?

Hello, I would like to modify the login screen extensively to better match my current web environment. I have looked for the html flies to modify, but I can not seem to locate them. Can someone help with this. I can find the .gif files and make modifications directly to the images, but I am really needing to modify the html code and make some modifications. Please help. Logging into SD using current credentials
Hi there We use Active Directory and have setup SD to use AD authentication. Is it possible to remove the need for a user to enter their domain account details when logging into SD and for it to login using the current user credentials? Many thanks Tim
Downloading previous versions of SD+
Is there a location to download previous versions of service desk plus? I know that the updates are good, and I don't dispute it, but I need an old version to install on a new server. I need to download version 5501, which is the current version of my production server. Then I can do a backup/transfer on the production server to the new server; then I can do updates to the latest version on the new server and my current production will be a backup by default and eventually phased out. Detailed report of availability
Hello, I saw in an old post (2004 oct 13), that the detailed report of availability of each device contained a list of period where the device was up and down. But with the version we are testing, the detailed report only contained a percentage of those period. Is it possible to get, this list of period with the actual version, or will it be reimplemented in future release. Our build version : 6013. Thank You.
SC+ wont start
Whilst testing some other, non-related software, I stopped SC+ and it was not used for around two weeks. Now when I try to start it , it just doesn't. The Java process just stops. No error on screen, nothing. I've copied the most recent log entries below. I'm sure we're using 5034. Any help appreciated. David. Binding Opmanager to one IP
I have a new multi-homed server running IIS, Kerio Mailserver and hopefully OpManager, I have 3 Public ips, with IIS bound to one, Kerio to another, but I cant fet OpManager to bind to one ip address. I have tried changing apache's config to "Listen x.x.x.x:80" but i get HTTP 400 errors. Ideas?
Removed Software-Rescanned Machine-Software still shows
I removed a software package, deleted the folders, removed the reg key for the package, and checked the HKEY_LOCAL\...\Windows\Uninstall and it doesnt show up there either. But when I rescan the machine, not only does the history not reflect the removal of the software package, but it is still showing up in my scanned software as residing on the machine. Yes, I can just delete the software, but when I remove software from a workstation, shouldn't it be reflected by the next scan?
Reduce Number of License
The only thing I found in this forum for reducing the number of licenses purchased for a software product is in October 2005 where the solution is to delete the asset and recreate it. Please tell me that there is a better solution now. I simply want to change my number of licenses purchased from 18 to 14.
