Hello - I am testing Firewall analyzer for our Netscreen VPN deployment. This will consist of roughly 60 Netscreen devices varying from 5XP's to the newer SSG models. I have some questions: 1. Will the application run on a VMware virtual server running Windows 2003? 2. Does the Database clean itself up? Delete logs before the drive hits capacity? 3. We are running a pure route based VPN environment (no policy based VPN's). Do the VPN reports only function in a policy based environment? I am not seeing

URL Monitoring service down when its not
We currently have a number of URL monitors on one particular device. We're receiving alarms indicating that the URL is down because the host is unreachable. the error i receive is: 404: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. : http://206.196.121.13:42 However, when entering the URL in a browser, i'm able to connect to the site and i can even click on the URL link in OpManager and open the site. Editing Notes in Request
When I try to edit a note in a request that has multiple notes I can only edit the last note created, not a previous one; even if I've clicked the edit icon next to the older note I wish to edit. Is there a fix for this?
Asset in Request
Hey everyone, I'm testing out the new release of service desk 6 and so far it's great! However I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the ability to attach an asset to a request, like you can attach the workstation. I've found the option of "item" under the category / sub category but I understand that can be for anything. Forgive me if this has been addressed, or is still pending with new releases, but how do you add an asset? Thanks! Eric

Hi I'm sending traps from machine A to machine B. I can see in Ethereal that the packets (SNMP Traps) are arriving in machine B but how do I capture it in OPManager (OPManager 6 free). I've checked in 'Unsolicited Traps' but nothing is arriving. Can any one help me with this? Cheers

Hi, In MSP , is important to show to the customer the number of critical alarms on a device , and the time until they clear. This way , we can show that beacause we are notify immediately the customer IT team, will help this team to recover the device , sooner that before, so the MSP service is a real addtional value. MySQL startup after install
Hi, My Details: OS: SuSE SLES10 (VmWare ESX Client) My Issue: After completing the installation of PMP on the server I attempted to start the app using [PMP_HOME]/bin/pmp.sh start I then get a failure message telling me that the server failed to start. Traffic Monitor Problems
Im having problems with getting OpManager to consistently record traffic monitor details such as Interface Rx Traffic and Interface Tx Traffic. I notice that when a device is discovered, OpManager may automatically assign traffic counters to it, but it wont start collecting data until I go into the traffic monitor, click edit, then click test monitor. Once I do that, sometimes the collection will continue and sometimes it will only record that one instance from when I clicked test monitor. This problem

Additional Field Problem
When I create Additional Field with multi line type, I input default values to appear in pre-filled formed. It works in 5036 version well but it does not work in 6001 version. When you check default values in configuration wizard, it can be seen.However, additional fields are empty in request form..It is very bad for us because all data are input according to default values but it is not possible now..
Account file attachment
Hi all, I have my accounts details like admin passwords, firewall setups etc in pdf's so the support reps can easily find the information for each account. I have attached one file to an account, but can't find the file once the account has been saved. I would have though it would show on either the account or from a support ticket for that account? Any ideas?
2 instances of Appmanager on same Unix server

Oracle DB monitoing
I'm currently monitoring an Oracle DB on one of our servers and it was configured and displayed performance data fine. However it seems that every day or so I go into the monitor and it has stopped reporting info in the Table space usage graph and several other fields. I then do an update on the monitor and after the next polling cycle the data is displayed again. I looks like it's losing it's authentication information...?
