hi all, i have installed Netflow analyzer 5 some time back. and when i tried to login yesterday i could not. i remember changing the default passwd 'admin/admin' to my own. but i dint remember the passwd. i have the root access to the system. how do i reset the passwd to default? thanks in advance, pavan
Problems with hyperlinks
When using MS Visio, I can't seem to get a hyperlink to work and bring me to a snapshot reports page of servers set up. Instead I am brought to an overview page. Anyone else have issues similar to this one? thanks matt
Linking to report pages
I'm working on a project where I need to have a hyperlink take me to a servers report page. Everytime I set up a hyperlink I am brought to the page which shows: Average Availability Availability Distribution Top-N CPU Utilization and more bar graphs of ALL the servers set up. Has anyone dealt with this or know how a work around this?
SMS Toolkit for MSP

Hi I need to create a new user with name=pratap & authorization password = pratap123 in USM table in C-Agent. As directed by you, I have tried this using application snmpUSMRemoteConfigure . Resize logo
Hi, I want to change the SD logo to our Co's Logo. I have already import our Co's Logo. My Co's logo was in square size, but I notice that the SD logo was in rectangle. So, after import my co's logo, it resize in a rectangle. Can anyone tell me how to fix the logo size to be the one as save in the uploaded image, which for my case is in square size? Problem in OP7 adding switch
Hi,Op team I have installed OP7 in Windows 2003 Server,and used MS SQL as OP7's Database,when I add swithces I meet a serious problem. I added a cisco 2950-48G using 10 mins,I found that OP7 needs long time to add it's ports,then OP7 returns "add successfully".Meantime I check "task management",there only sqlsvr.exe using 45%-70% CPU and 201M memory. Roles question
Hi, I do not see a way to assign/limit rights to the contact module of the system. I do see that I can assign righst to the account module. Does this mean that the rights set in the account module also reflect to the contact module? I am asking because I do not want to allow everybody to create contacts and are looking for a way to limit. thanks, Sandoor
No contact notification when Adding Note or Replying from EM
We're testing the SCP product have noticed several things. We have the option to send notification to the contact when a ticket is updated enabled, however it does not seem to be working. Perhaps we're doing something wrong - we're sending out notification to a group when the incident is first created. Backup / Restore
Having a run at rhe new version. Played with 6.0 a little but was waiting for release of 7.0 Now that everything is running fine (so far) the questions begin. Of course my first item is backing up since this is more important in my books. I see there is a method to backup the database etc but I was unable to find any automated restore methods. Also, does the backup allow you to move to another server then restore at the new location and continue as if nothing changed. Cheers Mark

Is there an incomming mail cache?
Is there a place where incomming mail is stored that I can clean up? I originally setup my incomming and outgoing mail on an account that had an auto responder, now I find myself recieving a lot of trash every time the fetch takes place. I have since turned off everything in the notification rules but they continue to come in and the content of the mail is from that account I originally used. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hi Guys Need some help here. Whilst Ive studied TCPIP, SNMP etc a few years back, it appears Im quite rusty on MIB's. We are using Opmanager MSP (which has no MIB Browser at the central store.. only on the probe). I do have an understanding of what a MIB is, how it relates to SNMP, how it queries devices, traps etc etc What I do feel is lacking is my understanding of how, where and the related processes of importing MIBS into MSP. e.g. We have a customer�s site with a Xerox 8550 printer. Why do I get an error/notice when exporting version 9 flows?
I'm using version 6 of Netflow Analyzer. When I set up my router with "flow-export version 9", NFA gives me an error/notice at the top of the page that it's receiving version 9 flows. Isn't that supposed to be supported? Is there something else I have to set up in the router? Thanks for any info. ---John Holmes...

I have upgraded the msp version and was hoping a ot of new things... Look at the wifi section..... Is there any AP that is using a harddrive? So why do you see this? Why are ther so little mibs in the database? For example is missing AP1100 the cisco swich 3560. The AP1100 are in the the wifimanager so copy it simple into MSP. Of course you can do it you self but ik think we have payed enough for this product that you can except that this would be standard. Why are the alarm msg not completed? (max

OpManager 7 becomes very very slow
Hello, we are evaluating the OpManager 7. We added a lot of machines on friday, with no problems. On monday the OpManager was inaccessible. The login page requires about 5 minutes to appear. After login you have to wait for more than 10 minutes to change between the sites. While surfing on the site the java.exe process consumes 100% CPU. The OpManager monitors now about 250 devices. Security Masking
With SD 7 Plus beta I have a suggestion relating to masking. While I appreciate that this is designed primarily as an internal tool, there are times wheren you want to quarantine information from one group of users vs another. For example if you have a large company with different divisions, and you have proceedures on how to access say local proxy servers or local mail servers etc (in the knowledgebase) it would be good to be able to mask or set some permissions on accessing this content so you

Object are not placed correctly in map view
In mapmaker of Opmanager itself, I've created a new business view and have placed the shortcuts and links where I would like them. When I then view the map in OpManager, the icons are not where I placed them and the link lines are off about 1cm so that they are not actually touching the shortcuts. Any ideas on why this is occurring? Also, I deleted a business view and recreated it with the same name. My user who is limited to all business views can no longer see this particular business view in OpManager.
SQL 2005, non-domain, DBs & SQL monitoring not work
I have 3 SQL 2005 servers (1 in domain, 2 are non-domain). All monitoring works great on the domain member, but for the non-domain servers, only part of the WMI works like CPU, Disk, and Memory; windows service info is also returned. This indicates that the login/security info is working... However, anything to do with the SQL Server Monitor is non-functioning - no info on the regular counters, no db list is returned. Fix for Interfaces not showing up
I installed the OpManager 7 patch, but I noticed that you still haven't fixed the issue of the network interfaces not showing up. Do you know when that piece of OpManager is going to be fixed.
Scanning a seperate domain from the native one
At our facility we have two domains, we'll say A & B. Domain A contains the ServiceDeskPlus server (v6). Now I am trying to scan Domain B, and I can get service desk to connect to see all of the OU's but it fails when I try to perform the scan. From running netstat while I do the change it looks to me like service desk is trying to connect using NETBIOS names, and not the FQDN, is this the expected behaviour?
Feature request
First, this is a great product and it looks like development is headed in the right direction. A feature request I have not seen mentioned in the user forum yet that I would like to see is a way for Password Administrators to run a report that tells them what resources they have shared out and to whom. Right now folks have to click on each individual resource or resource group to find out who they have it shared out to. This can get rather tedious if you need to make sure your resources are shared
