Servicedesk plus 7 License/Subscription

My work is currently using the trial version of servicedesk plus 7 and have been extremely happy with it. I just wanted to clarify how the licensing works for this software.
We are looking at the enterprise version for 5 techs and 250 nodes US$2995
From what i have gathered this is an annual subscription. Is it the same amount every year or does it get cheaper after the initial subscription?
I was also told about perpetual licensing which i was told is the 2.5 X annual subscription fee and then 20% of (2.5 X annual Subscription fee).
which option do most users go for or recommend? Also is this a new pricing structure for version 7 compared to version 6?
