Problems with Incoming mail appendage to conversations
Hi, I am encountering problems with some incoming mail being appended to conversations within a request. I have successfully enabled the incoming mail function and been able to integrate some replies from requesters into the appropriate request conversations automatically, however from some requesters (notably users from our corporate addresses!) SD+ fails to recognize that there is a request associated with the reply and proceeds to open a new request based on the email. My question is how does

Hi all. Although there appear to have been no new re-occurences of this problem since updating to 6010, we still have a lot of requests and solutions which contain \\r\\n entries in the text. Is there a way of removing these all in one go please? Thanks
Unable to add servers in DMZ
Hi team, We have three servers in DMZ and we monitor the servers using eventlog analyzer. We have enabled a rule in firewall which allows communication b/w the evenlog analyzer server and the DMZ servers over the UDP ports 514 and 514.The servers are not part of our domain and belong to a workgroup. We are unable to collect logs even after enabling rule in the firewall.Kindly advice on how to proceed
Database and OS compatibility
HI, I am evaluating this product for our MSP. we are seriously thinking to use opmanager and service desk. I wanted to install opmanager MSP edition and ServiceDesk Plus 7.0 Enterprise Edition. Please let mw know whether it is suitable for MSP. Next question is Can I use MS SQL 2005 and Windows 2003 with both latest patch. Or else please let me know which OS and which DB version is most suitable. I don't want to end up in incompatibility issue. Please help. Regards YAsh
Turn off Authentication
Running SDP 6.0.0. When a user sends in an email, they get an email back with the $requestlink. When a user goed to that page, authentication is required. How can I turn off authentication for users. I want them to click on the link and go right to the status of their ticket page. Kevin
Monitor Drive array or individual HDD status?
Is it possible to monitor the individual drive or SCSI/SAS/SATA/IDE RAID array status in a server? I would like to have the ability to be notified in case an array goes off line or a HDD begins reporting bad sectors. I am not sure if this is possible through SNMP? Or through OpManager. If it is, how is this enabled? Thanks
I am facing the problem with opening of multiple windows
Whenever I right-click the menu item , I am able to open multiple windows of the same element or Instance. Since we are using JFrame the init() takes care of opening of new windows. My requirement is to open or show only a single(same) window even when user clicks the same menu item for several times. Please help me in achieving the above. Thanks.

OpManager stopping SQL Server Agents??
This problem only started after we installed OpManager with SQL monitor add-on. For some reason, our SQL Server Agents will just stop for no apparent reason. Has anyone else run into this? Is this a bug with the software package? Thanks! Emily
Exchange Monitor-service down
I have version 7 and the exchange monitor is reporting that exchange service is down. I have checked my exchange services and three of them are not started as they are not used. How can I exclude them from monitoring so that it doesn't report that exchange services are down?

Saving a Request to PDF, HTML etc
I noticed in many locations info can be saved to many different file formats instead of printing. This would be great for a Request. I can print but I need to save a PDF for e-mailing. Sometimes requests need to be passed along to ppl who cannot access SDP. Is there a simple way to save the complete request (as it is printed) to PDF. Cheers Mark
Cannot get WMI monitoring to work
Hi, We have installed OpManager and are able to monitor all of our servers and devices with SNMP fine. However, when trying to add any WMI monitors, such as exchange, OpManager reports the service is down and an authentication failure alert is generated for that server. Now the 'windows' credential is being used and the domain admin account is put there. Suddenly can't establish connection to server
Hi... I'm succesfully installed OP Manager 7 but after few time, the web panel suddenly can't be viewed again. I had to restarted OpManager using sh StartOpManagerServer.sh again. After a few time again the web panel can't be viewed again. I already add Op Manager running as a service but when I tried issuing this command "service opmanager status" I received "env: /etc/init.d/opmanager: No such file or directory" Please advise somebody

Installing OpManager ubuntu 7.04
Hello, I sucessfully installed OpManager on Ubuntu 7.04. But when I try to start the OpManager Server I get the error message : "Failed to establish connection with web server. Confirmation of Log Review - Audit Question
Within EventLog Analyzer, are there any controls that will confirm that a particular log was reviewed? I was hoping there is something inherent to the tool, versus establishing a manual log to confirm when specific logs were reviewed. This would appear to over state the obvious, but the audit team is looking for additional evidence on a log being accessed.
Only memory utilization works for Cat 6500 series switches.
I have a bunch of Cat 6500 series swicthes and I am interested in monitoring teh CPU and Backplane utilizations alongwith port mapping. None of the above works except the memory utilization. Hi, In SD 7 the mysql server is used that is included in SD 7, but now i have a problem doing insert i some tables. insert into approvalstagemapping values (100,120) When i do above i get error that it is not possible, when I copy the db in my own sql database. Dear all, we are a master -reseller and we sell products to resellers. so our contacts may have different accounts to be responsible for (only the resellers ask questions in our suppor t portal), but it is not possible to link one contact to different accounts (endusers etc.) is there a way to manage our problem? is this on your roadmap?
web portal vs self-service feature
What is the value of the web portal vs the regular self-service? The self-service has authentication in which the user/customer can login to submit/view requests and get information. I see the web portal feature which does not have authentication -- just a URL link. The web portal allows for customization of what the user/customer can view -- links, messages, etc. Will the self-service and web portal features be merged in future releases where there is only one portal and that portal can be customized

Is there a way to get BCC-ed on all incoming and outgoing Service Desk emails\Notifications? I could look through reports to keep an eye on the status of things but it would be much easier if I could just get emailed when a request is created/sent for approval or closed. I'd say there needs to be a Manager Role added but I'll save that for my 6 Month Feature request post.

problems monitoring exchange on SBS 2003 + probe
