Request list after 1st month of usage.
1. Work-flow - A child request system would be best. The task system is too limited.
2. The ability to make work-flow templates.
3. Make "Product/Category not for further usage" available at all times. Not only after a delete.
4. Previous and next buttons on the bottom of views. When I am looking at 500 records I don't want to scroll back up to hit next.
5. Make the width of the showRequester() pop-up relative to the column selected for that view. Right now I on get "All - R" before I have to scroll over.
6. Incorporate the category tree view into the actual requests. So clicking on a category, subcategory or item populates the three drop down boxes.
7. Make the category tree view printable. Nice for a new install or showing a new employee the category structure. For some reason SnagIt does not like to capture the scroll of the window.
8. Add the ability to add more software categories. I know I can add more just editing the database but I shouldn't do that.
9. Remove the workstations section. Instead incorporate it in the Assets section. Each PC asset will have box for either IP Address or PC Name. That device will be scanned and the information is displayed on tabs in that assets not in a completely different section.
10. Clicking on "Inventory" brings you to the same screen all the time. Right now there are two different locations depending on which Inventory you click on.
11. Add "send email to" to Business Rules.
12. Add a view that is based on customer to the assets section. So I can look at a single requester and see what assets they have. I can do it with a report, but that is too many steps for such a common function. A tree based view would be best.
13. Customizable fields depending on the category picked. Example: When someone clicks on "New Hire". The request updates with new fields they need to fill in. Right now I am using Rich Text in the description field on a few templates.
14. A customizable Home page. I want to see "My open or unassigned requests", "Requests on hold", Tasks and any other block of info I want all on one page.
15. Multiple approvals for Purchase Orders. In our organization more than one person is required to approve requests over $500. Right now we use a request for the first approvals and a PO for the last one.
16. Add tiers to the Products/Items. The list of items is getting very long. Adding categories to this section would make picking a product easier.
17. The ability to assign an asset to a department and an individual. So when looking at the assets we can see what individuals have or what a whole department has. This would also help for when someone leaves the company. Their items can be assigned to "Stock" but the department still has ownership of the items.
18. More information about each scanned software. Version rarely ever get populated. So how about EXE name, date and path. Maybe even a system to have version filled in from a table that could be updated. So c:\somewhere\my.exe with date 11-9-99 is version 1.2.
