SDP 7.0.0 Build 7014 open issues

converting workstations to assets
hello, upgraded to SD+6 to SD+7 last week, and all has been smooth. however, it looks like the new inventory management has turned a lot of what used to be "assets" in SD6 into "workstations" in SD7. is there any way to change them back to assets without re-keying them in? p.s. are there built in definitions for assets? it was pretty wild to find out servicedesk had already filed away mpost of my assaets into proper categories
Monitoring NTLM URLs
I was under the impression that we were able to monitor URLs that use NTLM authentication. It does not appear to work at the moment and OpManager 7 (build 7010) reports that the host is unavailable (to which it is certainly not). Active Directory
I have the helpdesk set to auto pull all the users from our exchange active directory. Is there a way to set it so that it will show the user's full name? It currently just comes over as their login name for both the login and the full name. We have over 500 employees so I don't want to go through and rename them all.
Memory monitor and alarm repoting high utilization
We have the default memory utilization performance monitor set up to alarm at > 70% and rearm at 60%. The problem we have is that the alarm and memory monitor is constently reporting 95% or more memory usage. When I clear the alarm, and get a new alarm reporting 99% memory utilization, I log into the server and open task manager. Task manager is reporting: 1.5GB physical memory 541MB available pagefile usage is 665MB - the total size is 4096MB so its only using a small amount. Why is Opmanager reporting
Change interface type in routers.
Hi, I have in my network some AudioCodes. This product is a voice gateway and it is similar Cisco Routers. When I discovery it, OpManager auto configure Digital DS1 interface. I would like change it to E1 or ISUP interface, but I don't find where I do this. If it's no possible to change this configuration, I would need to add a new Category for example "voice gateway" with this E1 or ISUP configuration. It's possible to do this? Tks! Marlon
schedule tasks not appearing after public holiday
I have some schedule task that have been created and log jobs for me to check servers etc every morning. Some of the jobs are daily and some are monthly for maintenance. Since a public holiday they are not running and logging jobs any more, I have to manually go to them as a admin and log the jobs by clicking on the arrow. What can I do to make these jobs run again? I do not want to re create them.
Do not re-open requests based on ignored e-mail types
Currently the system can ignore certain e-mails, like Out of Office, for the purposes of notification. However, these e-mails will still re-open a resolved call. Resolved calls should ignore the same things as notifications.

Hi, I've been having an ongoing problem with the Notification Profiles. I recently had a tech support person from OpManager look at my system and they did "fix" the issue, but I'm still not happy with the way that OpManager is dealing with email. Home Page - Assets tab software graphs only showing MS
On the Assets tab of the Home page in Technician view are a number of graphs that show details about scanned hardware. One of the graphs shows details of scanned software that is installed onto the workstations scanned by SDP. The problem I am having is that this graph is only showing software from Microsoft regardless of the selection made from the "More" drop down menu. Ticket Conversation Issue
When a requestor goes to view a conversation (expands), the windows slides open and has the spinning graphic in it but no text, at the same time a new browser window opens and displays the message. Anyone else have this happening on 7013?

time on last scan is not same time zone as computer\vista.
In EventLog shows wrong time (zone) where last scans of clients are listed. It does not match the system's time. Approx 4 hours ahead of EST.??? Also my EventLog has once again stopped collecting data? How do you repair the MYSQL database? How do I know why it stopped? Where is database pack\repair icon in Settings?

Hi, I am trying out the Service Desk before buying it. When I create a purchase order and submit it for aprroval. When I log on as administrator and click on the PO number and there is no Approve this PO from the task menu bar. Please help. Dee

Hi all, we have a problem when setting up URL monitoring with OpManager. Essentially when we test the URL ( a simple http://www.blah.com/abc) we get back an error - 400: The request could not be understood by the server due to malformed syntax. The client SHOULD NOT repeat the request without modifications : http://www.blah.com/abc I ran an Ethereal trace from the server and got the following. When a user tries to add a note to a request, it pops up a blank window before creating a note.

Reporting Question, and customizing the view
Hello, I have a couple of questions. My first question is about reporting. I have asked this before, but did not get an answer. Is there a report that I can run to show time to resolve? If a custom one needs to be written, can someone help me out with that? Running on a SQL2005 server. My second question is about the view on the main Requests tab. I know about the box that you can click to being up the column views, and was wondering if there was a way to put Resolved Date in the list? Thanks! ben
migration from win 2k pro sp4 to win xp pro sp2
I trying to migrate OpManager 7100 under win 2k sp4 to OpManager 7100 under win xp pro sp2. I make a backup file and restore at new installation. The process finished but I can not see my old configuration and account, next I copy old folder conf and users but the service did not start up. Thanks you.

your opinions please, migration safe?
Hey Everybody, We've been using servicedesk plus 6 for over a year now and use all of the features extensively. I'd like some feedback from some of you on how smoothly your migrations from 6 or 7 went, and the current state of version 7 for known bugs etc. it took me about 2 or 3 months to work all of the bugs out of opmanager 7 after upgrading from 6. Need to see process command line
We need to be able to see the command line of the process that we are monitoring. The reason is because we have many processes with the exact same name and the only way to know the difference between each process is to view the command line that called it. If you view the process with a tool like SysInternal's ProcessExplorer you can see the command line. Is this possible with OpManager or Application Manager. import existing GPO security policies
one issue I see with security policy screen is it might over ride existing stable policies linked and created by GPMC to a GPO. if the policy could be imported then controlled here it might avoid conflicts.
WMI failing on test credential
No idea why this keeps failing? I've opened the ports on the firewall, installed SNMP and WMI SNMP Provider and set the required details for the SNMP service but the test credentials fails every time on WMI. Username format is correct also (domain\username). Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Problem/Change lists flicker when mouse moved up and down
When moving the mouse pointer up and down the Problem and Change lists the list wobbles/judders. It is very annoying and uncomfortable to use. This happens in IE 7 and Firefox 2. It does not seem to effect the Requests list.
Locked out of trial
We have recently installed and setup the trial of ServiceDesk Plus. It was set to authenticate via Active Directory pass through. The default administrator account was removed and a technician account added with the name MikeS. A number of days later (and many hours of setup and config) the Active Directory pass through tick was removed. Now we're unable to logon to the system. The only technician name in the system is/was MikeS. But we're unable to logon using it. How can we logon or how can we
unable to scan after upgrade to 7 from 6
just upgraded to :Version : 7.0.0 Build Number : 7012 now whenever attempting to scan a new workstation it comes back with a completlely different workstation. ie: "New Scan" choose PC228 it comes back with PC104. Our DHCP server is set to scavange records after 7 days, I tried manually removing all dhcp records and dns records for the workstations but same prob. we do not use netbios over tcp/ip pleadse help this is a showstopper for us.

"Last Hour" is more than the "Last 6 Hour", how can that be? I've seen this before, but I have captured it in PDFs. I've seen this in previous versions as well, we are on Build Number : 6100. It is a fresh install of not just the application, but the server OS, the application (and OS I believe) have been in service for about 2 weeks or less. This calls into question the confidence of the data aggregation.

Creation of Test Environment
I am in the process of setting up a test environment for SD+, our live is getting too big and busy to be using for my fiddling etc.. I have a few questions: Is it possible to have this setup on a Windows XP Pro machine with SQL Server 2005? When I restore database, will this also bring across the settings of SD+, like Mail fetch etc, or will this all need to be setup if needed? I have installed the same version of SQL etc as LIVE server etc, but the live server is not running XP pro but Windows server,

Reports: Filter on last n days
Is there a way to run a report filtering on the last n days from the current date? For instance, I want to run a report that returns results based on the last 10 days. Any ideas?
