Hi, I have installed OpManager 7 for linux today. After installation I tried to start Op Manager server with this command ./StartOpManagerServer.sh and I am getting following error Java Home /opt/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/jre cp: cannot stat `/opt/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/apache/ssl/backup/ssl.conf': No such file or directory The File: /opt/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/apache/ssl/ssl.conf does not exist inside addon check Unable to start Mysql daemon Unable to create database Exiting OpManager I have CentOS
Switchport mapper with L3 switches
So our switches are L3 vlan routers. (Standard Cisco 6500's). I need to add them to the 'switch' category in order to use the switch-port mapper feature. Got that. But, they are the routers as well, which is needed to resolve the ARP/IP address mapping for the mapper application. ...I can't have them in both categories. Is there a way to make them be able to be listed as a router as well? Thank you.
need longer data retention for ad hoc historical reporting
Hi there, It seems that Opmanager only saves 1 data point per day after a week or so has past. Is there a way to adjust how much historical data is saved? Regards, Andy

If logged on as Technician, then in the GLOBAL VIEW, it is showing CHANGE BY TYPE. I want to see the Requests in Global View and not the Changes.

I have multiple sites which each have different support email addresses which today feed different support software which sweeps into different queues which each site monitors for inbound requests. how can the same be accomplished with ServiceDesk Plus? I can only find one master email address which users send requests to. I'd like to have the following: UKhelp@domain.com feed into Service Desk Plus and route to Site UK with UK techs assigned to this location Americahelp@domain.com feed into Service

Hi, I've been testing the product out on a Windows workstation and liked what I saw. Running into a small problem though in Ubuntu attempting to configure FA as a service. Note: I AM able to start the application using the run.sh script, I just can't get it to install as a service properly. Missing Data
Hi there, i've noticed since upgrading to NFA 7 that when I goto view historical data after the upgrade, it does not display. Looking at "Last Week" I get a blank graph and no output, but when I look at "Yesterday" I see it's capturing and reporting fine. Is there any way to tell if i'm loosing data or not? This is kind of critical as we bill according to this data and it's showing nothing! I will upload the latest LogZipUtil.sh output to support@netflowanalyzer.com now. Thanks Kris

Hello There, I was wondering if there is a way to have alerts generated by the event source instead of the event id or something. What I am looking to do is have an alert profile for say...all alerts from any host that is from MSSQLSERVER. Yes, I know you can have it by event ids, and even multiple event ids, but I am really looking for a way to have it by source instead. Migrating Event log Analyzer to a new server
Hi, I am a total newbie to event log analyzer. A customer of mine has an over utilized pc/server and it has been decided that event log analyzer in it entirety will be migrated to a new server. I have done a little research on this but I cant seem to find any documenation explaining the procedures involved. I have a query that's generating a Report design not valid error. If I remove a small part such as part of the CONCAT for field 8, or even the ORDER BY the error goes away. I've tried crunching the query up onto one line, etc. It runs fine when run directly inside mysql. For those interested - it's supposed to report on overdue tickets, unassigned, no account, etc. Note that I have not added the check for no account yet but figured I'd try to understand why I'm getting this error. Mysql compatibility problem
Hi All, Im trying to install ServiceDesk Plus to evaluate it but unfortunately i couldn't. I think the problem is that i have mysql 5 installed on red hat 5 enterprise edition and it's not compatible with ServiceDesk Plus NOTE:i tried to install ServiceDesk on another server where the version of mysql is 4.1 and i succeded. How can i install Service Desk Plus with mysql 5 as database?? Can anyone help me?? :roll:

Hi all, I cannot figure out how to get a device to generate an sms/e-mail when its response time exceeds its threshold. I set the value on the device by editing the response time. When I try to add a notification profile for the device, I expand 'when any [selected...] Threshold rule is violated' However, when I click on selected it says that no thresholds have been defined. Switchport Mapper Deletes Monitored Devices
I tried to use SwitchPort Mapper. It didn't list any switches, even though I had many added. I'm guessing it only thinks devices in the "Switches" category are switches. How do you use SwitchPort mapper on switches that you define in a custom infrastructure? It should allow you to choose ANY device you add. Since it didnt list any devices, I just tried adding one (it was already added under a custom view), but it said the device did not exist. Then I went back to my view and lo'and'behold, the device
Export configuration
I have a bad upgrade from version 7 to version 8. To clean this up i would like to export my current configuration ( devices, Actions, etc) out and do a fresh install then import the config. Is there a easy way to do this? Also if i were to have this scripted so i can have a backup solution of my configuration can you point me in the right direction as well?

Hi, We are evaluating Firewall Analyzer . When importing logfiles manually, we find that the user's TEMP directory is filled with what seems to be work files. This happens under C:\Documents and Settings\. The files being very large, and this partition being dedicated to the system ( meaning *not* applications), we face "insufficient space" problems. How could we configure Firewall Analyzer to work in another TEMP directory ? Thanks

Hi, I was wondering if Radmin (Remote Administrator) is supported within PMP, or if anyone has managed to make it work using the auto logon helper? All workstations in our domain user radmin for our helpdesk staff to connect and manage them. It sure would be a great bonus if there was a way to configure a "helper" to enable an end user to connect directly to it using radmin while querying the account name in PMP. Thanks

Hi I would like to create a custom view that shows all jobs i have added time to. These may be jobs that are assigned to other technicians. My name only appears under the time elapsed section when i add a work log. Is it possible to create this view. The only other way is to run a report and this is not ideal. Ta

Hi, when I click on home I get an overview like this: IT Assets Workstations 1000 Printers 50 Routers 8 Switches 2 Others 0 Others TFT Monitor 216 Device 498 Others 179 Accessories 96 PC Hardware 100 When I now click on "Others / Others 179", sdplus doesn't show any entries for this category. Same problem for all but Workstations... If I for example go to TFT Monitors the list is empty and ---all products--- is selected. If using the left assets navigation and going to TFT Monitors it works fine

ssh session from pmp to resource hangs
i try to change the password for a resource (Solaris) it just hangs saying "Processing" in the dialog window. i checked on the server side, the login is working, the pmp server is logging in but it hangs in the session forever. are there any additional options for this to work ? can this be done using public/private keys or do i have to specify the root password for the change to happen ? great software btw.

Netflow Analyzer : Not reflecting data under UTILIZATION tab
