AM display incorrect status for WebSphere ND monitor
Hello, I'm testing monitor WebSphere ND using AM 8.4. I add a new monitor in Network Deployment type as attached picture AM_WAS_Config.gif. Then AM can get information all cluster members correctly (all clusters are up). After that I stop cluster TWCMem2 (See attached picture WAS_Status.gif for information from WebSphere console) But AM still display that cluster's status is up as attached picture AM_WAS_Status.gif. Why the status isn't correct? I try to setup a new monitor using WebSphere Base type

alarm on group or IP address?
I am looking for a way to place an alarm really on any ip address that goes over a certain percentage in an application use. For instance, I am monitoring a router which has several subnets that pass through it. I have set groups for those subnets. What I would like is to receive an alarm if an IP address exceeds a certain percentage of say SMTP out use. Thanks, tk

Password Problems
I downloaded ServiceDesk Plus for myself only to use on my local machine to keep track of the help I give in my organization. I had not had to log in since the beginning because it held my user name and password...until the other day. I don't know why, but it was asking me to log in the other day and of course, I don't remember what I changed the password to. I know I changed the user name and the password, but I have forgotten what it is because I never had to use it. Can anyone give me any suggestions
Application won't start
Dears, I've just installed ServiceDesk Plus 7 Enterprise Edition trial version about a week ago to demonstrate it to our management in order to purchase it within this month. however, since the installation I could not start the application. Hi all, I'm looking information about installing SupportCenter on a ISP hosting provider. I already have a Linux hosting plan. I want to know if its possible to install SupportCenter on ISP. Considering that I can create a database on MySQL and have Apache running. Our IT Director has been looking at the AD Self Service Portal feature within AD Manager as a standard. He likes this but wishes to change and display an additional custom attribute we have that holds the users Work Ext number. Upgrading / Patching Tomcat
As I understand it SC+ currently runs on Tomcat version 5.0.28. This seems to be a very old version of Tomcat - Released 28th Aug 2004, over four years ago(!) - and therefore I can only assume is unlikely to be as secure as the newer versions of 5.5 and 6.0. 1. How do I make the IP field unique and properly masked in the asset area? If an asset is added it should follow octet standards and not be a plain text field. You can 192.168.FFF.ABC and it will accept it. 2. How do we generate a report on workstations and their IP addresses? No current tags exist for IP. 3. I created a Custom Monitor Type and setup 3 monitors that run the vbs script with different arguments. With all 3 monitors managed, the wscript.exe process will hang - no errors on the system, no alerts, no nothing. In addition, Applications Manager will respond extremely slow during this time. assets and workstations, what do i do
hi when i was using version 6 i largely ignored the workstation bit and focused on assets only. now i have upgraded to version 7 and all the assets and workstation have been combined i have following issue 1) i have duplicate entries, for each scanned workstation i also have an "old" asset name which is the asset tag label (number range starting at 5000 and up), this is now called the resource name. 2) "old" assets that have been disposed and are marked as disposed do not have a corresponding workstation

SQL threshold notification
Hello, We're running OpManager 7202 with SQL Monitoring. I have a number of thresholds set under MSSQL Monitors. If I look at the Monitors I can see that they are working, because they display Violated or Normal. I wanted to set an email notification for the thresholds, but when I try to select a threshold in Criteria it tells me No thresholds have been set for this device. Custom Monitor
Have successfully created a custom monitor which is displaying information which I would like to see over a period of time. Have enabled reports for the attributes in question but only appear to be able to see information for 6 hours. There is an option for displaying 7 or 30 days but it does not work. Should I be able to see historic information on Custom Monitors? Also, is it possible on a Custom Monitor to define the health of the monitor? Chris Self
snap shot and interface difference
Testing NetFlow Analyzer and have noticed there is a difference between the snapshot make speed and the interface max speed. I do have both interfaces of the router in netflow. I am curious as to why there is such a difference, 29 meg compared to 23 meg on the interface last hour. tk
OpManager_7_wont uninstall
On Windows server 2003 sp2 When running "ManageEngine_OpManager_7_windows.exe" the install sheild wizard says "this will uninstall opmanager 7 do you want to continue?" After clicking yes the installshield wizard results in customer feedback page. Then select finish and nothing happens ....cant uninstall cant re-install. Why are all uninstall posts pulled from the forum? I see other members needing to uninstall have been directed to uninstall exe's links which are no longer valid

Scanning Cisco devices into CMDB on SD+
Anyone know how resolve errors when attempting to scan Cisco devices into SD+? I have: Cisco 1841 routers Cisco 3750 PoE switches Cisco 2800 series VGW Cisco 2950 switches Cisco 1861 routers I have enabled SNMP on one router and set SD+ to scan via the router's IP address however; I receive RPC error messages. On a domain scan, the ip adresses for my Cisco devices appear in the Assets list but all with errors. Assistance on this would be appreciated together with sample configs or tips and tricks.

Web interface becoming less and less responsive
I have searched the knowledgebase and read several posts concerning this issue but did not find a resolution. We are using SD+ 6.0.0 Build 6010 on Server 2003 Standard and have noticed the response time for the web interface getting slower and slower. We now have to reboot almost every other day because it is so slow.
