Oracle Web App Monitoring

I am trying to use App Manager to monitor Oracle 10g web appliacations and can't seem to get it working properly. I used the Recorder to build the URL sequences but only the initial sign-on page of the Oracle 10g web app was okay where as the rest of the other web pages were not.

The Oracle 10g web app has 2 servers, 1 for serving content (mid-tier portal) and 1 for single sign-on (infrastructure sso). The first page is authentication sign-on page on the sso server and once authenticated, the mid-tier server takes over serving contents.

After URL sequence built (3 URLs, 1 sso and 2 contents), the URL2 and URL3 have error stating:

"The request requires user authentication. The response MUST include a WWW-Authenticate header field (section 14.47) containing a challenge applicable to the requested resource. The client MAY repeat the request with a suitable Authorization header fi"

Subsequence retries generated error:

"Authentication failed.Invalid Username/Password"

which I assume the App Manager is going straight to the mid-tier server to request content which could not get authenticated even after I put in the proper User Name and Password in the Basic Authentication prompts.

This problem is holding me up from purchasing App Manager.

Any help you can provide will be greately appreciated.
