Citrix and Authentication
Hi We have configured SD to have pass through AD authentication. When a user launches IE on their desktop and accesses SD this works fine. However, when they follow the link in an email confirming them of their request they are challenged and required to enter their credentials. The only difference between the two is that the user would be accessing their Outlook client via Citrix and would be running a local instance of IE. Can anyone suggest why this might be the case?
ssl gateway issue
Hi, we have recently updated to the latest version of SDP. We are receiving an exception error when a user clicks on create new request link. the error is "Exception occurred when executing post invoke script SDP_CreateHTMLArea('HTMLDesc') Msg: 'HTMLArea' is undefined" Can you please provide some guidence as to what I should be looking for to resolve this issue ? Reset Password options
I wanted to see if there is a way to limit the options for resetting user passwords. By this I mean when the HelpDesk tech logs in to reset a user's password they have the ability to do the following for the password: 1) Generate password 2) Type a password 3) Same as user logon name 4) Leave password blank We want to limit this to only generated passwords. How do we accomplish this? Also if we can and do accomplish this is it a system wide change or can it be designated to specific roles or something?
NTFS
Would like to search Network Shares for user/group whose name is listed in NTFS security. Not looking for permissions. Just if name is applied to a share so I can verify which shares an individual or group has some sort of access. This will help determine two things If there is a user defined to a share but not part of a group & what groups are defined to each share. Paul Knapp
Admin User locked out of Password Manager Pro
Hi, we currently have Password Manager Pro running with a locked out Admin user. ...ie. password lost ! We have the ability to login as a lesser user to retrieve passwords, but are unable to login as Admin. Is there an "Admin password Reset" procedure which I can follow? To add to my pain, the SMTP config doesn't seem to be working, so I cannot retrieve through the "Forgotten Password" feature. Any help would be appreciated.
Russian localization problems
Hello, We are looking for system for our technical support dep. Your's is one of the best we tested. But there are some problems with Russian localization. Mail server settings English localization - everything is Ok (admin_mail_outgoing_eng.jpg) Russian loc. - unable to open Outgoing and Spam Filter tabs (admin_mail_outgoing_rus.jpg) 2. Autogenerate Passwords
I was wondering if there is a way to setup the PasswordManager to Autogenerate Passwords so when someone requests a certain password no one knows it accept the person requesting it. And as soon as that person uses that password the PasswordManager automatically changes it. Thanks Craig

SNMPTrap sent from object/devices not registered
I'm sure that if devices IP is not added to OpManager any snmptrap receives will not appear under alarm tab. But is there a way for us to check if this is happening? Might be inside the log files? I need to know IP address sending trap to OpManager but is not registered as monitored devices.

OpManager 7 Traffic graphs show NA
HI, I have been trialing OpManager 7 for a few weeks and I have been very impressed up untill the today. All of my traffic graphs are showing NA when I look the snapshot (Router Infrastructure Snapshot) If I drill down into the grap by selecting the interface I can see the traffic (so the graph is still woking). Please see attached picture

How does Applications Manager calc CPU util on HP-UX?
Hi, I'm currently evaluating Applications Manager and I am really impressed. Would like to know how the CPU utilization is calculated for HP-UX server monitoring. I saw a post referring to the Linux calculation and was wondering if it was the same? Also how does Applications Manager calculate the utilization for HP-UX servers with multiple CPUs? Many thanks! SAP R/3 monitoring issue
Hi, Just install Applications Manager today to try the SAP monitoring feature. I had no problem to create the monitor, but I can't get any parameters appearing. The monitor is constantly down with error: Availability of edw-ncx-sap.nicox.com_SAP_00 - Resource is down. I follow the prerequisites (SAP Java connector, etc...) Hello, while setting up the production environment I have encountered this problem: I wanted to install a fresh copy and so I uninstalled SDP with SP 7020 applied. I noticed, that after finishing the unstall-process some directories were left. I tried to delete them, but I got an error, telling me, that the "path / filename is too long". This directory "E:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\Patch" wasnt deleted. I had to shorten some directory names and then the structure was successfully deleted. Using this
Cannot Associate a user to a monitor
In the last build 7019 I was able to link a user with the monitor, and also associate the workstation with the screen using Connection Relationship, and link the user to the monitor using Usage Relationship. But after the update I could not do that anymore, there is no Relationship under the components assets, however it used to be before in 7019.. I need that urgently .

session time - report default days
Hello, 1. i need the connection / Session Expiry Time set to NEVER, because i have about 40 DCs to discover and that needs a long time. 2. The default days for reporting inactive object set to 60 days. When i change from 30 to 60 it allways runs a full AD discover! Why it is not possible to to run a report without that refresh? Check-box + Close button = not closed
Hi. When on the 'Requests' tab, it seems like I'm supposed to be able to check the check box to the left of an open case, and click the 'Close' button up near the top of the window to close that case. However, when I do this (even though I comply with the little "Close Authorized" pop-up), it never closes the case....status remains 'Open'. Of course, when I go in to close a case from within the case it self, it closes just fine; just not from the list. How does this work for others? steven

Picking one row in a SNMP table
Hi everyone Ive setup a custom SNMP monitor but having problems returning exactly what i want. The OID returns two columns: a process name, and a value for that process. The rows are lots of different processes. I however only want one particular process. If i do a table view from MIB browser i can see the row i want but when i set up the monitor i dont know how to specify a particular row from the table so it just returns them all. Please help! Cisco Pix Interface not added
I recently upgraded to build 7202. I have two PIX firewalls and when I go to monitor either one Opmanager does not show my internal interface. When I try to rediscover the interfaces it properly identifies the interface but when I try to add them they do not show up.

How do I add MSSQL monitoring for different databases? I purchased Premium Edition Single Installation for 50 devices, so I would think I should be able to monitor databases & Active Directory, I just cannot figure out how to enable the monitoring.
