Requests have disappeared after importing requesters from Active Directory
After removing a few duplicate requester and running the AD import one of the users no longer can see any of his past or current request. They are still there but apparently not connected to his account. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks
Asset name vs. Resource Name
Under "Asset"s and then "Non-IT Assets" we've created a "Hand held devices" category. The summary screen shows "Asset Name" but when you click into an item it shows "Resource Name". Is there a way to reconcile so both screen use the same language? Also, when we imported our assets, one of our fields was "Owners" which we mapped to Assigned User. Unfortunately, it created all the people as new Requestors in the system even though the names matched what was already entered into our system. So all

JMX Monitor: number of chars allowed in the Value field of an attribute

Error Upgrading from 7022 to 7500
When i try to upgrade to Version 7500 I get the following error in my updatemgrlog0.txt file (also uploaded the file). "Problem during installation of patch java.sql.SQLException: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'GlobalConfig_PK'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.GlobalConfig'." I have tried it multiple times a receive the same message. I am using MSSQL
OpManager variable for IP Address

Number of polls before device down alarm
Hi all. We performed some tests aout how node down (device down) alarms are generate in OpManager 8. Technology is Cisco (the most standard one). We unplugged a managed Cisco router (2800) from network. We found out that (having a 5 minute poll configured for router), after several minutes (much more than 15) we did not have any alarm generated. Anyone experienced such behaviour? Anyone knows how many polls are done before setting up a router as down? Appreciated any help, 'cause it's a urgent matter.
Send Notification to Group/Technician when Request Closed
There is a setting to notify select technicians when a request is closed. How can we send a notification to the currently assigned group members (or currently assigned technician) when a request is closed?

I'm sure you have heard quite a bit from your user base but I am wondering given the free availability of VMware ESXi are you looking into utilizing their VI API in order to manage VMware servers more indepthly? Issues with Version 8
First off I can't say enough about how well the previous version have worked. Today I upgrade to V 8 and upgraded the Myssql as the instructions state. The upgrades both say they upgraded with no issues however when I try to go into the web the interface I get the following error Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server. So I followed those instructions and did the repair (several times actually) and have stopped the services
report limitation
Hello all, I am evaluating ADAudit Plus and I was wondering if there was any limitation to the demo version. I can only see changes to my AD from a few months back. For example if I want to see the list of new user for the past year I can only see the new users that have been created in the last month and a half. thanks for the help

spanish characters not displaying
I have OPmanager 8006 in spanish and cannot display some characters even in the home page of the aplication it shows "Contrase�a" instead of spanish word of password "contraseña".
Cisco Privilege Levels
Is there a way to setup a credential profile that uses a Cisco privilege level other than 15 for enable. In other words, is there a way to set the enable command to "enable 10", instead of just "enable" (which defaults to 15, the highest level). Site to Site Traffic not captured in reports
Hello, We are currently evaluating NFA. NFA 5 does not seem to be catching my site to site VPN traffic statistics. We have a PIX 506 6.3.5 setup per your documentation. I can see the traffic register when traveling outside the tunnel, but very very little is actually logged flowing through the tunnnel. Any suggestions?
History of Custom Attributes from JMX
I am tracking some custom attributes from my JBoss monitor. When I view the JBoss monitor page I see the current values of the attributes in a table and then below that I see what appears to the graphs of the last 6 hours of the attribute values. 1) How can I view a longer history of the attribute values? 2) How far back is this data retained? What impact does Netflow data have on a heavily utilised link
Hi, I have a link that is heavily utilised and I want to find out which applications are generating most traffic. However I am concerned that if I start exporting Netflow data then this will make the link worse. Are there any stats as to how much bandwidth Netflow data consumes on a WAN link? Thanks

Unable to use Remote Desktop link
Everything seems to be working fine in the Demo version I have a few clients systems that I am monitoring, everything looks great, BUT, the remote desktop option just gives me "error on page" when I try and use it. I am using IE7, with all default settings, on an XP Pro machine SP2. Also, is there any 3rd party Remote software/install that can be used with OpManager, as it would be handy to be able to click on and remote to share the users screen and not log them out.

Unable to Open the MySQL Port
Hi there, I was trying to install Service Desk Plus on RHEL 5 . After installing and configuring it and when i started it its gives me an error "Unable to start MySQL Server on port 3306 . Email is not being fetched
Hello, Unknown to me for about a week, none of the emails going to our support address are being fetched by SD+. I am not 100% sure but it seems to have coincided with a SP1 install on our Exchange 2007 box. This SP1 install failed and caused some grief but was rectified. Service Pack update
Hello all, I was in the process of updating my software and ran into an issue on the last service pack, AdventNet_ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_7_0_0_SP-3_0_0.ppm. It errored out and supposedly rolled back but now I can't get SD+ to run. The service tries to start but fails loading the server modules. Has anyone faced this before and if so is there a solution? Monitor URL on Non-default port
Hi I've had some problems setting up URL monitors in OpManager. I've got to the situation where I'm fairly certain external websites are monitored successfully, and most of our internal sites are monitored correctly also. However a handful of our internal sites are producing errors when I try to monitor them (The URL http://........ is down, Reason : Host Unavailable). Every one of these sites that produces the error seems to be running on a non-default port, and the site that is running on the

I am seeing what looks to be an SNMP issue. The usage on ports that are doing more than 120Mbps shows as 356K which tells me that the counters are rolling over. Is there a way to tell is this is using 64bit counters?
