Upgrading from jre 6.16 to jre 6.17 with Desktop Central build 70010
When I shedule a software install (.exe) with the recommended arguments to upgrade to jre6.17 it conticuously says that it cannot find the install file and to check its location. I have opened up the network share competley to everyone so I don't think permissions are the issue. I can actually run a software install configuration with the jre (.msi) package and it finds it within the same network share I have the .exe. However it fails with a "fatal error during installation".
Java update on Windows 7
When trying to update to JRE 6.17 on windows 7 the log shows "1619 , Error Message : This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." The same exact configuration works fine on an XP machine. Is there something that needs to be done to the configuration for Windows 7? Thanks Kane
Automation of inventory reports
Hi there, Is there any way of being able to automatically schedule the "Computer Detail" inventory reports, so that the pdf can be exported to a specified directory on a specific date? I can't seem to find anything that would enable this in Desktop Central. It's rather tedious having to go to each server, view the inventory details, and then export the pdf to a directory all manually. Currently this is a bi-monthly job for myself, which i have to do for 47 servers each time. Cheers, Ash.

Changing the color assigned to a support rep
Is it possible to change the colors assigned to support reps? For example, when I look under the schedule tab any unsaved time entered is shown. This is useful except that the color assigned to me is bright yellow. This makes it nearly impossible to read the white text on top of the yellow field. I'd like to change the color rather than go and add another user in the hopes I'll get something more legible.
Can the standalone workstation scan script collect UDF data also?
If we know how to collect more data using the standalone audit VBScript, would the import routine be able to import the data into UDF fields such as UDF_CHAR1, etc? If so, how would we format the data? Dave
Notification for Closing Task in Change/Problem
When a Task is created in a Problem/Change, there is e-mail noticing the technician but when the task is closed, there is no e-mail informing the task's initiator. Is there any options to fix that?

Application Monitor Thresholds and Notification Profiles
I can't see how to have an email sent to me when one of the application monitor thresholds (AD, MSSQL, MS EX) is violated. If I click on Rules in the Notification Profile tab of one of these server types I can only choose to be alerted when one of the monitors goes down and not when one of the thresholds is violated.

Granular Rights for Requesters
It sure would be nice to have the option to give standard requesters more granular rights--in particular: 1. Changes - Give them the ability to view their own change requests. We sometimes create change requests on behalf of end users that are responsible for various programs/systems, but they are not considered technicians. Giving them the ability to view their own change requests would be very helpful.
Newly added Asset state cannot allocate to a person or department
We have just upgraded to 7600 and noticed that the Asset state we have created cannot allocate to a person or department. The old-built 7509 allowed us to do so. The new asset state allows to track the notebooks that been allocated for home use and now it will only display home use only.
Opmanager doesn't start
We're running Opmanger ver 8 on Windonws 2003 SP2, using SQL on another server. Recently after returning from vacation I found that the Opmanager service stops when I try to log on. If I start the service and try to log in it stops again. I tried to start the service with startopmanagerserver.bat, but that also failed. I heard from our SQL admin that during my absence there was an issue with the accounting DB and it had to be restored. Apparently nothing was done to the Opmgr database. Attached
AS400 collect logs problem
Hi, I'm trying to receive logs from AS400 server to ELA. I must use the european date format dd/MM/yy. This seen be a problem because I receive only a part of logs every day. We upgraded to 7.6, since we having the following issues; Single Sign-on is no longer working Clicking on > Assets then > Software > Software Licenses we only see "<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing" Our open requests are not accessible These are the issues we've found so far in day 1.

Connecting AD after using a csv for userimport
I am wondering if it is possible to connect AD for authentication when initially a .csv import (AD was the source) has been used for the user accounts in SDP. I am now in the situation that new users are created in our AD which were not imported initially, so I have to manually create them, which is a no option for me. Problems Displaying a SubInterface in NFA
I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this issue but one of several 2821 routers I have doing NF exports, doesn't display one and only one, of the subinterfaces via NFA. The sub is up and up and I don't have this issue on any other 2821s but this particular router is picking up 4 interfaces not 5. It is not an issue of the sub being unmanaged, it simply doesn't display and i have no idea why. I'm running IOS 12.4(23) on this router. Thanks, Ron
** Fixed issue returns - blank lines appearing in requests
Hi Support, The request ID 6258 was logged with you some time ago in relation to this issue and it was resolved, it seems to have returned. It seems that the problem we were having with giving us two blank lines for every HTML based email once return has been pressed, and inserts random extra spaces within the text. Loging user login of administrator
Has anyone had any succes or tips for logging when the administrator logs in. I have an event that logs security event 538 and security event 540. Its really just to see if anyone is logging in as administrator. (some have the password but are not suppose to use it unless emergency.) However I get logins events being emailed to me via the eventlog software that Im sure are not users logging in. The trouble is that some processes that run show up as administrator logins. It seems almost impossible

I'm trying to sort out our software licensing in service desk but its proving rather frustrating. For starters, to associate minor versions, the software has to be managed, but for example adobe reader, is freeware so i want to put it under the freeware category and associate all the minor versions but i cant. Hi, to help with my new implementation of SD+ and the import of assets against the correct requestors, can someone give me a query report that lists all requestors and their basic information, eg, name, email, departement and site? Is there, on this site or elsewhere, a repository of useful query reports? Very few of the queries that I find on these forums actually run on my installation. scheduled tasks with preventive/planned maintenance V 7.5
Hi all, i´m using preventive maintenance to create scheduled tasks. I created a daily task which opened a daily request at 0800 am - but only for a week :-( Now all i can do is manually run the maintenance to have my request opened. - I checked there is no unclosed request created by the task - I tried to reactivate the task by editing+saving - didn´t work. - I changed it from daily to weekly (working days) but still - no new request at 8:00 am. I would appreciate any other ideas to make my task

Install clients to users connectged with VPN client
I have a large number of users that connect exclusively using our VPN client and connect to our VPN concentrator. They are assigned an IP address (ex. 192.168.9.x). I have tried pushing the agent to them when I know their systems are connected to the VPN but it fails and I have also setup a Configuration using their username so that when they connect ot the VPN it would install. Neither one works.
