Directing a user to a "New incident" page automatically on login
Hi All, We are currently trying to achieve 2 things: 1. We have enabled pass-through authentication for all users. However, we would like "requesters" to go directly go to a "New Incident" page, instead of the "Home" page. If the requester so wishes, s/he can subsequently go to the "Home" page to see the status of other requests s/he may have made. 2. Constant mail fetching stopping
I am experiencing e-mail fetching stopping all the time. I have tried a series of things to start it again. I was told to go into the e-mail account delete the top e-mail and the rest should come through but it seems that every e-mail after that stops the fetching and i is taking a long time to get them all through the mail filter... Dear, I am using OpManager to receive SNMP Traps from Cisco/Starent GGSNs. The problem is following. When I receive SNMP trap in OpManager then I've got wrong text which doesn't match to received OID. SQL Monitor works on some but not others
I have two SQL servers. The one that works with SQL monitor is a Windows 2003 32bit and SQL 2005. I get the General Sever Details, SQL server details and database details and looks perfect. Losing monitors (licensing issues?)
Hello, We seem to lose the ability to monitor some things, just in the middle of doing nothing. The monitors still run, but you can't see them graphically anywhere (and not add them either) If we go to Admin/License administration and reapply the license the monitors come back. Hi, Can I have a query to run in the report module or in MSSQL2005 to show all requesters who have no request history in live or archived requests? Two separate queries if necessary. Opmanager 8.3 SSL
How do we import and existing SSL certificate for use in Opmanager 8.3? I went through the whole process of creating a jks keystore and importing an existing private key and cert and matched the alias and password with keytool but either opmanager crashes on startup, or it hangs on verifying web connection constantly while polling takes place. It shows port 443 open which I had previously change it to but it wont answer web requests.
Cisco Callmanager MIBs- how do I load these?
I have Callmanager 7, which runs on a linux box, so Opmanager only gets the most basic stats. There's a page on Cisco's site, http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseMIB.do?local=en&step=2&submitClicked=true&mibName=CISCO-CCM-MIB#dependencies, that contains .my files and .oid files, but also a bunch of other stuff they say are pre-requisites that must be compiled. What exactly do I need to install into Opmanager so I can get more detailed alerts from the Callmanager server?
Custom Report - Assets by User with Cost

API - Updating Requests
Using the API I can create a request using VBScript using the AddRequest operation. Am I correct in understanding that the UpdateRequest operation acts like a page edit on the request and changes values, descriptions etc? If so is there anyway using the API to add conversations to the request, emulating the e-mail process? SDP - Service Catalog Resource Details in email notification
Hi, I've discovered that there is no way to add resource details to the email notification sent to requester/technician when a new service request from service catalog is created. duplicate requestid's being generated since upgrade
we upgraded to 8008 from 8005 yesterday, and our technicians have noticed this morning they are receiving email notifications for new tickets that don't appear in the request queue, and upon further examination the new tickets are referring to old requestid's in a perhaps related problem, responses to emails generated by the system are not being appended to their tickets either I can only assume there is a sequence problem here, but searches on the forums produced the fix of creating a dummy ticket
All My Events Were Gone...Solution!
Yesterday I noticed that all my events suddenly disappeared from my Network Overview Dashboard. No coaxing I could see could bring the data back to the Event Summary Widget. So, I had to create a NEW business view and associate all my Network Overview Dashboard widgets to the new business view. Suddenly, I had all my events again. Very Strange. Thought I would post this just in case someone runs into this again with OpManager 8 (free ed). Thanks, Tom
App manager Perf Counters / copy & paste
So, I have several servers I need to use perf counters for. I created the base items I required in a perf counter monitor, and then selected it, and choose the copy & paste monitor option from the dropdown. After the monitor was created, and I pulled it up, there was not perfdata displayed. I did notice, however, the monitor was created and added a '\' before and after the Instance name of the perf data I was trying to view. Is there a way to get rid of the '"\" item, or something I am doing

I installed ServiceDesk on my server, but i would like to migrate database for server which is installed on the same machine. I succeed restore database then I used script changeDBserver.sh. If i would like to run script run.sh i got error Unable to start MySQL server on port 3306. Please free the port. Can I start application without start the mysql server?
What is E-mail ID(s) To Notify?
In 8.0, I have noticed a E-mail ID(s) To Notify field. Would you explain how this works as I cannot seem to find any documentation on it. Is this a new feature? I do not have it in my production version of 7605 although I found an old post that refers to the field. This suggests it is an existing feature. I noticed in that post there was an icon next to the field that I would imagine pops up an email list to choose from. I do not have this icon in 8.0.

URL Sequence monitoring does not support capturing javascript text
Our website application utilizes javascript extensively to return back messages from the backoffice application. THese Javascripts are displayed on the screen, however Appmanager does not recognize these texts, and cannot alert if the standard text response changes. THis would be a great feature to have.

Hi Experts, I have run many different reports but I am not getting the exact report I am looking for. I have generated a report which gives me a Line Chart by monthly and the counts of Closed, Open, & Resolved, but I want the total inbounds ticket graph like it shows on the main page on the right side.
Has anyone used PMP with managing SAP and/or Lotus Notes passwords?
