Category Permissions
I was wondering is there any way permissions can be set on request and solution categories, if not could this be a future feature? We want to be able to move old requests(eg. from last year) to a separate category and do not want requesters to be able to see them. We also have a technician in a different department that uses service desk who needs to enter their own solutions and view, edit, etc, but we do not want them to see our solutions as their maybe information we do not want them to see.
Custom Fields
I think SDP needs some more Customesfields for templates. 1. Checkboxes / Radiobuttons So Requestes can check someoptions and with businessrules the correct group get the requests. 2. Cascading Textboxes Like the cathegory/subcathegory/element field , there should be a possibility to create such cascades in the templates, it would make things much easier.
Remote control addon for Firefox 6 seems corrupt
I'm using Firefox 6 on Windows 7 x86 SP1. I'm trying to connect to a workstation using remote control. When I'm prompted to install the addon, Firefox prompts me and says the addon is corrupt. Is the addon not supported in Firefox 6 yet? Thanks!
Current state of Opmanager and ServiceDesk+ coexistence
Hello, I'm looking to get the final word on running both on the same server. If it is supported and an implementation guide if there is one for that config. We currently run both as VMs but would like to consolidate them into one if possible.
Memory Utilization by java.exe
After i would say a week of uptime i notice that i am not getting on the home page any type of "Servers with high CPU..." or Routers with high Memory ..." and at the same time i no longer seem to get any notifications of faults. During this time i also get no reporting on interface utilization ect... I then remote into the server and notice that java.exe is using over 1GB of ram. The processor seems fine but memory only has around 50MB free. This is obviously the problem but i am unsure if java.exe

How can ServiceDesk Plus be setup to use an HTTPS logon page, and have a certificate associated with this page?
Reply's to a Request
Hi, When replying to a request using service desk the original email isn't included. When you choose to forward a request it includes the message. Is it possible to turn on including the original message in reply's ? I cant see an option for this anywhere, Thanks Matt
Drop down menu issue
After upgrading SD+ to the latest build (from 8012 to 8015), the New Request and Service Catalog drop down menus do not work correctly. See the attached image.
Service Desk Plus Configuring Mail Server Settings
We have just purchased Service Desk, we would like to configure emails sent to helpdesk to be automatically transfred to an incident/problem... does it support Microsoft Exchange Server... ie when setting up configuring mail server settings? it appears that it has only two options pop and imap. Any ideas please?
Inactive Sub categories are showing

Printers marker life count report

Exchange Reporter Plus 4.1 problem with mailbox permission report
My Environment: Exchange 2010 with management shell installed. Problem: When try to generate mailbox permission report -> Error : Please ensure management shell is installed in the machine,where product is installed. But after go to Reports tab -> Mailbox Permissions -> Permission Based on Mailboxes or Users. It's recommend to install Exchange Management Shell (EMS) that link belong to EMS of 2007... do i need to install EMS 2007 to Exchange 2010 ??? if not , how to solve this problem? BRGS,

Add additional domain controller (Password Manager & Desktop Central)
Can we have the option to add additional domain controllers for the domain. I am testing upgrading using a cloned copy of the server in an isolated enviroment; whilst this server is a DC it isn't the named one. As a result you cannot login to either product as they cannot contact the named DC. Update - ServiceDesk Plus already has the option to add an additional domain controller.
Device Expert Error on Server Settings Page
When clicking on "Server Settings" in the administration area of device expert, a window briefly pops up saying NTLM authentication failed, redirecting to login page. This began after I changed my server IP on version 5560. Upgrading to 5570 did not fix it. Any ideas? Is there a process for changing the server IP that I should have done? Thanks, Jerry
Suggestions for automatic patch management
Firstly, thanks to the DC team for the effort they have put into adding features into the product this year. Really good job! I have a suggestion that relates to the automatic patch process. I use DC to manage a number of laptops that are always on the move. This means that they are often never connected to the network when the auto-patch task is scheduled to run which means that the laptops take forever to be patched. What I think would be great is functionally that allows for auto-patch tasks
DC Log file format
Is it possible to create log files in a format that can be viewed with f.ex trace32 instead of i plain txt-format? I find the standard txt-file logs to be quite hard to view in notepad/wordpad as opposed to f.ex SCCM-log files that is easily viewed in trace32. Hello, Is there a way of changing the change stage names Requested, Completed and Rejected? I don't find them in the ApplicationResources file (i18n) and if i change them directly in the database, the change forms doesn't appear (shows a blank page). Adding additional domain controllers to credentials
Can we please have the option to add additional domain controllers when using "Edit Credentials" to modify a domain. The reason for this is I am testing upgrading the software to the latest version by cloning the live server into a test VMWare environment. The server is a domain controller, however is not the one specified in the "Edit Credentials". Because the network is disabled on this test machine I discovered you cannot login as the machine cannot contact the named DC to authenticate the user.
SDP - A user with full access to Assets can't add a new product - the link to add new product is hidden.

I'm curious how many of you actually use the Purchasing Module in SDP. When it comes to helpdesk tickets I'm comfortable with making SDP work. But purchasing...is something new for me. Software Metering rules
I have created asoftware metering rule and enabled it. When I go to the reports, inventory reports, Application metering rules summary report it does not show anything and says there are no rules added. Is there any possible way to do some automatic actions on produced alerts in NetFlow Analyzer? Need some way to make automatic actions on alerts, to send device simple command when alert produced. Software in the Inventory tab is missing!
After scanning several PC's, I had a list of 200 apps/software/drivers that were unidentified. I began by selecting the first 25, and moving their licence type from unidentifed to commercial. This than moved the software into the new category. But as soon as this was completed, I lost access to all the other software. When I look at the computer view within the inventory tab, I can see all the software listed. I can filter it by either commercial or unidentified successfully. But if I click

Total number of files in a particular directory
Hello, I would like to add a monitor for the total number of files in a directory on windows 2003 server. With "File/Directory Monitor" monitor it is possible to monitor the total size of a directory but I need the total number of files. Problem assigning a task to a specific group
Hi team, We are having issues assigning specific tasks to a specific group created or added to a request. It only shows the group the requester belongs to. The screenshot is below. We tried creating or customizing a task template specifically created for a given task to that's already pre-assigned to a group but when we chose the template from the drop down, the group that was pre-assigned dissappears.
