I have created a template for bulk user creation. I want to prevent inheritance of parent folder to the User Terminal Server Home folder. My Template settings are: Home folder - Connect Z: - \\server1\TSHome\%UserName% Permission: Allow %username% - full Allow Administrator - full Allow Well-Known...-System - full The checkbox "Inherit from parent ..." is off Result: The folder \\server1\TsHome\JohnDoe also contain ACL from the parent folder in addition to %username%,Administrator and SYSTEM. If I have help desk person who is not a Domain Admin and I allow them to reset passwords, will they be able to reset the passwords of all users less than or equal to his access level? Or will they also be able to reset domain admin passwords as well? How exactly does that work? Thanks in advance.

WAN RTT Timers and Cisco ASR 9000
I am trying to figure out how to set up IPSLA WAN RTTs on the Cisco ASR 9000 platform using Opmanager. It seems that Opmanger is not sending the right command to the device after the creation of the SLA. On other IOS devices such as a cisco 7206 I have no issues setting up and publishing the SLA. Problem starting server after apply patch
Dear Support, I have apply patch from ServiceDesk Plus 8.0.2.7 to 8.1, Got the error fail to install the patch and then cannot start up services. Try to type run.bat in command prompt and get this error: unclean shutdown with previous run. Would you please advise any solution for it? Thanks. Jason

I just recently upgraded to 4 helpdesk technician licenses. I continue to get an error when I attempt to delegate a security role to a user. here is the error I am getting: User has no permission Error code 80070005 I have searched the knowledge base with no success. Exchange 2007 mailbox creation issue
We have just discovered an issue with the creation of our Exchange 2007 mailboxes using the ADManager tool. What is happening is when an account gets created through AD Manager the account free/busy information is not available. The only we have found to resolve this is if we disconnect the mailbox then reconnect the mailbox then everything works. I am trying to use the create user import option to create accounts. So far most things are working fine except for Manager and a secondary email address. Here is what I am using for Manager: "CN=Norris,CN=Jackie,OU=Hospital,OU=Departments,OU=Executive Staff,OU=Managers,DC=fgh,DC=com" What do I have wrong? If I use this the whole user fails. And for secondary address I have the header "proxyAddress" along with SMTP:xxxx@fghi.com. This does not populate at all.
Changed passwords now problems
We used a third party application to reset many passwords in one swoop within active directory (ADManager). The next business day, many users were reporting locked accounts and needed to physically cut the power to their machines (a full reboot) to log back into thier machines. Moving to new server with agents installed on assets
We want to move to a new server and understand how to do that. We have agents installed on our PC's now and in the registry of the PC's, it has the ServerIP and ServerName hard coded as the original server. Should we uninstall all agents prior to moving to a new server and then reinstall from the new server or is there a more automated way to get the agents to update and point to the new server installation? This will be both a change of server and database server.

To what extent are attached hardware devices scanned and included with the workstation?
We are using SDP 8.1 We have several workstations with high-speed scanners attached. I noticed these scanners do not show up under the asset. To what extent does the agent or SDP scan for hardware? I noticed it included flash drives, keyboards, mice, and printers, but it doesn't seem to include scanners. Thanks!

Auto Enrollment CSV - still not getting it.
I keep getting the error - "Selected CSV file' header is not consistent with this import option." Error while updating from 80022 to 80025
Got a java error while trying to update. Restarted and tried to update to 80025 again with no luck. Get the following error in server.lock #Thu May 24 15:41:12 PDT 2012 buildnumber-db=80022 buildnumber-conf=80025 error-message=File system incompatible with DB. Might occur in case Deskop Central installation is overwritten by another incompatible version ? So what did I do wrong? Thanks Charles
