Powershell: How to attach a file
I have a problem. I want to use the API to attach a file to an request. The problem is that I can only find examples how this is done with C# or Java. But I specifily need to do it with powershell. Is this even possible? I want to to be done when the request is created. But a second API request that attach a file to an existing request is fine too.

Category and Group
We just updated ServiceDesk Plus to version 9.2 build 9225. Since we did the upgrade all of our templates have shown two Category and two Group fields. Before the upgrade there was only one of each. The default templates all have only one category and one group fields but it still goes back to the two when a ticket is trying to be created.

I want to be able to add a parent group, and have multiple sub groups attached for the purpose of auto password changing. I reviewed the PMP help document on resource groups, and it says it is possible, I am not finding the option. Has it been removed? I am using version 8.4.0 build 8401.

Hi, We have a Preventive Maintenance task that runs Mon-Fri. When we have bank holidays the ticket is not breached for the SLA, but still sits there for us to action. Is there any way to create a rule that says , if a request meeting a certain criteria on a certain day , then it is closed ? HTML5 instead of Adobe Flash
I'm curious if Manage Engine would give some thought to moving away from the use of Adobe's Flash platform and consider using HTML5 instead. Flash seems to have more security incidents by the day and I continue to look for ways to minimize my company's exposure to it. Not to mention we would like to be able to view SDP on hardware that will never, ever support Flash.

Linux HA Setup Problem
Build 8404 I have the HA configuration on a new secondary server, per documentation, and have also corrected permission errors on the directories after the hapack install. column re-ordering in personal passwords on 8502 (and some previous versions)
Has anyone else seen the columns re-ordered in their personal passwords in PMP? I have one category defined with two masked fileds and after upgrading from 8501 to 8502, the two fields have been swapped. Before the ugprade it was: Service Name Service URL Hidden1 Hidden2 Tags and after the upgrade, the columns were ordered like this: Service Name Service URL Hidden2 Hidden1 Tags I've had this occur before, and it doesn't happen every upgrade.

I am trying to add a custom monitor for querying our Check Point VSX firewalls. I already have devices added via SNMPv3 and getting interface statistics, however, I am looking for more specific Check Point data. LDAP integration Need to Disable Password Resets
We've integrated LDAP with Service Desk MSP and using FreeIPA to manage our accounts. The "Change Password" link under "Personalize" doesn't integrate back into LDAP/FreeIPA to actually change a user's password. Is there a way to disable the "Change Password" option so it isn't available? Also the "Forgot Password" link on the login page doesn't actually change the password for the user in LDAP/FreeIPA so we'd like to disable that link as well. How to pass login details to Manageengine from a Portal
Hi, We have a new web portal we are using for our external customers to access various applications that we provide them. One of the applications I want them to access is Manageengine to allow them log a ticket, view etc etc. The user will be logging into this portal, is there any way we can have them pass these login details through to Manageengine without the need for them to re-login again? How can you POST a user ID/password to Service Desk+ login page
Currently we have a CMS based website that our users log into with a user name and password stored in the cms DB not in AD/LDAP. I can get my Db admin to export the users and password and do a import into SD+ but i wanted to know if anyone knew or tried to post login info to the logon page to make like a "pass through authentication"... Custom groups using custom data
I would like to be able to create custom groups using the custom data fields. Is this possible? For example, I add location information and would like to create a custom group based on that location. I don't see how to do this. We are on version 90029 but planning on updating soon. If it's not in our current version is it in the new version? Thanks! Amanda
Report AM/PM Incorrect
Reports that are generated have the incorrect AM/PM ... the date is correct however the AM/PM is reversed. For example if a complaint is generated at 11.20 A.M the time in the report is shown as 11.20 PM and vice versa ... The time however is correct in the request details view.. What could be the problem ?
Why do reports output groups with a space after each
Hi, When we export a report and say, we're looking at the groups someone is in, it provides a list in the CSV but each one has a space after it. This is a slight annoyance as when importing this into Excel you have to remove the space for each. Is this by design ? It's only after the 1st group item, which means you normally get Domain Users,_Group1,_Group2,_Group3 etc.(Where _ represents a space). Any advice or reason for this ? I'd prefer no space myself :-) A
Is there a trigger in the CSV file for Adding or remove Group Memberships
I would like to automate a task to automatically update group memberships. Adding users to groups works fine. Is there a trigger in the csv file that would tell ADManger plus to remove the group instead of add. Is it possible to have both add and remove in the same csv file? Thanks, Ryan Dearman.
Why does updating using a CSV file only show 100 rows?
I am updating multiple users with multiple groups. In my CSV file I have headers for sAMAccountName and memberOf. There are 211 lines in the spreadsheet being updated, but when I run the import this only shows 100 lines. Is this maxing out at 100 or is it updating all of the users? Hi there, I was testing ADManager Plus on a trial basis. I added a custom attribute called "Last Logon Time" using the LDAP attribute "lastLogon" for User reports. I could then select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires Users" Report under Password Reports. Now that I have purchased ADManager Plus, it won't let me create the attribute in my new installation of ADManager Plus. It says the attribute is already in use however I cannot select this attribute in the "Password Never Expires
Email Commands - Generating Email Reply to Customer
Hi, We're rolling out ServiceDesk Plus later this year and one of Remote Technicians prefers to use email instead of the Web Interface. I've tested these Commands today and am much more comfortable with the process; what can be done and how to do it. What I didn't see or know if possible, is if there's a way to email a customer though ServiceDesk via an Email Command. Obviously they could email customer directly then parse Request via Email Commands. Curious if there's a command for "Reply/Send"
Mail Attribute Label of LDAP settings while importing users from AD on Linux
Hello! I'm trying to import users from Active Directory (2012 R2) to Service Desk (9.2 Build 9213) on Linux (Debian 8) using LDAP. That works great with default settings. However, I need to import users' e-mails from field called "wWWHomePage" instead of the default one. So, I change Mail Attribute Label of LDAP settings to wWWHomePage but that does not do the trick, e-mails are still imported from the default field. Could you kindly help to resolve the issue?
