Hi, Currently I have configured to receive alarms from any event with event type 'Error'. How can I filter off (ignore) some of the events by 'EventId' or 'Description' which are from the same event type 'Error'? Rgds.
How can I see what reports I have already scheduled?
I can't seem to find where I can see what reports I have already scheduled in Opmanager. I thought I scheduled two different weekly reports but only one of them seem to run. Where can I find out what reports have been scheduled?
issues changing backend from mysql to ms sql
Hi, I am having problems changng opmanager 6 backend from mysql to ms sql. I am on windows and have installed MS SQL server locally. The error i get when trying to connect is shown in the screen shot. I have checked MS SQL and it seems to be running ok. Any help would be appreciated Regards JC
Memory utilization on Solaris
Hi, I'm running OpManager and i have some Solaris 10 servers. I don't have notice particular problem except OpManager tell me the memory is (always) used at 100%, which is not correct. I don't know how OpManager compute the value, but seem there is a trouble.
Print Server
Hi I have been searching for someone who could help me setting up my Monitors for the Printers. The thing is that I have a Print Server (HP 500x) and when I manually add it to the OPManager (with it's IP) it seems to be added as a printer. Then I don't know how to add the printers connected to the ports of the print server. Please can you explain me how to configure the Print Server on my OPManager. I will really appreciate if you do it step by step... I am kind of new doing this configurations.
speed difference betwen opm and netflow

Switch port collisions
Hello, I have a question concerning switch monitoring. I had +18000 collisions on a FastEthernet interface (0/24) from a Cisco catalyst 2950T. So I cleared the counters on the Cisco switch and checked those counters again a while later. The switch shows me at the moment that there are +-88 collisions on that interface, but OpManager still tells me (a few polls later) that there are +18000 collisions on that interface. [ I'm using the vendor specific monitor > Cisco > Interface collisions ] Is this
monitoring wrong network
Hello, I'm testing opmanager 6.0 evaluation copy and i like it, even though i would want some things different (but one can not have everything he wants ) Our network is pretty extendend with several sites that each have their own network address, but i only want to monitor the x.y.5.0/24 (site A) network. Today there suddenly appears the network x.y.4.0/24 (site B) on the left under "Network views", when i click it i get to see only 1 computer. That computer was in the x.y.5.0/24 network yesterday

I am getting a problem with the Reporting for disk space on OpManager v 6. The following reports are all appearing: No data available. - Volumes with Least Free Space - Volumes with Most Free Space - All Servers Disk Usage Report - All Servers Availability Report I am monitoring Disk Utilization Free Disk Space Memory Utilization Partition Details of the Device (%) Used Disk Space in GB On all the servers but now joy - HELP!!

Custom Monitor not working - Please help
I am having a real problem in getting custom monitor to work. It is appending ".0" to the OID I specify causing a failure.. Below is the OID for "Memory Utilization" on Cisco devices present in the "Resource Monitors" section and it works just fine.. (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1*100)/(.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1+.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.6.1) However, when I setup a custom monitor using on of the above OIDs it fails, very likely becuase of a ".0" appended at the end. e.g a specified OID of ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1"
APC UPS with environmental monitoring card

We there every be the ability to backup the config of a Cisco switch or router. Maybe, have the ability to schedule a backup. If not in opUtils, maybe in the Opmananger product. We currently use both products.
Custom Monintor is changing the specified OID
I am seeing a probelm in OpManager 6.0 when adding a custom monitor for my Dell PowerEdge server. The probelm is when I create a custom monitor using the OID obtained from MIB Browser, OpManager is appending a ".0" to the OID. e.g I am creating a custom monitor "ifOperStatus.65540" to view the operational status of my GigE interface on the poweredge. Mail Notification profile for a URL down
Hi, I am trying to create a meaningful notification message when we have a "URL down" problem. For reasons that would take too much time to explain, I need to use the URL monitor on Device level and not the global URL monitor. the server dont start

Interface Utilisation Not Working :(
I am monitoring a Cisco 2801 Router which is connected to a 2Mbps Leased Line. On other monitoring software I have been trialling, this link speed is reported correctly and therefore the Interface Utilisation is correct. From OpManager the link speed is not reported and therefore my Interface Utilisation is not being shown at all. Any ideas? Thanks.
Exchange 2003 monitoring generates excess network traffic
I have noticed that network traffic between Opmanager server and remote Exchange 2003 servers is about 3-4 Gigabytes a month per server. I find that this is rather disturbing as monitoring almost equals SMTP traffic. Can someone explain what is generating this kind of traffic and if there is anything that can be done to reduce it without losing benefits from this add-on. Thanks

Does the MS SQL capability include using an ODBC connection to an external SQL database? I have so many devices in opmanager now, it's outgrown it's current server. I have a more robust server ready, but this would be a good time, to convert it's database to MS SQL. Can you provide a link to the using an MS SQL dtabase information? Thanks!
MSP help desk ticketing system
I did not know where to post this message, so if there is a better place please let me know. Is there any chance that a help desk ticketing system is under development? I would like my customers to be able to access a web page and open up "work orders / trouble tickets". Feature Request - Central Management of multiple sites or Cu
Hello, I would like to be able to install OpManager at all of my customer sites and have a central server at my office to be able to monitor all of the customers from one management screen. I would envision installing OpManager at a customer site and then have it forward all information to a central server at my office. User rights
Hello, Which rights must the user on the server have for authentication. I don't know how to explain in english, but look at the attached file :) Does he have to be an administrator because the administrator on our servers can monitor all servers/devices in europe/america/japan. That's not the intention; the intention is just to monitor europe. Can we make a normal user @ the servers for monitoring? I hope you guys understand my question... Abstruse
Repair DB
Hi, There are something wrong for my opmanager. So I run the "repairdb.bat" to solve the problem. But I see a lot of error message. "warning: 5 clients is using or hasn't closed the table properly". How to fix it? Sam.
Device Type Settings
The device type setting did not update for the scan so now I need to go through and select each device individually to set the device type to Windows2003 for example.. or is there a bulk update method for this?
Export to PDF from Monitor Detail Screen?
I know that from the Reports screen you can export to PDF but is this possible from the following: Click on the device --> Go to Monitors ----> Click on one of the Resource Monitors This would be useful as the Reports menu dosn't always show the graph and when the graphs are viewed they are always really small on screen. Server outage and total availability
We are having some issues with our purchased copy of OpManager. after adding all of our servers into Opmanager, and setting them up for SNMP, the uptime does not change if I bring a server down. All we get is a web service outage. I currently have 50 servers in OpManager and out of this 50, 10 are experiencing this problem. They were all added, and setup the same. When I go to printout a report, it should show outages for these servers, instead, it shows 100% availability which it shouldn't. Any
Problem with adding device (snmp related)
HI, I've got a strange problem with OpManager version 6 while adding an accesspoint. When I add the device it is not stored into the database. The device was added with the correct IP and SNMP communitystring. The only way to add it now is to add it with the incorrect SNMP communitystring. Within the asset managment area there are workstations and assets. To me workstations are assets. How can we give the workstations the same fields as assets i.e. cost, purchase date and so on.

A couple of notification bugs?
I am using ver 5.6 and have found a few annoying bugs in the alerting. I have a wireless network with a dependecy set for the wireless gateway for all the devices beyond that point. This morning the gateway failed and the dependecy worked just fine on the failure and only notified me of the firsst failure point, all points beyond that that "depend" on the gateway did not email an error.... great so far. Problem removing URL monitor
Hi, I used to have a couple of URL monitors in opmanager with "&" signs in the monitor name. When i deleted the monitors, opmanager told me it successfully removed those monitors, but apparently did not. When i go into the admin panel, url monitors, those monitors still exist. Also the alarms regarding those url monitors can't get wiped, very innoying, i already tried restarting the opmanager service, but no luck either.
