Hello, I recently came across an issue with OpManager 6 where it doesn't appear to handle multiple broswer sessions properly. Here's what happenend: I went into the Notification Profiles page and create a new notification profile. To keep our notification profiles in a standard format I like to view an existing notification profile while I work on the new one. Server with MSSQL application monitoring
I am able to add mssql monitoring to a server, but after it's added the section "Application Monitors" shows "No Application Monitors associated" I have had sql alerts from the server. Is this a bug?
Alarm is trigger but notifications aren't
Hi, I'm testing OpManager MSP and I have a device with 2 notification profiles, one is Log a Ticket and other is Run a System Command. It seams that, after a while, when an alarm is trigger (device is down) the notifications aren't trigger, i.e., no Ticket is created and no System Command runs. But, if I reboot the central machine, everything starts to work again properly. What could be happening? Regards, nmfn
device availability error
opmanager seems to be displaying the availability of one of my switches wrongly. the switch is working fine but in the availability pie graph its recorded as downtime, and the pie graph is red. other switches are recorded correctly. only one is wrong. so how do i correct this? how to turn it back to uptime and green color. thanks.
Monitoring UNC
What is the best way to monitor a UNC (shared folder) in OpManager 6.0 Build 6015? OpManager monitors the server on which the share is hosted but we'd like to monitor the actual share in addtion. Thanks! :D

User Exclusions
Is there a way to limit the tools that a specific user can use? Or is it pretty any person who logs in can use any tool? If that is the case, is there any timeframe on when/if a feature like this would be implemented? Thank you!
OpManager 6 with MSSQL 2005 disconnects
Hi, I've setup OpManager 6 newest version 6016 on MsSQL 2005. I start OpManager with the startopmanagerserver.bat command and everything works just fine. After a short while though, I get the following error: "Connection to the Database is lost. Server is being Shut Down. Please Restart the server." Then I have to run the command again. OpManager is also installed as a service, but even if I set up Windows to restart the service on failures, it doesn't and OpManager stays offline. Any clues? Regards,

SMS (NwoSMS) with MSP doesn�t work
Hi Support, i�m trying to generate alarms and send to my sms gateway, but nothing arrives on the sms gateway. I use MSP and i�ve configured : to email address: 123456789@ip_host_now_sms but not information is registered on smsout.log Althouth this nowsms gateway was working ok with Opmanager "standalone". Installing Probe (MSP OpManager)
Hi everybody! I'm installing the MSP Probe version in my client's server (I already installed the Central server in my Main Office, and I created the Probe file, etc), but when I go to the web page :(https://servername) I've got this error message (see below). I did the installing 2 times, but the same problem. OpManager 7 on ubuntu 6.06, fail to start
Hello, first: does opmanager runs on ubuntu 6.06? I installed and configured, but at start it says: Failed to establish connection with Web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager. I copied the lib from backup but is the same. The script StartWebServer.sh does NOT exists. Any help please? Thanks in advance
Problem with Cisco devices after IOS upgrade
Hello, we've a problem with our cisco switches since we've updated the ios (firmware): after rediscover of an updated device, opmanager didn't find the correct interface (fastethernet/gigabitethernet) I've deleted and readded the devices, but still the same problem. after readd, same problem with the interfaces and in some cases the alarm profiles still exists on the readded device ->how can a completely delete a device from opmanager?? i've tested the cisco switches with new opmanager installation
Monitor Server Connections or Sessions?
Is there a way to monitor the number of active sessions (or connections) to a Windows 2003 server? This is not an active directory domain controller either... it is a webserver. Thanks for any advice or help... Scott

Historic data gone/missing!
Hi all, We are running Opmanager for over a year now without a lot of trouble, but this morning when I wanted to open the statistics for a server I received: Status Message Unable to find the object: Hostname This was the case on all of our devices. So I figured, maybe the application just needed to be rebooted, so I restarted the services. After that when logging in I received some corrupt tables so I ran repairdb.bat. Hello, I just successfully installed the OpManager 7 beta into a linux CentOS 4.4 box with 2 gigs of ram, and dual Intel CPU's. When I attempt to start the OpManager server (sh StartOpManagerServer.sh) though it fails with the following error logged into stderr.txt file. /opt/Adventnet/OpManager/apache/bin/httpd: error while loading shared libraries: libdb-3.2.so: Cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Any ideas? Interface Traffic Details
Good morning, Is there a way to show "Interface Traffic Details" in Kbps instead of Bps ? It would be easier to see immediately the bandwidth used on a circuit. ie. 128 Kbps on a 2048 Kbps would be better than 16384 Bps on a 2048 Kbps Thanks
Unknown Devices
Last night I installed the OpManager 7 Beta version and so far it looks pretty good. One issue that I'm having and can't figure out is when discovering devices, I have several that are classified as unknown. I've imported them but can't find them to change the device type. Can anyone tell me now to find the devices so I can assign a device type and configure them for monitoring?

Switch port Mapper Question
Why would almost all my Cisco switches not show MAC address, IP address, or DNS information? All Enterasys switches show me the MAC address, IP address, and DNS information and they are setup the same way (correct SNMP and router is added). The Cisco switches do provide all the other fields (ifindex, ifName, IfDescr, IfType, IfSpeed, Status, Availability, and Vlan) and one or two ports (almost always trunk ports) will show all fields, but 95% of ports don't. unable to get the security/inventory infomation on server.

Can't reinstall switch once delete in Switch port mapper
Hello, I changed a switch out for another model and rediscovered it. The old switch had 32 ports, this one has 12. Once I rediscovered it the 12 ports were right for the new switch, but still had 13-32 of the old switch as port of the mapping. I tried deleting the switch and re-adding it. But now it says that the switch already exists. I stoped and started the oputils and rebooted the server. What's next? Also the export feature still give the summary. Please let me know what now? Grouping Servers
Hi, it appears that all of my servers show up in one view. However, I would like to group servers according to purpose. That way, I can set different thresholds per group. I don't need my sql servers having the same thresholds as my web servers and vice versa. Is there a way I can seperate servers into groups and apply different thresholds and tests to the group? Also, is there a way to get rid of items off of the infrastructure list? For example, I'm just monitoring servers. I don't need to see
