CPU Utilization
Hi, I have 4 Dell Poweredge 2850 with red hat 3. Opmanger is monitoring their CPU Utilization, but most of the time the current value is the same. We used the command "top b n 1 | grep -i 'CPU*'". I notice if I used n=2 or 3, the second or third "command" shows up a real value. I attached the example. Why does this happen? Are there any way to solve this? I would like to add up USED CPu and System CPU. Are there any way to do this? Thanks

No Interface Data for ASA and PIX
I am having issues with interface data showing up on both an ASA and PIX firewall device. SNMP is configured correctly as well as the CLI Access. Any assistance would be helpful. We are running Build 7024 with MYSql local install. Thanks, Joe

discovering NIC on servers
Hi all, did you ever have problem with adding NIC in OpManager? I have server, I have been discovered interfaces - it finds one, then I click "Add interface", message "interface added successfuly" but after that there is no NIC in interfaces :( Any idea why?
Unable to run DatabaseMigration.bat

Problem running OPManager MSP on a Vmware machine
Hello Support: I am in an evaluation phase and I am having some difficulties running OPManager MSP Central (Latest version) on a VMWare machine (Windows 2003 server standard built inside an ESX 3.5 server). The installation went well without any errors. However, when I try to launch the application I get the following error: Webserver port # is occupied. Please stop the apache and its dependent processes and then start the server. I get this error regardless of the port # I use during installation
Network Monitor email Notification
i already have setup this tool but, im having some troubles with this feature. i want it to send me an email everytime a device go down, i mean individually, but what it does it send email for everyone of the device im monitoring, also it send email of the Helaty Status. how do you se this tool to send just the one i need?
UDP Scan

Cannot Find Devices after succesful Add
Hi, I have been having the same problem as jblack in forum issue 286911. Ours is a brand new install of Ops Manager 7024 All servers, printers switches and routers have added fine, but we have four temperature/humidity probes scattered around. These are sensorprobe2's from AKCP (http://www.AKCP.com). I have added them and they show as sucessfully added, but when I go to search by IP address they will not show up. Instead I receive the "Sorry your search returned no results. Click here to add a device."
Can't Update Build 6011 with 7.0 Migration Pack
I am unable to use the 7.0 Migration Pack for Build 6010 +. I downloaded the Migration Pack from the Downloads section on this web site, disabled the OP Manager Services, ran the backup batch file, then tried running the Update Utility. When I selected the 7.0 Migration Pack File, it says: "The file you have specified is not compatable with this product." I am running Build 6011 of OP Manager on Windows Server 2003. It is on a VM Ware Box. Any sugguestions on what I can do to get this to work?

MSSQL Monitors - The Monitor did not respond...
I've enabled the MSSQL Monitors for my SQL server but I don't see the graphs for the monitors that I've enabled. When I tried to test the monitor, the following message appeared: The Monitor did not respond to the test request My resource monitors for the same server is working fine. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks.
How do I remove an object from the inventory list?
I deleted a desktop from the map view, but it still shows in the inventory list. I ran another inventory scan, and it is still there. I then ran the sync tool here: https://<probe>:<Port>/admin/SyncDetails.do This had no effect. Does anyone know how to edit the scanfi DB, or another tool that will remove orphan objects from the inventory list?
Cisco router interfaces gone missing
We have several Cisco routers, and all the interfaces seem to have gone missing ?!? 3 different models, all have interface templates setup, and were working fine a week ago when I last checked. Removing saved credentials
Hi there, I notice (but have never done anything about it until now) that in my Credential Library I have a whole bunch of credentials called "SNMPCredential_x" (x = a number) that have been in OpManager7 since I upgraded from version 6. Is there a way to identify what devices are using these (eg: SQL command) and also, how do you delete them (I guess via SQL CLI again) since there's no delete button in the web GUI? Service monitors disappeared from server map overview
For some reason a few of my servers have lost the SQL record that used to appear under - servers - maps main screen. If I click on the server and go down to service monitors I have 3. Web Printers MSSQL But on the main screen I now only have Web and Printers. This might of disappeared when I moved the server out of the servers category and into a custom category but I moved the servers back into the "servers" category and some things are missing. Exception occured while getting graph properties for DiskUti
I've just re-install the software OpManager. For all systems I do a test of credentials and snmp and wmi pass, however, when i go to the screen shot of the pc i get no monitors and when i try to add any i get the error "Exception occured while getting graph properties for DiskUtilization" Anyone know how to fix this?

Install problem
Just installed OpManager7, downloaded from the website this morning. When trying to start, got errors about libdbm, etc, fixed that. Cannot Add Devices
HI, I'm only able to add one of my servers to Op Manager, when i try to add any others I get 'Device Not Reachable' All the servers are on the same IP network and in the same Subnet Mask. regards

Hi All, I'm a newbe for opmanager so I hope this isn't a silly question. We are using opmanager (MSP build 6005) for monitoring the networks of our customers. Although we are not using the software at it's full power (we just don't have the time to do everything at once) we are very happy with the software. Now for letting the probe do it's full functionality (using inventory and security) we have to open many ports on the firewall. (that is: as far as we know). We wouldn't want to open that many

switch port mapper
Hi all, Iamb a newbie to opmanager so please forgive my ignorance. Iamb trying to get switch port mapper working on one of my switches but cant figure out how to set it up on the switch. I have a linksys SRI248GA4HP with gu. Every time i try and use switch port mapper it comes up saying that "Data not available. Please check device availability and SNMP parameters." Does anyone have any suggestions?
Windows 2003 Server Occassionally Drops
Hey...i've got one server that for the second time now just quits talking via SNMP to OpManager. I'm using the same settings as I am for the other Windows servers... today I went in and all of the info was greyed out in the server status screen. test the credentials, and it fails. got into windows, check the SNMP service and everything seems fine, however OpManager will not talk. I'm running OpManager on a Windows 2000 server using the lastest build. the server is a one year old Dell server (poweredge)
Query Unmanaged Devices
Hello, I am in need of assistance in regards to pulling data from the MySQL database. I need to pull the devices that are on maintenance, the common name of the device, and when they went into maintenance. This query will go into a daily email script. Looking at the table "elementsonmaintenance" is only slightly helpful, as I am having difficulty matching the two columns within to the rest of the database... Thanks in advance!
Selected Service Monitors down but no notification
Hi Support, I am monitoring some services and under the notification profile, I have selected only a few of these services to trigger email alert. When the selected services were down, there is no email notification sent but alarm was generated in opmanager. I can see the 'alarmCode in checkAndNotify SERVICE-DOWN' recorded in the log but there is no 'Send Email Notification' entries in the log However, the email notification will be sent if I select ALL the services under the notification profile.
No Data available error for CPU, Memory and Disk IO-hP Serve
Hi, We are setting up OpManager 7. And successfully configured solaris and windows clients. However, for HP-UX servers, unable to get the CPU, Memory and Disk IO graphs. Getting "No data available" error. We want these details using SNMP and not using CLI. Please advise. Thanks in advance Reks
Todays availability is always 100% uptime
Hi, All our servers for different customers have the same uptime which is always 100% even though we have tried to shutdown some of the servers just to see the effect, they also have the exact same uptime.
