Adding text to a business view
Is there a way I can add text to a business view? For example, I have my devices setup (and organized) exactly the way I want them, I'd like to add text to the view so I can label/describe them further. Thanks.

Dear all, I would like to see from a company providing some products public roadmap. I think is not exactly "enterprise oriented" just promise release of software on a forum without giving exact structure of next version, release and bug fixing. limit of managed nodes for free OpManager 7
Hi I recently upgrade Opmanager 6 to 7th version. Version 6 of opmanager was released free for up to 20 managed nodes while ver. 7 is released free for up to 10 nodes. Since I have to deal with up to a dozen of nodes I was warried to do such an upgrade but I noticed that the system kept on managing all my nodes even after the upgrade. Now... if I ever should reinstall from scratch on another manager server the latest version of OpManager, is there a way to continue using the free license (to manage

Properties for new Infrastructure-view Opmanager V7
When creating a new Infrastructure-view, standard settings are made for the view. It is not possible to choose some of the SNMP-monitors for desktops in the new view. Is it possible to make a new view with the same properties as the Desktop-view, if You wish to Group teh desktops in different views?

Servicedesk & OPManager on same server
Hello, We are currently running a licenced Servicedesk Pro 7 om port 80: (http://servicedesk) I am trying to install a demo copy of OPManager on the same server. The setup run with no problemens an I set it up on port 8080. When setup finishes it says that the port is already in use. I tried to change the port, but it still tells me its already in use. RPC Server unavailable
Hi, I am using OpManager MSP 6005, and have one Windows 2003 R2 server that I can not add Windows services for monitoring. I keep getting "The RPC server is unavailable" error. I checked that RPC and WMI services are running and ports 445 and 135 are not blocked. Also the account and password are correct. Several other servers on the same probe are working just fine. How can I fix this problem ?. Thanks Gus
OPManager 7.x on same box as ServiceDesk Plus
I currently have OPManager build 6016 and ServiceDesk Plus 6.x on the same unit. This has been running for quite a while just fine. We are getting ready to upgrade the OPManager to the 7.x product. Will there be any issues doing this with the existing ServiceDesk Plus 6.x product on the box? When the ServiceDesk 7.x migration pack is complete will there be any problems with having both of the latest OPManger and ServiceDesk Plus on the same box? I Have the follow message in the option windows service monitor, when i am selecting the button Add New Monitor: Message: Services in sapprdb.colombiamovil.corp Error # Not enough storage is available to complete this operation. SNMP Traps arrives in SNMPv1 but Varbins cames in SNMPv2
Hi, i am newbie to SNMP but i am having a problem configuring OpManager 7 to receive traps. I have the MIB file for the equipment and the MIB file is in SNMPv2. The problem is that i load the file but seems that the traps arriving are in SNMPv1 but i did a trace with wireshark and seems like the traps are in SNMPv1 but the varbinds are in SNMPv2. If i configure the TRAP processor for SNMPv1, i can receive the traps but i am unable to processe the clear trap. Is there a way to resolve this problem?

Ability to Add Additional Drives?
I have a server, its a NAS server. It is currently configured with a number of DAS arrays. Each of which is monitored by OpManager. Now I've added another drive. How do I get it to see that drive? I go to Add Monitors and select Free Space in GB but its already selected. Clicking okay doesn't cause it to relook at all the drives to see which ones exist and if any new ones have been added. The only way I can think is to remove the free space monitoring then re-add it. But I don't want to do that as

Hello, I've been playing around with the demo, trying to see if I can create an adequate view of my network, and I've run into the need of using custom shortcut icons. The only problem is that I don't know where to drop the images into. For custom device icons its simply /images/devices, but I don't know where to put the custom icons for shortcuts. Any help? Thanks

Incorrect classification of new device
Hello there, I have a Catalyst 3750 24TS switch that I am trying to add into OpManager. The sysObjectID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.516 so I have edited the template for Cisco Catalyst 3750 series and added this OID to the list. However I have deleted and re-added the device several times, and OpManager keeps classifying it as Category: Router and Type: Cisco Device (rather than Switch and Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series). Service Monitor Status does not update
The Service Monitor Status does not update the status of the service, when it is recovered. Monitoring a linux box via Linux Agent SNMP I have added teh service monitor SMTP when I trun off smtp, the monitor shows the service is down, when I bring it back up, it does not update the alarm and the status of the screen. I even updated the status and brought down the monitoring time to 1min. Is this a known issue? Please advise
MSSQL Monitors Not Working
I am trying to setup MSSQL monitors and am not having any success. I think the problem is that SNMP monitoring is not working on the OPManager side. When I test the credentials the SNMP works. However when I try to test my specific MSSQL monitor that is SNMP it is not able to connect. Hello Support Team we use the MSP Ed. and we have the following Problem: after some time the Values of "Last Polled at" and "next Polled at" will be not correct displayed. When we do a "Rediscover Now" then it will be correct displayed for a short time. We have registered this Problem not on all Devices. Oputils build 4407 Switch Port Mapper
Was wondering if anyone has noticed some issues with the switch port mapper utility with the 4407 build. It is behaving much like it did a few releases ago. I am usually able to add switches just fine, but if I manually scan an existing switch, the scan goes and goes and will never stop. I am curious if there is a new bug in the tool. This could cause some havok on the port availability reports and what not. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am not able to see the whole URL, when i do the association between manil notification and URLs. These are things that i did, 1) we created a e-mail notification. consider it is named as NOTIFY1 2) went to maps menu --> server. 3) clicked a server 4) selected notification profile tab in the bottom of the page. 5) selected the NOTIFY1 profile and pressed next button (we want to associate this email profile to a url) 6) click the [selected...] URL monitor is down link 7) it displayed all the URLs
OpManager 6 Database - Reduce size?
Hi, I'm runing build 6015 and my database has reached almost 20GB. I have changed my settings to the following: Maintain 10000 recent alarms in the database. Delete events older than 30 day(s) in the Database. Detailed statistics will be maintained for the last 15 day(s). Hourly statistics will be maintained for the last 45 day(s). Daily statistics will be maintained for the last 45 day(s). This is fine going forward, but how can I get all the old stuff that was already there out of the database?
I can not see SNMP monitors
Hi All, I have noticed that on some servers I can not add SNMP monitoring for CPU, disk utilization, free disk space, memory utilization. SNMP is working OK on these servers. The strange is, that when I am trying to add monitors for server there ar no SNMP 'option' for these 'performance' monitors, they are showed only in WMI version. Monitoring servers are Windows 2003, OpManager 7021, Professional. Regards Slawek J-G.
Read-only or full access is only editable when creating user
If I create a user and then go back into the user manager, I cannot see if that user was setup as read-only or with write access. The 2 options are gone. It is only visible when creating users. Shouldnt it be visable afterward ?
