Rediscover Ports fails
Hi! I am monitoring a Dell switch. Some ports where not assigned when I started monitoring it. I have deleted the free ports from the device. Now I have connected some new devices to the free ports and want to monitor them (the assigned ports), too. When I try to rediscover the deleted ports of my switch I don't get them. I click on "Rediscovery" and get an overview with all ports (included the deleted ones). The boxes for these ports are automatically checked. When I click "Add" the ports won't

Dual interfaced servers
When i add a server to opmanger (windows 2003) and scan the interfaces in the "interfaces" tab i see 2 interfaces. Although in the software im able to check both but as soon as i add them it will only let me add one. I am experiencing this issue with all dual interfaced servers in our company. Does anyone know the solution for this problem.

Opmanager Notification alerts by email
When opmanger sends an alert by email it would be useful to have the ip address as well as the name of the device this would eliminate going into Opmanger to find out what device has the issue to find the ip address. Is this something which could be done?
Bug in Process Monitor
I accidentally posted this over in the App Manager forum, so I re-created it here. I've run into an issue where we are monitoring the number of a specific process on a Windows 2003 server. Initially we set it up to monitor for 100 instances of said process, but now need to monitor a higher count. Unfortunately, when you type anything higher than 100 in the "Instance Count" "Value" field, it comes back with an error that the number must be equal to or less than 100%. I'm guessing it's just a coding
Svchost.exe, memory utilization exceeds
Hi, We're running OpManager 8021. We are consistently seeing this alert which does not coincide with the threshold. The total amount does not add up to the threshold and usually svchost.exe is part of the mentioned services. Memory Utilization is 80%, threshold value for this monitor is 75%: Top 3 Processes:-dns.exe - 27%;lsass.exe - 6%;svchost.exe - 4%

Can OPM8 be configured to send a daily report which contains all outstanding alerts, either for all, a category such as devices, or a subcategory, such as servers? If so, how?

Default dashboard Volumes with most Disk Usage widget is empty
I even tried editing it and selecting a business view to show and it is still empty. If I go to the servers in the business view the Disk Utilization pie chart is showing. How do I fix this?
past data disappeard after rediscovered the server
Hi. I'm using OpManager 6 (build 6015) Free, and surveil several servers and routers. I've got problem that past data of the server monitor had been disappeard, after I rediscovered the server. The server is domain controller, but since I don't have license for DC monitor, I was monitoring this server in "Server" category. Does anyone have any information about this issue ? Unable to get CLI credentials to work on Procurve switch
Hi. I have a trail version of OpManger Professional v8 build 8010. I am trying to get it to talk to one of our HP Procurve 2610 switches via CLI which I am hoping will give me more information than just using SNMP does. At the moment I am seeing no traffic stats for the switch ports at all. However, no matter how I try and configure CLI, it always fails the test authentication. Cannot access OpManager build 8020 admin url from external Laptop using IE 6 & 7
Hi all, Wondering if anybody has any experience with not being able to access OpManager build 8020 admin url using IE 6 & 7. I am able to access it using firefox ver 3.5. There is no firewall between the server hosting the opmanager and my laptop. Nothing was changed and the port was left as defautl (port 8060). Wonder if any body has hit this problems b4 or if anybody has any solutions. Thanks in advance. Willie.

Dear Support Team, before we update the opmanager we had a report that shows us: - the name of the printer - the ip-address - the printed pages after the update the opmanager shows us no more the ip address. db backup issue
Hello, We're running Opmanager build 7205 with Mysql and would like to convert to SQL. When I ran db backup it generated a number of errors (attached) then hung, so I terminated the operation. I then ran db repair which generated a number of errors similar to this: "myisamchk: warning: 2 clients is using or hasn't closed the table properly". I then rebooted the server and tried dbbackup and dbrepair again, both gave me the same errors. Other than that Opmanager appears to be running correctly. I

Attention Alerts not clearing!!!
Hi , We are experiencing an issue where a number of devices have attention alerts on them, i have checked the alarm log and there are no alarms for these devices, everything looks clear , the only place i see then referenced is in the Devices to watch tab, how can i get these alerts cleared, i have rebooted opmanager and also Updated status on the device page. Very anoying as people think there is an issue on the device when there is not. Help
Can I remove these files?
I have found most all of my updates for OpManager in /opt/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/Patch. Can these files be safely removed? I would like to recover the disk space. Is this where we should place any future updates? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I currently have a netflow solution and opmanager running side by side and it appears that opmanager doesnt see the same traffic flow. Does anyone know why this would be the case? The below graphs are taken from an interface on the same server. thanks, Matt
WMI
Hi, I'm having difficulties with WMI on one server. When i test the credentials from OpManager, SNMP passes but WMI fails. If i open a cmd prompt on the OpManage server, i can use the following command and get a result: wmic /user:<username> /password:<password> /node:<device_ip> systemenclosure get serialnumber This tells me that the Opmanager server can connect to the device ok with WMI. Is there any other reason why WMI credentials will fail?? Matt

Hello, Is it possible to run reports on any monitors, e.g. Service Monitors or Process Monitors? We would like to be able to run a report on how often a particular process has been up or down for, e.g. DNS or DHCP or a particular application this server is running. I can't see how to do this. OpManager keeps logging me out
Hi, For some reason, if i leave OpManager alone for a few mins, it times me out and i have to log back in again. If i then try to click on any other link, it asks me to log in again. This carries on until i close IE down and re-open it. If i click on personalize and choose "Automatic Refresh, the Do Not Refresh Automatically, timeout session in" is set to never expire. DNS resolution for a device - OPManager do it only once ?
Hello, I'm thinking about deploying a backup OPManager on my disaster site, without having to reconfigure from scratch this backup OPManager. The problem I have is to duplicate the OPManager configuration as on my secondary site cause devices have not same IPs due to firewall NATTing that I can't avoid. Cannot clear certain webalarm
Hi, I've got a really weird problem: There is one particular web alarm we cannot seem to clear, acknowledge or dismiss. The status of the alarm is "clear" but it will simply not dissapear from the webalarm list. I'm logged on in Opmanager as the admin user so normally I should be able to clear the alarm. Hi. What's the meaning of gray color in Availability graphic? Why some devices turn to this color automaticly? The status display is still green, but the Availability graphic is gray. I try to click on Actions/Monitoring, but nothing changes. The Uptime at Availability report shows 100% for the last days, but a crazy value to last 30 days. Anyone can help me? Thanks. Antonio.
