Removing Process Monitors in 8030
Hi! I've updated my OpManager Version to 8030. After I restarted the server a view process monitors went to "unavailable". Unfortunately I am not able to delete them. I'm not able to delete any of them no matter if the process monitor is up or down. Hint: I've added the same process monitor again and saw a difference between the old and the new ones. The old one gets his data over SNMP the new one over WMI. (but I still can't delete any of them) Also all the process monitors on our domain controller
How to do a scheduled dump
Hi! I just want to know how I can do a scheduled mysql dump of the OpManager DB. I'd like to do that once a week. I've already found the bat-files in "OpManager/bin/backup/*.*" I thougt I could call the batch files with windows task scheduler. Is that possible? What do I have to consider? Select multiple services for "Services by Availability" dashboard widget
Just a suggestion, but would it be feasible to enable users to select more than one service to monitor on the "Services by Availability" widget? For example, I have set up a dashboard to display information just for SQL Servers. These SQL Servers don't all use the same port, so when setting up the "Service Monitors" on the individual server pages, I have had to create multiple services - i.e. MSSQL1234, MSSQL2345, MSSQL3456 etc to represent the different port numbers. Opmanager service gone
Hi, After upgrading to 8030 the opmanager service is gone for me. I can start the application with startopmanager.bat but I really need it as a service. How can I do to readd it again? Also after the upgrade the cpu, memory and disk utilization graphs doesn´t show up. Regards Stefan
[File/Folder monitor] Changing the collapsed panel behavior
Hi, Tought of putting this in a new post, since they are "Categorised". As these 2 new type of monitor "Edit window" uses collapsing panels, I would be interresting, when editing, to automatically uncollapse the configured panels, not always the top one, because if I enter a monitor I didnt setup, or I setupped a long time ago, I will have to open all the panels anyway to see what's configured and what's not. If the panel has all default values, it could be closed. If not, open it so I can see

Adding custom CLI/WMI montors for Windows versions - no data returned

How do you setup monitoring for MS SQL Server?
For a number of our database servers, OpManager is unable to see any of the databases contained within the server. How does OpManager "see" the databases for a given server? Is there a file with security settings? When I click on the "Select Databases to monitor" link, the resulting page is empty rather than displaying a list of databases.
SLA widget licensing
Hi. My company has been using Opmanager for a few years , buying it on a per-year licensing subscription. We just renewed our licence for another year, and our reseller told user that our old "premium" licence was now becoming an "essential" one, which supposedly changed nothing I've just installed the new license file and I've just discovered that we no longer have acces to the SLA widgets, which we use a lot but are now only available in the much more expensive "deluxe" edition. Config File Manger
I am having issues with pulling down the configs off my cisco routers. I have the config-copy and config snmp set on the router. I can see the tftp server accessing the device and the file but it still pulls down nothing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
An Error Occured
I have downloaded the latest version OpUtils 5.6 and installed it, but failed to get it started: If I try to Add a router, I always get " An error occured" If I try to Add a subnet, I also get the same error: " An Error Occured", and I have emailed the diagnostic log to the support address offered by the error handler. Do I need to do certaing preparations, prerequisite befor installing/running OpUtils.
Vista Sound Issues
Hi, I encountered an issue when trying to enable the 'sound alarm' with Vista. All sound drives are installed on the machine but Opmanager would not play the sound. However when I tested Opmanager on Windows XP, the sound played just fine. Is this a bug or maybe there is a patch? Regards Andrea
Issue with multiple ManageEngine apps running simultaneously

From a workstation, we have random symptoms, but always the same result of not being able to have more than one of the apps open at a time. Configuring OpManager to use ServiceDesk Plus
I'm trying to configure OpManager to access ServiceDesk Plus, both for logging tickets and asset information. First I setup an account called OpManager on the domain and allocate it a password. I then do an AD import in SDP to get this account and elevate it to technician status assigning it the SDAsset role along with SDGuest. Now in OpManager I enter the server name and the port 443, import the SSL certificate, enter the username domain\opmanager and paste the password into the password field.
Issue with alerts that do not clear after 8025

Email Notification Error
Hi everyone, We're running OpManager 8025 and have run into an issue with email notifications. We have offices overseas on other domains and it seems OpManager can't notify anyone outside it's own domain as far as email goes. Here's an example: OpManager system is on Domain1.com. Notifications work emailing technicians, like Technician@Domain1.com We monitor devices outside of this domain , so we'll say Domain2.com. We also created a separate notification profile to email technicians on that domain,
Opmanager downtime scheduler feature request
Would it be possible to have a Start Time of "Now" when creating a downtime schedule? Either that or be able to pick the start time down to the minute. Not a critical feature, but nice to have. Thanks, Andy

granular historical reports of interface utilization in OpManager
Hi there, I've noticed that if you run a report on interface utilization over the past week the values are reported as hourly averages. over the past month you get daily averages. Is there any way to get more detail? For example 15 minute averages in the weekly report, and hourly averages in the monthly? Assigning Notification Profiles
When I assign a notification profile to a group of machines, say servers, using the wizard it over writes any specific notification profile settings I have made on individual servers. Please tell me this is not by design?
Changing the color assigned to a support rep
Is it possible to change the colors assigned to support reps? For example, when I look under the schedule tab any unsaved time entered is shown. This is useful except that the color assigned to me is bright yellow. This makes it nearly impossible to read the white text on top of the yellow field. I'd like to change the color rather than go and add another user in the hopes I'll get something more legible.
Application Monitor Thresholds and Notification Profiles
I can't see how to have an email sent to me when one of the application monitor thresholds (AD, MSSQL, MS EX) is violated. If I click on Rules in the Notification Profile tab of one of these server types I can only choose to be alerted when one of the monitors goes down and not when one of the thresholds is violated.
Opmanager doesn't start
We're running Opmanger ver 8 on Windonws 2003 SP2, using SQL on another server. Recently after returning from vacation I found that the Opmanager service stops when I try to log on. If I start the service and try to log in it stops again. I tried to start the service with startopmanagerserver.bat, but that also failed. I heard from our SQL admin that during my absence there was an issue with the accounting DB and it had to be restored. Apparently nothing was done to the Opmgr database. Attached

Hi All - We're having a problem with OpManger version 8025 randomly unmanaging servers and DCs. Currently we are monitoring about 160 Windows and Linux servers and periodically OpManager stops monitoring at least half. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks.

Database update
Hello my PC crashed and I didn't have the latest version of oputils running. I don't know what version I had, but I installed the latest, 5.7. When I put my database file in the c:\program files\ManageEngine\Oputils\firebird directory, the program didn't like it. How can I update my database file to get this to work? I tried multiple times to contact oputils support for this question. When will someone call back? Mark
