Invalid Map View Names
I have created several map views with invalid names. Please let me know how I can remove these map views. Attempting to access the map view presents this error message. No Infra Structure View found with this name.
opmanager don't stop
I am traing to stop opmanager service by '/etc/init.d/opmanager stop' but i get this error. -------------- WebServerPort::: 80 BE PORT:::2000 RMI PORT ::null Could not Shutdown the server through TCP from the host localhost Authentication failed for user admin. CPU and Memory monitoring
Hello, I generate a report each day for Memory, CPU and Disk usage. The disk usage report is great, it shows percentile value as well as actual space (MB/GB Free etc). I am wondering, is it possible to get this same functionality with CPU / Memory (example. display 10% CPU Free / 100MB Free) as my daily reports require me to enter the MB Value as well as a percentage. How to run the StartOpmanagerServer.sh script
For some reason Opmanager stops polling my devices after I log off of the server that the application is installed on. Does this have something to do with how I am running the StartOpmanagerServer script? To get Opmanager to start polling devices I run the shutdown script and then I run the StartOpmanagerServer.sh script. I run the script by logging in to the linux server and doing a "sudo su" and then to execute the script I type "./StartOpManagerServer.sh". Should I be doing something different

Change device type from server to desktop for several systems at the same time.
During device discovery, several of my Windows 7 desktops were classified as "Servers" in OpManager. How do I change the device type from server to desktop on multiple items at the same time without having to do it individually ? Thanks, Chris

How can I use OpManager to monitor a server's Event Logs?
I would like to monitor one of our servers for a few different Event IDs and, at the very least, would like to generate an e-mail when those Events crop up. How do I do this? I see the Admin -> Event Log Rules area, but this window makes little sense. They seem to be pre-defined "rules", but don't seem to be configured, nor do they specify what server they are watching... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I want to add a Telnet monitor to a custom device template I have created. When looking at the configuration needed in HostResource.xml I need to add the new custom category into the correct Poll ID. Since this is a custom device type do I have to create a new Poll ID? RSS feeds for alarms
2-3 years ago, I offered a suggestion for RSS functionality in OpManager in the forums and the OpManager folks seemed to think this was a good idea. However, such functionality still doesn't exist. Do the OpManager folks ever plan to implement this? RSS feeds are handy for several things, including desktop widgets and integration into existing webpages. In our situation, we'd like to integrate an RSS feed of current alarms into our network services homepage so that end users can go to it and see
Trouble importing company logo
Hi, Currently using Op Manager build number 7502. We are wishing to rebrand our report headers with our own company logo. We have tried to import a comapny logo jpg via the "rebranding" section under "Admin". We select the logo and click import. Once this was do we restarted the Op Manager server/application. The report header logo will not change, still default Managed Engine. Is there a fault here or do we need to follow a different process? Regards Corie

Various issues preventing implementation
Our company purchased OpManager a few years ago (maybe v3?) and stopped using it after a year due to excessive issues. We ended up going to HP SiteScope, which, with its latest versions, gone to crap and is no longer good enough for us. Hi I want to set SMPT settings to an external server. Example i want to be able to use smtp.gmail.com We want to do this for priority alarms, so that a third party can be notified. This monitoring will be through a second link, so will have access to internet if our main service goes down. We do not want to use our exchange server, as this defeats the purpose (if our main link is down) there is no way of communicating to the server. this second link is seperate to network for security reasons.
Folder Monitor in OpManager
I have several network appliances that I have setup to dump a backup file of their config to a server every night. Is there a way to use the Folder monitor in OpManager to check to see if the files are coming in every day? What I want is OpManager to look at the folder, see if a file was saved there in the past day. Is that possible?

I have added URL monitors via the Admin section of Opmanager My dashboard shows the number of monitors I added via the admin section, but when I click on URL monitors the view indicated there are no monitors in the database.
