Custom Script OpManager
Hello Folks ; we are trying to restart server with below custom script but couldnt achived it . When we run the script with double click on the server it works. Any idea about that issue ? or any other custom scripts are aprreciated . Log File Monitoring
How can i get notified when the log file doesnt have a specific string . For example i want to make sure each log file has the common string " raw signal " . By this way opmanager will warn us when the log file didnt created expectedly. For now i just see only String Match case . How can i imply this scenario ? Thanks.
WMI based monitoring error
Dear Support, I got problem with WMI monitoring, cannot get data CPU, Memory and all monitoring. but when I test WMI credential setting get output normal, then I test with WMI Tester get output normal too. when I test monitor get data CPU or Memory show error message. Client that monitored by Opmanager most of win 2008 server and win 2003 server. but others server used CLI and SNMP its seem normal and can get the data. Now I used Opman Ver 10000. this problem show up when I user ver 9410. OS Opmanager

Hi, It is possible that OpManager can monitor log file under specific folder and set a keyword for alerting, if the keyword seen on the logs opmanager sending alert via email for notification. Please advice, Thanks, Joe

Hi Just upfraded from Opmanager 9450 to 1000 and now cannot log into to the application !!, made worse by the Opmanager support portal being down :-( I need an answer to the login problem as its our production netwrk monitoring platform.
SPM does not show any MAC or IP Addresses
I have a cisco SG300-28P switch and when scanning with SPM I get no MAC or IP addresses. I also have some Linksys SRW224G4P switches and those work fine. The Cisco are running FW 1.2.9.44

Hello Team ; Opmanager database is MSSQL .it is in different server with OpManager . As you see from stdout log file "connection to the Database is lost " error is visible. Do you know how to check connection loss errors in MSSQL .
Email Notification when miss 4 ICMP timeouts

Process Monitor for Reporting purpose only - no alert
Is there a possibility to use the process monitor only for reporting and not for alerting? I would like to monitor some user processes that are running on a citrix server to determine how much a process consumes, but I don't want a alert, if the process is not running. for example: I would like to know how much CPU and RAM Acrobat.exe is using over a certain time. But Acrobat.exe is not running all the time, so it should not generate a alert if it is not running. thanks
Cpu Util , Mem Util and Conns Cound Customize
I would like to know how I can customize the view that show cpu and memory utilization for each device category for example , I would like to show juniper and sonicwalls current connection count but both of them is on seperate oid's. How or where in the program do you customize those three output to show on the device dashboard ? I have tried to find it in the documentation , If I missed please just point to correct part of Documentaion.
How to define what is a WAN link?
I'm using Opmanager 8721 with the SLA license and need to know how to set an interface as "WAN link". I running the dashboard widget "WAN links by availability" for a specific business view that only has my WAN routers in it. My problem is that some of my WAN links are ethernet and these are not showing up in the report. It looks to be only pulling up the dialer and FR interfaces. Can I change an interface to be classes as a WAN interface? Thanks, Brendan

Dears, This is my first implementation for OppManager and I am kindly need your assistance. The customer have 3come switches and Fortigate firewall, my problem is that Oppmanger is not providing CPU, Memory utilization, etc.. while providing all details regarding their Ethernet ports for the same devices. Adding Exchange monitoring to existing Virtual Server.
I have a virtual Exchange 2010 server that was not added explicitly as an Exchange server, but that I'm trying to add Exchange monitoring to after the fact. When attempting to add the Performance Monitor and then choose the Exchange monitors, it kicks me back to the server page with a vague error.. Moving Devices From One Probe to Another
Morning, I am currently looking to migrate a number of devices from one of our OpManager Probes onto another one of our Probes as we are looking to decommission one of them. I was just wondering if there was an easy way to do so rather than manually re-entering the devices onto the other Prober (i.e. export data from SQL db and import data into other db)? Monitors Category missing based on Device Templates
Hi, In order to properly manage all my servers i have created 2 Server templates (Servers Dell and Servers HP) including standard monitoring (CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization, etc.) adding particular monitors for the vendor hardware. I just discovered that in the dashboard of these servers i'm missing some category of monitors: Windows Service Monitors; File Monitors; Folder Monitors; How can i add the Windows Service Monitors category so i can add the monitoring of specific services? Physical health monitoring on ESX4.1
Hello, I am monitoring an ESX4.1 installed on a HP proliant DL380 G5. I need to monitor things like power supply, temperature etc... As OpManager is based on native API, I don't need any agent installation on my ESX, do I? Even if OpManager doesn't use SNMP for ESX monitoring, can we use a MIB to get those informations? no windows credentials tab in oputils 6
in oputils 5 there was a tab called windows credential in order to resolve dns name abd system explorer via wmi. in oputils 6 this tab disappeared and replaced with active directory tab. in my case i don't have active directory in my network, is there any work around for this issue thank you in advance
[Feature request] Repeat notifications for unacknowledged alarms
I need a feature that will send email notifications every N (minutes/hours) until the alarm is acknowledged or cleared. My issue is that during unscheduled downtime, I receive so many notificatons from Opmanager that I usually miss one or two that does not say "Clear". This is usually for a single process or service, so it's easy to miss until users start complaining. I also have a few alarms that are acknowledged but not cleared, so I'd like to set up a separate schedule as a reminder if an acknowledged

How to remove HyperV VM?
According to the documentation I should see a remove/delete action in the VM Snapshot page. I do not... How do I remove these "orphaned" machines? They were deleted/removed from the host server. Ignore individual alarms directly from the Alarms tab
When I turned on my Event Log notifications, I started recieving hundreds of random, non-important events (like printers disconnected or domain voting). So I started adding these events manually to your Event Log Rules and set them to "ignore". However, the amount of steps that are required to add 1 single event to "ignore" is unneccessarily complicated. I need to go to the server, find the event, get the event ID, warning level, type, and message, then create a new Rule and set it to "Ignore". Suggestion:
Need Assistance Adding Seed Core Device for Maps
Hello-- This is going to sound like a lame question, but I'm looking over the instructions for configuring a network topology map and I can't get past the 2nd step. Here are the instructions: From the OpManager dashboard, select Maps --> Network Maps link (mouse-over the Maps tab to see the links to all the maps). A monitor with same name already exists
Hi to all, I need to create a lot of custom monitors for icmp messages, UDP datagrams, etc. for all devices i'm monitoring. How can I obtain this behaviour? If I create a custom monitor for a device template, I can use it again only on same vendor templates. If I try to create same custom monitor on a different vendor template (not scalable approach) I obtain an error like this "A monitor with the same name already exists. Provide a different name". I'm using last OpManager 64bit version on Windows
