I was backup data file config of opManager by https://www.manageengine.com/network-monitoring/help/userguide/backup_restore.html I copy folder backup in C:\<OpManager Home>\bin\backup After i was arhive it file ZIP by name backup2808.zip and install new opManager. Esx's not classified as "ESX servers" once deleted and re-discovered in Verion 11.6
Hi We are testing version 11.6 (still running in // version 11.4), for that I've added one of our vcenter 5.5. After like 15min, we were able to see all the vm's & the 2 esx's, everything were classified in the "virtual" tab as expected. - Problem is when i delete the 2 esx's, then a force to re-discover via the vCenter, they re-appear couple minutes later but they never came back as ESX server in the "virtual" tab !! - Same behavior with the Vcenter, if you delete it, and re-add it : vm will come

Few questions (v11600): Background: We upgraded from v11600 from v10xxx and it initially seemed everything migrated over, however, the VM's were not showing up under Virtual or Server menus sections, only under Inventory | All Devices. ESX and VCenter the same. Removing ESX and VCenter and re-adding changed nothing. Support stated we needed to remove everything and then re-add just the VCenter to let the discovery. VMWare Monitoring problem with VM and multiple network card
Hi, we're testing opmanager with vmware plugin and we seems to have problems when the VM has multiple network interface. Just an example: We have a win2008 machine with 2 network interfaces, one on the public network and one in a private storage network not routed outside of the storage switches. When we discovered the host we saw that opmanager discovered the VM with the "private" ip address as the main address and as the hostname too (this address is not in the dns reverse lookup). Change default FQDN for central server on probe

Device Details of a Vcenter
Another annoying "problems" - The device details of a discovered Vcenter shows unknown for type & vendor ! - red message "unable to show login parameters as device type is unknown" when clicking on password on "device details" ; and no possibility to add SNMP credential on a Vcenter.... - esx's are not listed according to their names for example when clicking "virtual" -> "esx server" , looks like they are showd in a random manner....not very convenient ! Cache Monitors on SQL server
Using opmanager I am able to query all DB parameters, but below two monitors are not at all collecting data. - Cache Hit Ratio - Cache Hit Ratio(SQL 2005 Server) Test monitor shows the error as "The Monitor did not respond to the test request" No Clue on what might be wrong here; I am not suspecting WMI services as remaining monitors on the same server are polling data fine.
SNMP and Syslog.
I have a server that works with SNMPv3 requests, but not traps. It also will not process syslog messages for EventLog Analyzer. I can set that both types of messages are getting to the server. Any ideas what could be happening? Thank you.

Several Issues
Hi everyone, I've used OpManager for close to 10 years and I love it. I'm now on version 11.6. I don't like the new interface, so I'm using the "old" theme. However, we have a lot of virtual machines using HyperV, and I notice it uses the new interface for that. I guess I'll just have to get used to it. Disable Unlicensed Features
As I could understand that this maybe a method for Manage Engine to promote its rich features but in the end there are too many tabs that are not being used. pfx ssl on OpManager central and probes
Morning, I was having issues getting my wildcard cert installed on OpManager central and had to call in tech support to get it running properly. Unfortunately for me I wasn't watching close enough and I am having the same issue on the probes. Background Images for OpManager Are Too Large, Causing Poor RDP Performance
Hi, The background images for OpManager are too large, causing very poor performance over RDP. When accessing OpManager over a remote RDP session, it often hangs the browser for 30 seconds, while the background image is redrawing as it fades in. login_bg.jpg - 232kb noise-bg2.png - 1MB This makes it very difficult to use OpManager over a remote RDP connection. Needless to say, this is frustrating during an outage scenario.

Working with opmanger 6 years, saw many problems. Now we are on version 11.5 and see problems again. Delayed Trigger seems doesn't work
Hi, We have an issue about the delayed alerts; We would like to receive an e-mail alert only after 5 minutes. We configured a notification profile with Delayed Trigger and 'Do not trigger if alarm is acknowledged' check box enabled. It seems doesn’t work because OpManager sends an e-mail alert as soon as an critical event occurs. The our current OpManager version is 11600 and it runs on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter (64bit). Physical and Virtual servers showing different interface
Since updating to OpManager ver 11600 the interface for Virtual servers has changed. It looks like it is using the new API even though I have set it to use the old version. Physical server are showing correct, using the old API version. Also, under the Visualization menu tab, all the options are missing apart from All Devices. I have done a fresh install on a test server and the results are the same on there. Have the visualization options etc been removed or am I missing something. Thanks, Paul.

Also, I used the Screenshot feedback but not sure if this is a one-way feedback since it didn't ask for my email address nor other details. Just in case... Hi, I am not able to add disk related monitors for a linux machine. I tried deleting and readding the node already but it didnt help. Its being monitored through CLI and memory, CPU monitoring is fine. where as free or used disk space monitor is not getting added.
OpManager stops responding when I add WMI credentials
Trying to add WMI credentials. I set Name, Domain\Username and password. When I click Save the webpage with the modal window freezes and after a while the webbrowser tells me the page has stopped responding. When I refresh the page the credential is not added. Tested in Edge and Firefox.

How to monitor a Site to Site VPN on a Cisco ASA
We have two VPNs setup on a Cisco ASA 5525. We are currently using IPCheck to monitor the tunnels. We are looking to move away from IPCheck and I am looking into OPmanager to see if it can provide just a basic ping monitor for these VPN Tunnels. Thanks, Justin G.
