We have a standalone 11.6 Essential OpManager that has been running for some time. We have purchased an Enterprise license and we are deploying with in our environment with the plan to migrate the standalone version to a probe.

I have studied the instructions in the wiki explaining how to perform this migration but I have some questions about the "MigrateToEnterprise.bat".

I have built the new copy of the Standalone and restored the database as per the instructions.

When running the Migrate command file on the copy of the standalone OpManager does that command file need to be able to access the OpManager Central and/or the new Probe instance or does it execute in isolation and create a file that can then be restored into the new Probe?

Before running the Migrate should the Probe already be built and communicating with the Central?

Does it matter if the Central already has a non-migrated Probe talking to it from a brand new install?
