Network view not created
Hi, When I add a device via add device in the admin tab the info returned is device added successfully. However, the network view is not created. Also, when I try to add another device or a new device, I will get the error "Entries for the device are either partially added or removed.Click [here...] to remove and readd the device". I am using MSSQL database. I tried doing a Select * from Network and no rows are returned. I found traces of the servers (classname: IPAddress and SNMPInterface) in managedobject
Cannot Change Device Category from DomainController
I am using the free version of OpManager 7 (7025). After adding a device (Windows Server) I changed the Category from Server to DomainController. When I tried to open its SnapShot window I received this error message: "Active Directory Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed." The SnapShot was not performed. I want to change the Category back to "Server" but there is no way to do it. If I delete the device and add it again, it is added into the Category "DomainControllers". How can I get it out
ColdStart Events
What is the difference between the following events? ColdStart : SERVERNAME.1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.3 ColdStart : null The events are from different servers. The ColdStart : null event seems to happen all the time on that server, but the computer is on a battery backup and is able to be pinged. Alerting for that computer is every one minute but I never get an alert that the server is down. Any idea what's going on?

Hi, Why do my snmp monitors for disk space always have the wording "Serial number xxxxx" on the end of it? Can't I just have the name of the partition and the partition name as the text? e.g. c:\ Label: OS Instead of C:\ Label: OS Serial Number 14729f0c How can I remove the Serial Number part? ???? Thanks

monitor process utilization?
as I posted before, we are currently testing opmanager against other platforms. We would like to know if opmanager can monitor how much memory and cpu a process or service is using? For example, if msword.exe usually uses 20% of the cpu and 200mb of memory, I want an alert telling me that msword.exe is now using 75% of the cpu and 500mb of memory. thanks nf

New Template monitor specific oid
Dear Support, I have created a new template and wish to add custom monitor of specifc sub-oid to the template. The selected oid (ltmPoolActiveMemberCnt) from mib browser will return 4 results but I am only interested to monitor only 1 of the sub-oid. Availability Report incorrectly showing as down
Hi, I am using ops manager build 7025, and am having problems with the availability reporting for one devices. This devices is reporting as being unavailable 100% of the time, even though it never misses a ping, shows it's interfaces as being up etc The device in question is a cisco catalyst 3750 switch, and is directly connected to the op-manager server Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to create window credentials
Hi, I'm looking at the trial version of Opmanager (build 7025) running on W2K3 and MS SQL. Great product however I have come across an issue, I'm unable to create or edit windows credentials. When I click apply the screen clears and nothing happens except java.exe hogs the processor. I can setup or edit SNMP credentials with no problems. Any ideas ? Regards, John
Entries for the device are partially added but won't remove
I had a server that disappeared and now when I try to add I get the following message "Entries for the device are partially added or removed. Click here to remove and readd the device" However, when I click it does nothing. I just get the same message when I try to readd. 30 day report
I'm trying the Openmanager 7 on Linux. IF I choose 30 day reports, it's show me one point of traffic for each day. It's possible to change it, to become more detailed, like, 24 or 48 points for each day ?
can't cpu and memory utilization graph in the device page
Hello support, my problem is like that: I added new template device and add for it new custom monitors and also cpu, memory and disk utilization monitors of net-snmp. I associated the new template to a linux monitored station with net-snmp. all the monitors work fine when I test them, but the cpu and memory graph on the main snapshot page is not showing anything ("No Data Available"), on the other hand disk utilization graph work fine. can you help me resolve this problem?

Report Generation- Custom Reports (NOT Flexible)
In Custom Reports I can only generate report for 1 server only. How can i generate reports of 2 or more server in one view. Let say server1 and server2, You will see their CPU, Memory or Disk Utilization in Graph together, so that comparison will be easier. Will not have to generate report on each server then compare them. Im using OPManager 7 or your upcoming SP will address this. I think this is one of the weakness of OPManager, Report Generation is not flexible.. Hope you'll answer my concern.

When I click on "Troubleshoot..." here is the helpful message I get: No Data Available - Possible reasons 1. The Performance monitors may not have been associated to this device. 2. Can you add on your future updates some additional information on Device Info. on the hardware information. Right now it only shows memory and disk size. Hope you can include processor type, processor speed, vendor etc. so that we can also use for the hardware inventory. Thanks..

Change Device Catagory casuses error
Hello, I added a couple of Cisco Catalyst 3560 switches, they were added as routers. I tried changing them to "switches" at which point I got a an "error" and the devices disappeared !!!. But when I went to add them manually I was informed that they already existed. I take it I need to delete them from the database (SQL2005 running in SQL2000 compatibilty mode) Can someone tell me how to sort this out so that I can re-add switches.
Why are SQL monitors in Windows 2003 monitors
When adding IO pages read monitor to a W2K3 device it turned out to be for SQL. mssqlSrvInfoPageReads 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.2.1.4 OBJECT. In fact there are lots of SQL monitors. Is this right. I really need Memory\Page Reads/sec for windows as this gives hard page faults.

Hello, I have OpManager running in a test environment for the past 2 days. I have some questions that I hope can be answered: 1. Am I supposed to turn off the Microsoft SNMP Trap Service? 2. SQL Table for Performance monitors
Hi Can you tell me which table holds all the data for devices performance monitors? I would like to delete all the Virtual and Physical Partition % monitors for my servers and would be quicker to do this via the DB than going into the settings of every device? Thanks

Customizing Dashboard
Hi! I was wondering if I can customize the Dashboard in Opmanager (ver7). I think the view in OpManager 6 was much better since there you could all of the Business snapshots. In version 7 you have a More button. This is not a good solution since we want to see if a device goes down in which location (business view). Is there any chance this is coming in a sp?
