Hi, I currently have a netflow solution and opmanager running side by side and it appears that opmanager doesnt see the same traffic flow. Does anyone know why this would be the case? The below graphs are taken from an interface on the same server. thanks, Matt
WMI
Hi, I'm having difficulties with WMI on one server. When i test the credentials from OpManager, SNMP passes but WMI fails. If i open a cmd prompt on the OpManage server, i can use the following command and get a result: wmic /user:<username> /password:<password> /node:<device_ip> systemenclosure get serialnumber This tells me that the Opmanager server can connect to the device ok with WMI. Is there any other reason why WMI credentials will fail?? Matt

Hello, Is it possible to run reports on any monitors, e.g. Service Monitors or Process Monitors? We would like to be able to run a report on how often a particular process has been up or down for, e.g. DNS or DHCP or a particular application this server is running. I can't see how to do this. OpManager keeps logging me out
Hi, For some reason, if i leave OpManager alone for a few mins, it times me out and i have to log back in again. If i then try to click on any other link, it asks me to log in again. This carries on until i close IE down and re-open it. If i click on personalize and choose "Automatic Refresh, the Do Not Refresh Automatically, timeout session in" is set to never expire. DNS resolution for a device - OPManager do it only once ?
Hello, I'm thinking about deploying a backup OPManager on my disaster site, without having to reconfigure from scratch this backup OPManager. The problem I have is to duplicate the OPManager configuration as on my secondary site cause devices have not same IPs due to firewall NATTing that I can't avoid. Cannot clear certain webalarm
Hi, I've got a really weird problem: There is one particular web alarm we cannot seem to clear, acknowledge or dismiss. The status of the alarm is "clear" but it will simply not dissapear from the webalarm list. I'm logged on in Opmanager as the admin user so normally I should be able to clear the alarm. Hi. What's the meaning of gray color in Availability graphic? Why some devices turn to this color automaticly? The status display is still green, but the Availability graphic is gray. I try to click on Actions/Monitoring, but nothing changes. The Uptime at Availability report shows 100% for the last days, but a crazy value to last 30 days. Anyone can help me? Thanks. Antonio.

Hi. What's the real meaning of gray color in Availability Report? I got some devices with green status, but in availability reports they appear in "on maintenance" status. Scheduled Downtime Problem - OpManager 7025
Hi, I have a problem with OpManager 7. I had a scheduled weekly downtime window, which automatically disabled management of a few hosts during a scheduled reboot. It worked fine for a while, automatically re-managing the devices at the end of the window. A few weeks ago I was doing some unscheduled work, so put a temporary downtime schedule in place to stop alerting. Teamed NICS
Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to monitor both nics when they are teamed? We have HP servers and use the HP network facility to team the cards. However only the team NIC is viewable and can be monitored against. I would like to monitor the switch ports that both cards plug into but the only way to do this is to manually trace the 2nd cable. The server interface screen and the switch port mapper only show the team card and not the 2 cards individually. OPmanager 8002. Hope this makes

I get this error ( AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.3 ) on A Windows 2003 Domain controller and on a Windows 2000 Server. The Error will come and go without any intervention. I can not find any information on the meaning of this error. Is it a failure of OpManager to connect to the server in question or is it an AD authentication error?
Business View Editor Stuck
Good Day Problem discription: The OpManager works fine as long I just looking at the status and use it as viewer. I can see all devices on my business view map. BUT if i try to edit this map, i can only see a view of the devices. And if i try to add another device, the editor freezes. The only chance to get out, is to close the browser. And if i try to create a new bussiness view map, i look at the loading dialog that seems to have an invineti loading time. So i have no chance to create a new map.
Moving to new server
Hi, I've moved my OpManager installation to a new server. Everything seems to be working except there are a few things missing. I created some new infrastructure views which have disappeared and there are also some devices which appear but when you click on them they can't be found. Any ideas why this has happened? Clicking on Maps tab--no display
I've create a user with read only permissions to view one business view. When they log in and click on Maps. It displays a blank page, no error (map.jpg). Normally with a user with more privileges it will display the first view in the list (Default=servers). Is there any way to set it to default for the one business view they have permission too? applying device templates wont work on certain servers
Hi! When i try to apply devicve templates to certain servers they arent to added, the only device template i want to have is for watching disk usage on paritions with certain treshholds - it works on most of my servers but some it wont. i have tried the snmp service on these and they are lookin just fine. what is this, is this a bug or something? what can i do about it? its really important that i can add certain templates to all servers at once because we have a lot of servers. thanks in advance!
How to monitor devices behind NAT?
I have a router that is performing NAT for a dozen or so switches. The switches behind the router have a port mapped so that they can be managed via HTTP. I want to monitor using HTTP to determine if any of those devices go down since I obviously cannot monitor them using ICMP in this case. The problem is that I can only set each device to monitor using ICMP or one TCP port. No monitors are working with Server 2000 Machine
I have a machine with Windows Server 2000 SP 4 but none of the monitors added will work. I get the standard message: 1. Check if SNMP is enabled on this device. SNMP is installed and started 2. The SNMP request might have timed out It probably did cause it takes a long time. I did set the time out to 10. 3. The OID may not have been implemented in the MIB. I saw references to this problem in this forum but no solution. We occasionally get alerts that the CPU utilization on a server is high and above the threshold but the top process is "idle". Is there any specific cause and solution to this problem? Thanks. Mark
OP-manager application stops monitoring every day
Hi, I have Op-manager installed with the DB inside an MS SQL 2005. The application server is a windows 2003. Almost every day the application stops monitoring the devices without any specific reason. There are no Down Time Schedules setup. When i try to login to the web page most of the times bu not always i get an error about the user table in the DB.
