Active Directory Monitor in OpManager Demo?
I'm currently using the free Opmanager demo to monitor 4 server and I noticed that the AD monitoring license expires after 30 days. Since the demo is geared towards personal/SMB use, I don't think it would be unreasonable to allow, say, the perpetual monitoring of one domain controller without expiration. Any chance of this ever occurring? Thanks in advance.
Monitor harddrive failures
Hi, Does anybody know how i can monitor harddrives with opmanager? for instance i want to receive an alert when a drive fails. I tested raid failures with eventlog. I added a custom rule with the correct eventid but I do not receive an alert in opmanager.........(alert is generated in eventviewer only) Anybody experienced with this case? bye, Daan
Send sms with secondary mailserver
Hello, I'm currently evaluating OpManager and i want to try the sms feature in OpManager. Because our sms server is different from our normal mailserver i want to use the second mailserver. Move from windows to linux
Hi, I'm trying to migrate a windows installation with a freshly installed linux-version (x64-version). Updated the windows version with service pack 5 (#8050), did a backup of the data and restored it on the linux-machine. My availibility report graph stays blue, even though the Server is up...Also the availibilty report generated reports that we have 100% uptime when infact the server was down...

the opmanager cannot discover all the interfaces of cisco 6509 which has hundreds of interface. i had tried many times to rediscover the interface. but it just discovered less than a dozen's interface. how can i add a specific interface of a switch to monitor, if i had know the index of the interface.
Multiple Performance Monitors in one Widget
Hi, Is it possible to have multiple performance monitors from a one device in a single widget? I know there's a "Last Polled Value of a Performance Monitor" -widget, but I want to see polled values from multiple perfomance monitors. Let me you give an example: I have 15 different dhcp-scopes and I monitor each scope's available addresses. Now I have to use different widget's for each scope instead of one. -Mikko

Forwrding Alert to Servicedesk
Hi Is there any plans to allow the forwarding of alerts to servicedesk? At the moment we review daily the windows events, many of these we can ignor but still need to be informed about. It would be great if we could select an alert and click "Create Request" which then creates a support request in servicedesk. I know we could set up notifications to do this but this would creat too many false positives. Regards Mike
Custom monitors - adding and deleting from multiple devices
I have hundreds of devices that I would like to both add (the monitors have already been created) and remove custom monitors from. How can I do this? Similarly, I need to remove Resource Monitors and Vendor Specific monitors from hundreds of devices. How can I do this? We are running MSP Edition Build Number 6003 Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

cpu.vbs produces "invalid use of null: 'cstr'"
I have a win 2003 that fails the cpu util when using WMI. I get the error "invalid use of null: 'cstr'" when I run the cpu.vbs command manually. It works on other systems so it seems to be a issue with the system, but I'm not sure where it's at. I saw a previous post where someone were having a problem with the disk.vbs which was fixed in the script. Anyone know what causes this problem? I'm using Opmanager 8.5 (8050).
Istalled Software service not working
Hi I am using opmanger and have loaded everything I need but I cant get the Device Info/Installed Software feature to work. I have set up my SNMP agent but when I select the feature Installed Software nothing comes up and in the address bar I get this msg: http://host:8060/devices/deviceinfo.do?devicename=devicename&requestid=SOFTWARE&Level=3,Server,SERVICE,,config,urlmonitor,FATopRule,FATopUrl,eventLog,sdNotConfigured Any help would be grateful. Hello, Having trouble loading the G3-AVAYA-MIB Version 3.1.2 into opmanager.... The file seems to be unusually large compared to the other mib's that came with the application. I've commented out a few lines, but it still doesn't seem to want to load. Has anyone had any luck getting this into the application? Thanks!

Router availability
Hi, I´ve a Cisco 1600 router with 82% of memory use. No other alarmas are present in the router. But when I take an availability report of the router it appears -0.55%. Does the high memory use percentage brings the device availability down?. Can I change some setpoint in the application to not to consider the memory use when calculate de device availability?. Problems caused by DB
Hi latest i have experienced issues that was caused by db (error data in tables) in notification profiles, in assigning a template to many workstations and still have issues that are in support with folders monitoring and i still discover some. if i make a new installation my issues do not exist so i am convinced that the problem is someware in db. I have 2 suggestions. 1 . Maybe you can create health check scripts for the db like the ones support ask from us to execute, 2. Create some migration

Bulk notification profile association not remembering severity level
When I use the bulk notification profile association option to only alert on 'critical' severity events only, the profile is associated with 'all' severity level option instead. I've tried this several times with the same result. Going to each individual server and selecting 'critical' severity events works fine. OpManager 8050 using MySQL backend.
8050 Folder Monitor doesn't monitor network shares
When attempting to monitor a network folder the following error is displayed when clicking "Test" Folder Existence Folder does not exist I've attempted the following without success: \\ServerName\Share\Folder \\ServerName\Share \\Server.Name.intra\Share \\10.x.x.xxx\Share\Folder \\10.x.x.xxx\Share If I monitor a local folder and click the Test button I'm shown that the path being monitored is a network path and it's successful. Basically on the cisco router we have a ip clear link and a isdn backup when this goes down we want to be alerted of when the traffic jumps over to the isdn backup route from the IP Clear. File monitoring does not work correctly work within opmanager and once the monitor has been setup you cannot edit the file path
Just gone to set-up file monitoring to our file server and once you have set-up you can not edit the template to change the path. The alerts do not work correctly in terms getting a email as if you change the monitor to one minute you dont get the message after this time. Secondly if you edit the file with the text in it you dont get a email after 1 minute to say this has been changed please investigate and resolve.

I am trying to set up OpManager 7 Beta Free Edition on a Windows 2003 Server Standard R2 box, using MSSQL as the backend. I can get the databases connected and the tables created using the DB Configuration tool, but when I start the two OpManager services and try to view the web interface, I get the following message: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. After Upgrade to 8050 tables corrupted, run RepairDB.bat
I upgraded to 8050 today. When I go to login I get the classic Run RepairDB.bat from the bin directory and restart the server. I have stopped the sevices, run the repairdb.bat and restarted the server.....a couple times.....and I still get the same error upon trying to login to OpManager. Any suggestions?

"Test Monitor" option under Alarms
When I view the details of an alarm, one of the actions that I'm presented with is "Test Monitor", but if I click this, I just get a pop up box with the title "Sorry!
