Devices without Notification Profiles
Hi all, We are trying to determine which of our devices do not have Notification Profiles assisnged to them. We would also like a report for each device to list the Notification Profile assigned and the triggers that generate the profile. Any help would be great. Cheers Chris
Probe blank screen after installation
Hello, my friends, I have a problem with the OpManager 7 Enterprise probe. After the probe installation in a any terminal, when I try to discovery machine first time, the probe logon screen do not appear. Always open in a blank screen. I check the Windows Services and de Java console and nothing change. I have to try all to resolve, but any result. Can you help me prelase? I'm from Brazil, sorry for the bad letters or english. Problem after update to 8050

OpManager reads a diffrent SNMP Value than other MIB Browser
Hello, we have a strange Problem with OpManager and a custom SNMP OID. When I use a MIB Browser and query the OID the result is 1 (which is the right one). OpManager gets for the same OID the value 0 (see screenshots below) What can we do? Thanks in Advance
charset problem

Which Variables for Trap Processor Properties - Message field
Is there an overview of the available variables for the Trap Processor Properties - Message field Or does this depend on the device that sends the traps? I've figured out that $Source by the "LinkUp" or "LinkDown" event on a switch displays the IP of the switch, but I'd like to see the port description also.
MIB trouble
I'm having trouble getting a MIB from Sensorsoft uploaded into our system. It just comes back with an "Unable to upload" message when I try to upload it through the MIB browser. The link Sensorsoft provides to download the MIB from is http://www.sensorsoft.com/download/alertmib1.mib. Any ideas?

No more Switch Port Mapper ??
Hello, We use OPmanager for 3 years now and had all of our servers monitored by it, all fine. Last week my boss asked me about switch monitoring in OPManager, so I told him there was a very usefull tool to see what's connected : Switch port mapper. I added a few switches for test and didnt't find the switch port mapper link under "device info" as it was few monthes ago... I have here a Professional edition, Build 8040 (and i had switch port mapper before) Can you please help ? yours Cédric

Hello. I'm so sorry if this has benn answered before, but i looked this up in the whole site and found nothing about it. I'm interested in monitoring the cpu temperature of a intel processor in a windows 2003 server. Is there a mib file that i can load in opmanager or something like that? I found some mib files in the intel webpage, but they are just for switches and stuff. Thank you.

modem stops sending SMS
Hi, I am currently on opmanager 8.22. I have a wireless multitech modem attached to my application to send sms alerts.However past one week, the modem hangs up intermittently. When i connect to the modem via hyperterminal and send an AT command and an SMS to the test mobile number it seems like some buffer is cleared and opmanagr starts to send smss again. The baud rate set for the modem is 9600 and that set on opmanager is also 9600. Could you let me know asap as this is on my production platform.
Map Maker Problems in Opmanager version 8.0 build 8024
There are several problems with the Map Maker utility installed on our Opmanager Server. 1) From the Server side (Windows 2003 Standard Edition, w/ a SQL 2005 DB): We login to the Map Maker utility and add devices to a business view. Cisco MDS 9124 Switches - CPU/Mem/Backplace not showing
I have both SSH and snmp set on OpManager, and can't get CPU/Mem/Backplace statistics. The CPU and mem monitor tests fail, but I can see all interfaces. Type is set to Cisco MDS Multilayer Switches. System Descrip shows the Cisco NX-OS m9100. Thanks in advance.

Unable to install opManager as a linux service.
I am using Ubuntu 8.04.2. I tried to search how to download that , and found that you could do it using some rpm command. But when I tried using rpm command, it said : rpm: command not found. Migrate from Windows to Linux
I have a Opmanager server running on Windows. I would like to migrate this server to Opmanager for Linux. What is the best way to do this? I already tried to use BackupDB.bat on Windows en restore the backup file on Linux, but Opmanager won't start any more after this.
Some modules not working
We recentely updated to build 8025 version. Now we are facing issues like we can't see interfaces module when we go to switch. However i when go to 'Infrastructure views' and from there i try to view switches i can see which intefaces are having error etc. What issue it can be? Prateek

Problem with resource monitoring

Hi, Nice SP, installation went well and all seem great, I tried the file monitor and got some weird behaviors. There is a little glitch on the "Test Monitor" function. If the monitored file does not exist, there is a javascript error that appears, line 7452, char 3, error is "Object Required". I know the file does not exists, but I expected the same popup with a red "File does not exists" instead of a javascript error :) As I wrote this message, I made some check, and a really weird thing happens...

Currently I have a created a new monitor for a temperature alert device. I was able to create a new Type (Sensatronics) but I had to list it under a random vendor(3Com) and category (Desktop) since I don't see the option to create my own vendor and categoryu?

In addition to CPU, disk & memory utilization, we are trying to monitor some additional parameters like Disk Queue Length, Memory monitors (Pages per Second & Page Faults) & Processor monitors (Processor time & Idle Time).
