After migrated, OpManager don't start
Hello for all, I need migrate my OpManager to one new server. My old server is a OS 32bits Linux with Opmanager 7, with the follow updates: Installed ServicePack(s) AdventNet_ManageEngine_OpManager-7.2-SP-2.0.0 [8000] AdventNet_ManageEngine_OpManager-7.2-SP-1.0.0 [7280] My new server is a OS 64bits Linux ubuntu with OpManager 8.5 installed. Opmanager custom monitor
Hi , i m using Entity-Mib cisco for to read Serial number of cisco devices and make INVENTORY report out of it . i have seen MIB works perfectly and i have created a custom monitor in Device templete under cisco catagory and it had applyed it automatically to all device under CISCO catagory. Turn off alerts to user ports
Hello, Is there a way to turn off monitoring user ports so we don't get alerts when users unplug their laptops? We are using cisco switches and everytime a person logs off or disconnects we get an alert. I really only want to be alerted when the switch or an important device such as a server have issues. Is there way to do this, we are using OpManager8 build 8051. Thanks. John
OpManager VoIP Monitor with IPSEC
Hello, I'm very new to OpManager and have a question about setting up VoIP monitor with a Cisco 2901 router and a Cisco 881W router. These Cisco devices are connected thru an IPSEC tunnel and am having trobule connecting. I can connect with no problems to 2 other sites that use Cisco 2901's but they are talking thru an MPLS network and not IPSEC tunnels. I have turned on IP SLA repsonder on all devices the same but can't get the IPSEC topology to talk to OpManager (version 8 build 8051).

Hi, Would like to refer a problem encountered in OPManager. We have been monitoring AIX servers using CLI protocol and as far as I can remember it can collect the data we need (cpu, disk, memory) but for the last 2 months we can no longer collect the data we need. Time Mis match issue.....
Hi Support, I am running OPManager 8051 I am having a time problem. My System on which I have install OPManager is having a correct time in PST. but OPManager is showing its time in ACT. Kindly guide me how to change or edit the date and time settings in OPManager. Hi, I've just installed the FREE version of OpManager 8.. In this FREE version, can I set some configuration parameters on the managed devices? Example: Can I set/change the IP address of a router in my network through this software (without being locally in the router place)? How? From which part? [Business view] Link between business view shortcuts
Hi, After some more look into business views, I cant use them as I intended to. There is no way to make links between business view shortcuts. The point was to have a map of a Building, with multiple rooms with network equipement. Each room have its own business view, since they contain multiple devices and for the sake of clarity, i dont want to add them to the "building" view. Detailed statistics / Custom Report Time
Hi, We have been looking in options for the Interfaces reports and there is something odd... Even if we keep the detailed statistics for 15 days, when we have a report (Of interface traffic analysis) older than 2 days, the data is not detailed but hourly, how can we have the detailed data shown in a report ? (we take only 24 hours by report and the data is still scaled down). Second question, How is the data archived ? Is it one point in the whole hour or an average ? Is there a way to keep the peaks

Hello, I am currently trialing OPManager DE, but should I decide not to use it, and the DE Probes be converted to Full\Trial or Free OPManager versions without losing the data and configuration that the probe has used? [Business view editor] - User interface Display name instead of Description
Hi, Setting up a few business view I stumbled on a "Wish it was different" behavior, its not a problem as it may be by design, but when creating a link between 2 devices, the drop list shows the Port Description, wich is not configurable and somewheat generic. Is there a way to have Opmanager consume more server resources on my server? I have given the server more RAM in hopes that Opmanager will run faster but it hasnt. Is there a config file somewehre that i need to modify?

In Admin->Database Maintenance->Performance Database, the value of "Detailed statistics will be maintained for the last" is accepted less than 15 days. How can I raise this value more than 15 days, such as 30 days or 60 days? Is there any xml or conf files to config that value? Or in whitch table this value is stored, that can be changed?
Op Manager 8 unable to display server disk partition info
Hi, Currently we are using Op Manager 8.I've tried to generate report by choosing: Reports>>Disk Usage by Drives >>Volumes with Least Free Space >>Volumes with Most Free Space It did display the info but not all server partition info (6-7 server partition info).Suppose it should display all 24 servers that in the server list.One more thing the report cannot capture total space and only displaying NA,able to capture free space but only for few servers.For use space and use (%)

When I add a new device, it says it is successful but never shows up anywhere. I am using Opmanager 8051 on Windows 2003 server. What can I do to correct this? I have repaired the database and restarted the server. Thanks. -Sam

Gamatronic UPS
We just puchased a Gamatronic UPS for our computer room. The system has a web interface to it, but we also have SNMP traps being sent to our OpManager server. We are getting the following SNMP traps showing up in the Opmanager trap log, but I do not know how to setup the Gamatronic for Opmanager monitoring. I did review the Opmanager UPS guide, but how do I find the OID codes? All Gamatronic states is that it's agent supports the UPS RFC1628 MIB.. Any help? This is what I get from the OpManager
Migrate to new server
We are replacing the server Opmanager currently runs on. We have it configured to connect to an external MsSQL database. The old server is Windows 2003 New server is Windows 2008R2 I have the 64bit installation downloaded. Wrong result in Availability Report for Ethernet interface
When i click the availability report from the interface "snapshot" the report is not working as it should. The report is OK for the "today" time period but shows no data if i change the time period from within the report or directly via the "7days" or "30days" link in the interface snapshot. Add a button to upload a custom icon or background in Business View
It would be really handy if there was an option to upload a custom icon and background image from the Business View Maps properties. I can accomplish this task currently by copy/pasting files to the directory on the OpManager server, but that requires Remote Desktop, which can only be accessed from my workstation. This feature would allow me to add new icons and backgrounds from any web accessible location.

Shortcut in Business View not working as expected. All shortcuts are RED - Critical.
I have made several Business View Maps of our infrastructure, which are drill-down/zoom-in type maps. On each map I have placed a shortcut to go back to the main/overview map which contains shortcuts that are linked based on traffic flow. The problem is that since I added the main/overview shortcut to every map now all of the shortcuts are Red regardless of which device actually has the critical alert. Any ideas how to resolve this?

MSSQL Database Monitor

Device placed outside of map and can't move it...
