Hi ,
Right now i m using Opmanager version 8025 ,(UPDATED FROM VERSION 7 USING SEVREL SERVICE PACK)
Intel(R)Xeon(R)CPU
E5410 @ 2.33GHz
2.33 GHz, 4.00 GB RAM
I have ongoing problem by last 1 year that opmanager stops polling like every 2 days and i see in wrapper.log the wrapper process restart to enable it to work again.
I want to resolve this problem as we need to integrate opmanager with our CMDB application and we are goint to use database from opmanager.
i have had many session with opmanager support but some how we could not able to resolve the issue ,
the error which i alwasy sees in wrapper.log file is this ::
INFO | jvm 7 | 2010/04/20 17:18:39 | Exception java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: requested 1024000 bytes for GrET* in C:/BUILD_AREA/jdk1.5.0_11/hotspotsrcsharemutiesgrowableArray.cpp. Out of swap space?
ERROR | wrapper | 2010/04/20 17:18:43 | JVM exited unexpectedly.
STATUS | wrapper | 2010/04/20 17:18:47 | Launching a JVM...
i dont know if this error is coz a bad service pack or java which is install in my machine...
so ,
1) For to get over this proble for once i am going to put brand new hardware with same operating system and with same configuration of hardware.
2) i will do back of of mysql configuration as right now i m only intrested in my configuration not historic data.
3) i will install new opmanager version 8025 from 0 without any service pack on new machine and restore mysql back up there
for doing so .? i want to know what is best practise for opmanager v 8025 for tunning Mysql database.. is it ok if i use Mysql database which comes bundeld with opmanager or i need to use externel database like MSSQL
i have licence of 1000 devices and right now i m monitoring
