Devices are not showing in Opmanager Distributed edition
Hi all
we have a strange Problem(again) in which I urgently need your assistance.
I had an similar Problem a couple of weeks ago,an my first Opmanager installation. ( Support ID 4221392 ).
The Poblem was that I could not see the discovered devices from probe location on the Central Server. On the other Side from Probe location everithing was perfect!?
I had an emotze assistance in this case from the Opmanager support , and we have decided that I should install a new Probe, witht diferent name on diferent server to see if this problem would stiil apear.
In the first installation the Central Server DB was residing on an MSSQL 2005, and the Probe DB was on mySQL. Insted of installing only a new probe I have installed the Whole thing Fresh. Only this time both Databeses are on MSSQL 2008!
The Problem now ist that I can‘t see any Device from the Probe view, I have managed to discover the devices, but I’m unable to see them in the Probe view! When I go to search I can see the listed devices. I also tried to see the Devices from Central Server view, but without result. As this Probe is installed on a remote location and the comunicatio is going over a WAN link. I have installed another Probe, this time in the same Location like the Central Server is. The Problem is the Same, from the second probe I also couldnt see any discovered Devices!
Here are some information about the Infrastructure the Opmanager is curently installed on:
Product Opmanager Distributed edition Build 7501
-Central Server Installation: windows Server 2003 32bit, R2\
-Central Server database: MS SQL 2008(Cluster)
-Browser IE8, Firefox 3.5.x
-Probe Server Installation: Windows Server 2003 32 bit, R2
-Probe Server database: MS SQL EXPRESS 2008
P:S I’m asuming that there is some DB comunnication Problem between the Probes and the Central Serever…
Could you eventualy confirm to us or deny, that Opmanager Distributed edition has Problems wit MSSQL2008\EXPRESS
I would be gratfull for any assistance in this mater!
