Data Polling SNMP Retires
I see there is an option for snmp retires for discovery, but for snmp data polling. So, is there a way to configure the snmp data polling to retry when no response is received from a device after a specified timeout period?
Error while starting OpManager on Redhat Linux
HI, i get the following error while i start the OpManager in my Linux, also when i searched in the network, in one of the link it has been specified that "StartWebSvr.sh" has to be executed which will be residing in /opt/Adventnet/ME/OpManager/apache, but i tried searching the entire disk, i couldn't find that, i found only "ShutdownWebSvr.sh", i used "ManageEngine_OpManager_6_linux.bin" the installation was perfect with no errors. Unused Switch Ports causing Alarms
Hello, I am using the purchased version of Opmanager 5 build 5006. For the past several weeks I have noticed that opmanager reports alarm conditions for several ports on two of my managed switches. These ports are NOT being used (i.e. no cable plugged into the port) Opmanager says they are "operationally down" which is fine, but why the alarms? We were informed by a vendor that OPMANAGER has the capability to stop sending email after sending out such number of emails. Where and how can we do this? as we are currently testing OPMANGER. Thanks
All service monitors show down
I am running OpManager Build 6011. Periodically, all of my service monitors (across all servers) change status to down. The only way that I've found to force them to show "clear" status again is to restart the OpManager service. There are no network changes made immediately before/after the service monitors become unavailable. Please help!
OpManager / ServiceDesk Plus Integration
Hi, I am OpManager MSP (6002), and recently installed ServiceDesk Plus 5.5. I can add SD+ as an add-on product in OpManager only if SD+ is running on http. If I switch SD+ to https, OpManager gives me an error when trying to set it up as an add on. The error is: Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high. I have all the correct information on the settings page. Also, is there a way to export the devices I am monitoring with
MIB / Trap problems
Hi, I need help. I have opmanager running with in my business, its monitoring all the servers correclty. However the SNMp traps are not working correctly. We have our own custom MIBs for our software, it sends traps if there is an error. I have imported our MIBs in to the trap processor. It has recognised the traps and set up the corresponding processors. However when I am receiving traps from the servers using our custom software; the trap processors are not processing them and they are going straight

Problem with Traffic Monitors and HP switches
We have installed OpManager build 6011 and we have found out that the Traffic Monitors does not work with our switches. When we test these monitors, OpManager says: "The Monitor did not respond to the test request". We have tried the SNMP Timeout fix but it still does not work. We used the mib browser with the OID of these monitors, and the switches return the appropriate info. The SNMP communities are OK, because all the other monitors are working. Our switches are HP Procurve 4108gl, 2650 and 2626.
I can't view graph with SSH root account, user account work
Hi all, I use OpManager, when I want to see i.e. Memory utilization graph and I use Telnet/SSH account with right password - I can't see anything. When I use user account - I can see Mem. util. graph without problems. But CPU I can not see in bots cases, same as any information about HDD. Milan

Locating switchport by IP address
I am evaluating OpUtils and I am very interested in the rouge detection and switch port mapper. I am currently using CiscoWorks LMS but this only works with Cisco products. What is the best way to locate what switchport an IP address is on? It would be nice if this information can be display when I click on it from the other menus like rouge detection. Another nice feature would be the ability to shutdown (or turn on) a switchport from the switch port mapper page. Also for some strange reason IP

Error starting Opmanager from Linux Console
Hey All, I'm having a problem when trying to start Opmanager via the Linux Command prompt without X. I am running all the required libraries but can't seem to get it running without using X. force delta calculations for a non-counter32 type OID
Is there a way to force the polling of an OID for a customGraph to do a delta calculation, even if the OID type is not counter32? Setting <saveAbsolutes>false</saveAbsolutes> does not seem to be enough.
Agent on Debian firewall

Folks, I've been tesing the apps I am interestedin, namely OpManager, ServiceDeskPlus and DeviceExpert, one by one. Now I am trying to run all of them on a single machine, and that's where I ran into a large number of problems. First, it looks like each of the apps contains a copy of httpd, tomcat, and mysql. Second, all of the apps seem to run off of the same port :8080, Third, mysql would not run if there is another version is already installed on the system. The rest of the problems I related

Device Association to Notification Profile - not retained!
Since recently upgrading from (6002?) to 6011, the way that notification profiles and device associations have changed. When i edit my email notifcation profiles; it does not reatin the Criteria of the profile. i.e. each time i edit, i have to retick the desired criteria boxes. And then on the next screen, where you assocaite the devices, all devices show in the 'not assigned' column! It does not retain the selected devices. This used to work find, i could take devices in and out of the profile.

prevent desktop and switch alarms
In the MSP edition, is it possible to prevent alarms occuring when a desktop is down? Also, I would like not to recieve alarms when a port is down on a switch. Is that possible?
OpManager is not starting
Dear Freinds, I am new to OpManager. I install OpManager on my linux machine successfully. Now when i try to run script to start OpManager a mesg appears "Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager" and it shutsown OpManager. Also i want to know how we monitor servers and how to add machines to opmanager for monitoring. Please reply soon...... Regards
Making sense of trap messages

OpManager Support Tab delay annoyance
Whenever the "Support Tab" is clicked on the OpManager MSP Central Server, there is quite a lengthy delay (several minutes) before the page is displayed. I did a little network snooping and determined that the problem is caused by the OpManager server trying to connect to the nonexistent private address 192.168.4.158 on port 80. Once that times-out and fails, then the page is rendered. I'm not sure what is causing this be behavior. This is not a big deal, but quite annoying. Anyone got any clues

OpUtils4 & SNMP
Trying to evaluate your product and need to be able to do an SNMP of a subnet and gather Chassis ID or Serial Number for cisco kit. is this possible please? I can only seem to get it to work on an IP address basiss not a subnet. Thanks Dr Matthew F Crane
