URL Monitoring and alerts
I have a number of URL monitors set up ... and they are monitoring perfectly ... except I have one question relating to the e-mail notifications for these URL monitors. Unlike the standard e-mail notification profile ... the URL monitor does not seem to have the option to define the FROM address for SMTP notifications. How can this FROM address (for SMTP notification) be changed / set on existing and new URL monitors ?
Re-usable URL monitors
Hi there, Is there any way to create *re-uableable* URL monitors? Having to add the same monitor, just with a different URL for hundreds of hosts seems way over the top. E.G We monitor whether a ASP script is running on all windows servers by querying /test.asp Currently it seems I have to define a new monitor for every single windows server. VS just defining (for example) http://$$HOSTNAME$$/test.asp and just adding that as a URL monitor. Kind regards, Leonard --
New Alarm Escalation feature - Run this check every xxx min
We want to be able to escalate a critical alarm, say a "router-down" alarm that is not responded to within 20 minutes. This is impossible when the process to check overdue responses is run hourly, at a minimum. Please consider modifying the "Run this Check every XX HOURS" so the increment is in minutes, as in "Run this check every 5 MINUTES.
Possible error in OpManagerServerClasses.jar
It looks like in the OpManagerServerClasses.jar there is a naming error as there is both a com.adventnet.me.opamnager and com.adventnet.me.opmanager in the jar file. The UPSDiscoveryFilter.class is contained within the tree that has opamnager as it's name.
Notification Log/History
There should be a feature which will help me to read all the past notifications (email, sms, commands etc) . This will help me to find out whether i have missed to attend any notifications or not.

multiple front end Opmanagers linked to same remote MYSQL DB
Is it possible to have due to large ammount of instances that are being monitored by a single Opmanager system build an environment where you have 2 or more systems running Opmanager all linked to the same exact OpmanagerDB on a seperate MYSQL server? This would be simular to what Solarwinds Orion does. I would love to have one system dedicated to autodiscovery, while another system is doing the actual polling of the systems, while possibly having a 3rd system available just for the web/java portal.
CPU utilization for SMP servers
In testing we're weeing odd behaviour for SMP servers. E.g. New Alarm Escalation feature - Use BV rather than Category
Currently Alarm Escalation is limited to grouping by Infrastructure Category. This prevents us from grouping our servers, for example, into critical and non-critical groups. Certain servers can wait until morning to be rebooted. Other servers might really need immediate attention. We could create a Business View called "Critical Servers" which could contain a list of these critical devices. Please consider using Business View rather than (or in addition to) Infrastructure Category for grouping devices

Performance Stats for Nortel Routers
I have a Nortel ASN router which does not show up under the available device types. When monitoring this router, I don't received any performance stats like CPU and/or memory utilization, or interface related stats. Is this a MIB or OID issue? Thanks!

Servers only allowed 1 NIC?
all my systems that are servers only show 1 nic listed. This is major bad. we have in cases 5 NICs in 1 system that is a SERVER. I DO NOT want to change the classification of the device from SERVER to ROUTER or SERVER to SWITCH to be able to monitor more than 1 NIC. Why did you guys make it this way?

today there are only 2 variations to a users rights, READ-ONLY of FULL-ACCESS. Can you make it to where this can be more granular. Bulk Cancellation of Monitors not working -- it used to?
I can no longer remove a monitor from a group of Routers. I just noticed this, and this is a week after applying the April 29 hotfix. Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me with OpManager 5.5 web client. Here are my problems: 1. I cannot email alerts, even though the Resource Monitor shows 2 violations of the threshold. Opmanager Switch Port Malfunctions
Attached is a Screenshot of a Switch I am managing. Note, all the interfaces show up in the main system view.. But they have no traffic data. The Configure Ports Pop-up lists no ports what-so-ever. I have tried to totally deleting this object and re-discover it and still comes back with the same port data. What is the cause and solution to this issue if any exist?

High CPU utilisation
Has anyone experienced high CPU utilization with Opsmanager 5.5 running as a service. I have installed the evaluation version on a Compaq DL380 G3 with Win2K SP4 1.4Gb memory and the process Javaservice.exe is consuming 60-80% of CPU when application is running. I thought it may have been the discovery process that was causing the issue but opsmanger has been up and running now for over a week and still high CPU utilization. :cry:

I have a WMI script that runs and gets the status of a printer connected to a server. The status code is converted from a number to a string in the WMI script. For example, if the status code = 3, then the string output is Idle. Is there a way to create a monitor that displays this string value and can send an alert if the string value = offline? Thanks
