Multiple Issues with Cisco Pix
I am currently testing this application amongst various equipment I support for multiple customers. There is the potential for me to monitor hundreds of devices. I am testing various commercial products and so far I really like OptManager. I have a short runway as to which software I end up choosing. When I add cisco pix firewall to OpManager, they are discovered properly and it appears the stats are polled correctly. When I try to view the interface statistics though I'm directed to a blank page.
Getting access denied when tying to enable all WMI monitors
I am testing the opManager 6, we are very interested in purchasing this product if it meets our needs. I am unable to get any WMI monitors to work. I have tried it on several servers and the only server that opManager seems to be able monitor is the IIS server which has opManager installed on it. I have set security in WMI control, made changes to DCOM as sugested, verified that DCOM, RPC, SNMP, WMI services are running. I am still only able to use SNMP. I thoguht it might be something with the account
StartOpManagerClient.sh asks to check hostname
Hello, on the Linux platform, trying to start the java client, via the StartOpManagerClient.sh script, a window pops up asking to check the hostname. I tried also to fill �localhost� into the advanced window but I can proceed further, I just can hit the cancel button and exit. The following is the trascript of the shell session. the data migration from 5.6 to 6.0
We are using OpManager 5.6 now. Is it possible to shift the data from OpManager5 to OpManager 6 installed freshly on other machine ?
Pop-up window sizes
Is there anyway to change the size of the window you get when you click Configure interfaces. It looks like all the pop-up windows you get to see details are hard set to a certain size. Some devices will have very long names for interfaces and it causes you to have to scroll over to click a check box. This is a big problem if you need to manage or unmanage interfaces on large routers. Right now I have to scroll over click the check box then scroll back to see the description of the next interface
Number of missed polls before notification is set
Right now we are only given 3 options on the number of polls missed before a notification is set 1, 3 or 5 polls, will you be changing that number or is there a way for me to change it. Many devices reboot before the 3 missed poll happens and if you monitor every minute then the 1 poll can cause false alerts at times.
Eventlog rules - filter out unwanted events
Hello, is there a possibility to filter iout unwanted error events, so they are not part of the notify profile? We have a server which generates several error event entries "by design" :-). So these events should be filtered out. I tried the option -Or, ignore the event- but that has not worked. Regards Thomas

Feature roadmap?
Can you all provide some insight into what features you plan on putting into OpManager in the future and I know you do not like to put a date on it but can you let us know about when you plan on putting it in.. IE what quarter of 2006 ect? If you list out a roadmap for features it will help everyone that uses OpManager because they will know what features they do and do not need to request for future rollouts. Thanks!

Can't remove resource monitors
Hello, I have problem with removing resource monitors from the list. Once when I add resource monitor I can't remove it from the list. I have to unmanage device then configure it from the beginning. Status Message when trying to view Domain Controller Systems
I am getting this message when I try to view any of the three Domain Controllers that we have in Opmanager 6. Status Message Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object : usltl2.system.usltl I can't get to them to remove them. Even when I try to readd them to the system it doesn't work. hello, On th home page, i see the top utilization (CPU...). But, when I'm going to Reports, and choose any report, i have : "No Data Available Click here for troubleshooting tips. " I shutdown the opmanager, and use RepairDB.bat, but i don't see any report... I have Opmanager 6 Build N� 6003.

OpManager Memory Utilization high
I am managing a Win2k Standard box and the memory utilization consistently says 100%. Although, when I manually check the available memory on the machine in task manager it says more than 2gb of the total 3gb memory is available. Please let me know what could be causing this. Thanks, Neil

Disabling alarms
OpManager constantly logs alarms related to the ports that are down on my switches. Since these ports are not down, there are simply no devices connected to them I would like to disable that particuar alarm and have so far not been able to find a way how to do that.
Can you set specific times for monitoring??
Is it possible or can it be made possible to change what times devices are monitored. For example for some servers we want to be able to set threshold rules for during the day activity while in the evening hours it is not so important to monitor thresholds. We want to be able to set specific times for when these monitors kick off a violation notification.
CPU utilization and backplane util for CISCO 3750
Hi! I cannot make dial meters to work for CPU and backplane util. to work. I tried to walk MIB, but there is no such OID as is requested for these two parameters. Device is: Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series Any help?

Device Name Changes
When adding a device initially it is binded by either its hostname or ip address. If the name of the host has changed and I've also made this change in device details it won't change the hostname of where it was pointing to. I've looked in admin and everywhere else, maybe I'm missing something here?

Terminal Server
Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me customize the monitoring of the eventlog on my terminal server. I would like to customize and define what to monitor, as in only the APPLICATION $ SECURITY logs, and in those logs, filter out only the errors and warnings. Basically, the monitor will send out a notification when a specific error or warning is found in the specified logs. I am not sure how to do this and your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
APC UPS - only seeing load and charge
Hi, I'm just playing with OpManager 6 and have an issue in getting values displayed for anything other than UPS Load and Charge for the device. I suspect the problem is that I am using the APC SNMP extensions supplied by the APC agent which is running on a Windows XP PC - so maybe OpManager refuses to believe the node is supplying the APC OIDs. I have already changed the Device Type to APC UPS but this did not make any difference - I assigned an additional IP address to the host node to use purely
Wrong URL clear notification
In OpManager I defined URL monitors on the server device. I added and assigned a mail notification to send mail when the URL is down. MS SQL Monitor - Cache Hit Ratio always 0.
I have the Cache Hit Ratio monitor for SQL server setup and it's always displaying as 0. If I use perfmon on that server I can see that I'm hovering around 99%. All the other SQL Monitors seem to work just fine.
Device is stuck in list, can't delete
Have a device that I think I tried to delete, now shows in the list but with no icon, red x when I click in all I get is Status Message Unable to find the object : ftp.vk7ax.ausport.net
Memory not reporting right
I have a SNMP monitor watching a dual processor server with 4GB of ram, the CPU seems to report back ok, but the memory is reporting 93% usage. When I log in to see whats going on with the server the mem usage is at less then %10 The opmanager is running on linux and the server is windows 2003
