URL Monitors Not Working
I have added 5 url monitor all but 1 show the urls as down, even though all the urls are indeed up. In fact when I click the url in opmanager it pops up the site in a small popup and displays the site to me just fine. When I edit the url and click "CHECK NOW" the following is returned: The URL http://www.nationalgpsservices.com is down, Reason : Host Unavailable. So it thinks the host is unavailable even though I know the url is up. Any ideas?
Monitoring specific process for up/down status
I don't see how to configure opManager to monitor a specific process so an alarm can be generate when the process state changes from up to down. Service monitoring is straight forward but how do you monitor a process that isn't a service ? Jerry

Problem accessing DeviceExpert configs
I have entered and verified the login info for DeviceExpert under the Add-On icon but when I go to a device and try to look at the config all I get is the login page for DeviceExpert. I can click on the routing table info and it shows it but I cannot view the startup or running configs. Any ideas?

Business Views Problems
I was delighted to see I can create and edit business views in the Web based Opmanager 7. However, there seem to be a few problems. a) Opening a map in the server based map editor seems to destroy the browser created version. Even when a save view is not triggered, this sometimes seems to occur. b) Links are so slim on the web version that it is almost impossible to reselect them to edit them. Opmanger 6 / 7 Password Requirements
Is there any way in version 6 to set password restrictions such as minimum number of characters and requiring use of a combination of upper/lower case numbers and/or special characters? For example a password like P@55w0rd? Do you offer a feature like this in V-7? Thanks.

Issues scanning for Devices on Opmanager 7
I'm having issues scanning for devices, if I search for any more than 20 ip's I get a heap load of these errors in the event log and the next page to import the devices doesn't show up. After this I am not able to import any devices unless I do it by Add Device. URL monitor - random list order
When recreating all our monitors in version 7 (the upgrade from 6 was not available at the time) I specifically added the URL's in alphabetical order. The problem I found was that OpManager seemed to insert each URL in a random position in the list after I created it. This was EXTREMELY frustrating as it took many hours to create and test each of the URLs only to find they were "jumbled up" ! I need to be able to modify the list so that it is alphabetical. please advise how this can be done. Many
DBrepair - Failure CRITICAL ISSUE
I can't access OpManager and I get the ops run dbrepair message at the logon screen. I have done this and it has had no effect. We have just purchased the licence fee so this is very very annoying. No Custom reports for business views
I would like to have a report that shows response times for ALL devices within a business view as well as availability, I have looked into the reports and custom reports and can't seem to find or create this? Regards mark
Sort the oder monitors are displayed in Device Snapshot
is it possible to sort the order the monitors for a device in snapshot view are displayed? We have several devices where we added new monitors after days and the newly added monitors belongs to other existing monitors but the new one is displayed at the end of the list.... How to Configure Switches to raise an alarm
Hello all, if i add a switch to OpManager then after the first poll there is a alarm for that device, that several ports are down. That's true :-) This Ports are not connected anywhere up to now. Our goal is: We want to be alarmed as soon as a port changes it's connect-State. Right now there is always an alarm and if we clear the alarm after next poll it's there again. If i unmanage the ports we don't use today then i will never be informed by OpManager if someone connects a device to one of this

I've setup OP 7 and it seems to be working fine. Bit slower but fine. I've integrated OPManager & Service Desk so after OP Manager detects certain issues I want monitored it will autocreate a ticket for me to work on. SNMP was not installed on my servers, so i went to the control panels and added the SNMP services and made sure they were running, but still opmanager is not being able to discover the snmp services on the servers

Port deletion problem
I have a number of Dell 3348 stackable switches. They have 48 ports each, and appear in the interfaces section as a sequence from 1 to about 200. (not totally sequencial) My problem: Opmanager 6 and 7 build 7010 I only want to monitor the downlink port and the odd important port, so I want to remove all but about 3 ports max. It is apparent, that if I try to delete too many interfaces in one operation, it fails. Get an error flag at the bottom of the page. If I rediscover the interfaces and select
APC Switched Rack PDU
we have several APC Switched Rack PDU's in use on different locations. We need to monitor this devices via OpManager. I found no Device Template for this PDU's and APC only has a PowerNet MIB File that we imported via Mib-Browser. If i choose the PowerNet Mib in Mib-Browser internet Explorer displays a warning because of a script that delayes page displaying. How can i monitor our PDU's in OpManager? Jenson

Various problems with Opmanager 7 & MSSQL
I've used Opmanager 6 in the past, but did not get out of it what I wanted. Since we still need monitoring software, I want to give Opmanager 7 a go. 1) When I discover a Class C with only switches in it, only the first switch is correctly discovered, the rest is classified as "unknown". All seems fine with the new features but i have a problem with the custom infrastructure views: For alarm escalation reason, i need to have all my servers in different infrastructure view. So i create 3 infrastructure view and call them "view1" "view2" "view3". I move my servers from the default "Servers" infrastructure views to the 3 new ones. Temp directory is Huge - OPManager 7
Hello, I just see that my TEMP directory under OPManager tree, and it is around 1,8 GB (I installed OPManager 7 to weeks ago). There are 58000 xml files (1-10 KB each). What are those XML files ? Can I delete them ? Is there any way to shrink automatically those files ? (the OPManager shutdown and re-start does not delete them) The fact is that since I 've hotfixed (7004) the OPManager (yesterday), no XML files were created. Thanks, Regards. -- Olivier
Service Monitors and Server Availabilty
Is it possible for OpManager to be configured so that the service monitors have an impact on the server availability stats. i.e. MSSQL service goes down therefore the database server availability should be down until that service is back up again.
