Port deletion problem
I have a number of Dell 3348 stackable switches. They have 48 ports each, and appear in the interfaces section as a sequence from 1 to about 200. (not totally sequencial)
My problem: Opmanager 6 and 7 build 7010
I only want to monitor the downlink port and the odd important port, so I want to remove all but about 3 ports max. It is apparent, that if I try to delete too many interfaces in one operation, it fails. Get an error flag at the bottom of the page.
If I rediscover the interfaces and select none, then untick the ports I want, there is only an ADD button, but this will do nothing, except add interfaces I had removed in small groups.
Conclusion: There is a limit to the number of lines Opmanager or Java can handle in one go. What is that limit, and can Opmanager be rewritten to group interfaces so this problem can be handled more easily.
