No more menu after upgrade from 6016 to 7010
I did the upgrade from 6016 to 7010. All went fine, no errors, but I now don't have the menu to go to other pages anymore. It's not a problem of my browser (IE6 and IE7), since your Demo does show the menu's for me. Do more people have this bug? And does anyone know what I can do about it? As you can see I am logged in with Admin. This is the user with all rights, so that should't be the problem.
No discovered devices showing up
So, I have OpManager 7, and it sees most of my devices on discovery, but when I import them nothing ever shows up in any of the maps or views. The devices show up if I click on "create new business view" but that is it. Ideas?
Opmanager and DeviceExpert
Helow, When I want to see startup or running configuration the error say : Unable to fetch from DeviceExpert. I have install device expert a run server but I can't find option to configure opmanager with DeviceExpert(if there is one?!) Tnx, Roby
Event log rule processing order
In what order does the event log rules process? Here's a scenario: * Rule 1 - Capture all events where the source is "Foo" * Rule 2 - Capture all events where the source is "Foo" and the word "access denied" in the description. If an event comes through with the source "Foo" and the word "access denied", which rule will it trigger? Thanks, Colin
firewall device information - WatchGuard
I was wondering if it was possible to add new device types to the list of devices in OPManager 7? Particularly, we use WatchGuard Firebox firewall systems in our company, but this brand is not listed anywhere in the list of available devices. Is there any way I can add a device type for WatchGuard devices? Or does anyone have this type of device template available I could just have e-mailed to me? Any help would be appreciated.
Wrong time displayed
Hi, I'm evaluating Opmanager (7010 for windows) for my company, and I've met a very annoying problem : all the events are displayed with the wrong time, there's a -7 hours offset for everything. Hi, I would like to know if the SMS Toolkit is available to purchase for the free version of OpManager ? I see in the forum that the SMS sending based on high priority item feature will be decided the scheduled version 7.0 release. Have you any date about the integration of this feature ? Multi-value monitors
When using a multi-value monitor like % Processor Utilization which value does the threshold alert based off of? For example, CPU0 and CPU1 are two CPUs, the first one running at 58%, the second at 78%. If the monitor has a threshold of 70% does it trigger? Will the second value rearm when it hits the rearm value? The graph on the main page is a bit misleading in that it only shows the last processor in the collection (CPU1 in this case). Thanks, Colin

Is there a way I can click on my routers page and view graphs for all interfaces instead of the number. Or could i also create a custom page with just graphs. Something like an interface summary

Traps with OID untraslated
Hi. I'm getting traps from routers and switches like this: Interface down : ifIndex: 3, ifDescr: FastEthernet0/1/0, ifType: 6, .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.20.3: down I have loaded the corresponding MIB (OLD-CISCO-INTERFACES-MIB), and when i get this value from the mib browser, it is translated correctly. Linking Devices using more than one interface

Deleting Database files
I have to continually remove files from program files\adventnet\me\opmanager\mysql\data\opmanagerdb\statsdatax_x_xxxx.*** almost daily in order to continue to get information. After I delete the necessary file, I restart Opmanager and it works fine for awhile. The next morning, I have to delete the file(s) all over again. Will this bug be corrected soon?
IP-Address resolution fails when client uses DHCP
I have some network-printers which use DHCP to get an IP-address. I discovered the printers and OPManager stores them in the database. whenever one of these printers is switched off nad on again, it gets another IP-address from the DHCP-server. But OPManager still uses the old IP-Address to ping the printer. So it does not respond to this address and OPManager thinks the device is down. When I manually ping the printer with OPManager, it responds immediately. So it seems, that the monitoring is done

RPC server is unavailable
Hi there, I have a server running windows 2000 SP4. From Opmanager (the same subnet with server), I could not wbemtest to that server, no matter I use the local administrator account or domain administrator account. Daily mail with diskusage % of our fileservers
Hello, We are using OpManager 6.0 build 6016, and I am looking for a way to have an e-mail sent each morning, reporting me the diskspace usage from our fileservers. These servers are Novell Netware machines. I already got the monitor running, and I also tried to get an alert running that mails me when the disk usage is over 50%. Since the disks are always >75% filled, I thought this might be a way to get me informed about the disk usage at that point. But it only mails once when that limit is exceeded,

right i am currently running a central op sever and on probe except the probe is a vmware OS is this possible because the probe installs fine but when it boots up it gets stuck on verify web server what does this mean it wont load up past this point we do run a IIS service
Solaris Disk Utilization
I have two Solaris 9 servers, which opmanager 7 reports the disk utilization of one server at the correct level and the other server is at 100%. They are both at the same OS patch level and they are running the same snmpd.conf files and the same version of net-snmp. Any suggestions?
Problems showing some pictures
Availability Distribution and Average Availability as example are not showed on the webbrowser. It is just a "red cross" there (like other pictures not showed on websites). I've tested it with different clients. Any clues how to solve thsi problem? Mike Affolter

Unable to Start OpManager as a Service
I located a copy of OpManager 6.0 on one of our servers and deleted the installation with the intention of a fresh start. Now after deleteing OpManager I get a constant error that port 80 is already in use (its not that we can find) and that OpManager cannot start as a service.
HP-UX servers problem
Hi, I have recently added true 64 servers to my opmanager7, when i click on the server from server list it opens a page that does not show the graphs of the memory and cpu and disk (that are similar to the clock), but when i click on CPU or Memory or Disk from the performance monitor i see the graph, so how i can configure it to show the graphs?
OpManager 7 -- changing alert level
I set up a threshold alert for disk space on a server. By mistake I left the level of the alert as attention. The alert was triggered, and I realised it should be at the 'Trouble' level. I deleted the alarm, and changed the threshold on the server to create a 'Trouble' alarm. However, no matter what I do the alarm comes back as 'attention'. How do I change the alarm level!
Opmanager 7 -- alert escalation
It appears that 'Attention' alarms can not be escalated. An alarm escalation can be set to run at a given number of minutes. However, that number is only 2 digits -- up to 99 minutes. I would like to escalate "attention' items that are over 24 hours old, and run that escalation once a day. Is there any way to do this?

All Disk Usage Report Shows RAM.
Starting with OpManager 7004 my disk usage PDF reports are now showing virtual/physical memory as part of the report. Obviously, they shouldn't be as this is not a disk drive - its RAM/disk cache. David.
OpManager 6 Errors
Hi All, We have been running OpManager version 6 for a number of months now and are very pleased with both the product and the level of support we receive. Having a few issues fixed now by the forums and the help desk I thought I would also post this problem as well.
