Win 2K Server - CPU Usage
Hi, Have just installed OPManager on a 30 day trial. All seems to be pretty good so far except for one niggle. We have a Win 2K Server (SP4) which is constantly reporting 98% CPU usage. Obviously this isn't correct. Any ideas? Regards Tim Felton
OpManager crashes when viewing unsolicited traps
Hi, Our OpManager instance crashes when viewing the unsolicitied traps from the Alarms - Active Alarms - Unsolicted traps. When attempting to view this page it hangs for a while then reports Error!. This takes down the entire OpManager application and requires a restart to get it working again. I have performed a DBRepair and a server restart but this issue continues. Can you please assist. Reset Passcode
Hi, I have an IPad that will not clear the passcode. This command is issued from MDM. Any suggestions how I can clear the passcode so a new passcode can be created? Thanks Heather
Free ping tool - Save IP adresses

SQL monitors attached to the wrong instance.
When I attach SQL monitors to one instance of SQL server, they also attach themselves to the default instance of SQL as well, even if the default instance is not shown when adding the monitors. It's making it very difficult to monitor the server, as the problems show up on both instances, even though they're only on one of them, and the thresholds can't be changed, as the other instance's monitor seems to overwrite the new threshold settings. File Monitor issue
Hi, I have found that the file monitor functionality is not working as expected. I have created a file monitor to check File Existence on a server. Due to the length of time it takes to copy the file to the server (it is a large file), I have set the Consecutive Times value to 2. This seems to be ignored however, and the alarm is raised immediately after the 1st polling period determines the file is missing. Calculating a percentage from two OIDS

Geo Location not working - Netflow Analyzer 8

Only reporting Outbound Traffic
We have just upgraded to version 8 proffessional and since then we only get Outbound traffic reported on most of our Cisco router interfaces. This was fine on previous version , can you please advise what I can look at to fix this. Nothing has changed on the routers at all. many thanks for any help.
Re-`install SDP Error
I am trying to install OpManager. I previously was using the free version. I ran the uninstall from the Control Panel. Now when I go to re-install OpManager I get a message saying 'do you want to uninstall opmanager?'. I reply yes, then get a message telling me that the OpManager service is being removed. The process runs to completion. I then try to run the installer again, and get a message asking me if I would like to remove Opmanager. I then get a message saying the service is being removed.
Users - Technician List - Deleting a member from site deletes from all sites
Hello, I am working with the demo SDP 8.0 beta and I have created three seperate sites and have all set as custom for their settings. In the Users - Technician list, I am able to choose association pull down menu and all are customized as they should. As soon as I say delete a technician who is in multiple sites, it deletes for all of those sites and not just for the one I have selected please help
Problem changing request templates
Hi, We've a problem when we change a request "request template" from one to another. Sometimes the request becomes uneditable, or simply doesn't change the template and frecuently the server cpu load reaches 100% without lowering until we restart SDP. Do you have any solution for this? We're using SPD 7.6.0 Build 7611 with MySQL DB
re-installing service desk plus
while i am trying to reinstall the service desk plus build 7611 i am getting the following error. "A previous version of MAnage engine Service desk plus was found in this machine...." but my mchine dosent have any version. is there any specific registry keys that needs to be removed before re-installing... any help on this is highly appreciated.....
Downtime Schedules - Last Day issue
Hi, Today I am adjusting my Downtime Schedules and have noticed an error when specifying LAST DAY within the Day Wise section of the schedules. Note: I tested this on 19/10/2010. When specifying LAST MON within the schedule and saving, the Next Scheduled date reports as 29/11/2010 rather than 25/10/2010. When specifying LAST SAT within the schedule and saving, the Next Scheduled date reports 23/10/2010 rather then 30/10/2010. Is there a fix for this issue? Thank you

Notifications not working
Hello, I have setup a some notification profiles; the first one is just normal email notification and is all the time for everything to my own mail box. The second one is from 1600 -> 0900 every day for everything; this one is an email based sms notification profile. What I am confused by is that the email notification seems to be working well each and every time...whereas the email based sms notification profile seems to pick and choose when it sends the notifications. Notification template bug
When customizing a notification template, if you pick "Requester Phone" as a variable, it adds "RequesterPhone" and not "$RequesterPhone" so the variable does not work. It's easy enough to add the $ of course, but figured you would want to know.
Preventive Maintenance
I currently have 2 PM tasks setup. When the time for the 1st one rolled around it did not run, so I changed the time from 0:00 (midnight) to 5 minutes in the future and it ran correctly. The 2nd one is scheduled to run at 0:15 on the 24th of every other month. It did not run as expected this month, but then did run at 15:15 local time. Exactly 15 hours later than I expected it to. Other requests that are entered show the correct created time based on the local time. Attached you can see screenshots
Cisco router add
When trying to add cisco router to routers, i dont know how to fill in the fields. When i access my router via telnet it asks me those only: Username: Password: then i do enable Password: What are the rest fields needed to be entered like prompt? etc. Please tell me what to enter to which field?
OpManager 8721
I'm a little disappointed in not only this version of OpManager, but what appears to be the lack of support from your staff in getting all my issues addressed. Here is a list of items I'd like addressed: 8721 has a bug that shows multiple hosts that are not virtualized because they have multiple cores in their processors. OpManager Disk Utilization Bug - No graph shown
This bug may be specific to CentOS/RHEL but never the less, there is no documentation I have found about it. Issue OpManager (8721 - or less) does not display the disk utilisation for CentOS/RHEL servers. CentOS/RHEL responds correctly as advised in http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=35701 OpManager appears to make queries (in addition to the KB article) to the OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.6.1.4 and attempt to obtain the disk capacity. This OID does not appear to be implemented in RHEL/CentOS

5 mb attachment size limit too small
In SCP the 5 MB attachment size limitation is too small, can this be increased to 15 MB please?

Opmanager Monitoring issues
We are having troubles with monitoring Interface details on Windows Server 2008 systems that run on a XEN host. We have them set up with the Citrix PV driver for their network, and can view live data, but all of the Win 2K8 servers lack any data in the "Traffic - Today", "Errors and Discards - Today" et al graphs from the Interface details. We have Win 2K3 servers running on the same XEN hosts with the Citrix PV driver for 2K3, and get graphed data for them. Thanks Jason Meyers
Conversation data not show for a time period less than 6 hours
I have an 8.5 installation of net Flow Analyzer and I can't view conversation data with a time period less than 6 hours. I work with an SQLNET db on a remote server. Any idea ? Ciao Fabio.
Netflow real time / live data
We are evaluating Netflow Analyzer. I am trying to find out if the traffic I am looking at under All Devices -> Interface View is live or real time. Or is it delayed by an hour. Because whenever I look at the time range, the end is always and hour form the current time. This also happens when we drill down into the traffic details. We need to be able to view the traffic as close to real time as possible so that we can rectify any immediate issues. Thanks.
Physical Memory% Question
I'm using your trial sw to monitor 2 AIX ervers and it always shows the physical memory in 99%. I execute svmon -G and I see that 50% of the memory is free. Each server has 11GB and 2 tomcats with 2GB each.
OpManager mtce over midnight
How do you assign mtce past midnight, OpManager insists that 00:30 is wrong it the start period is 23:00 The best you can manage is 23:00 to 23:45, then 00:00 onwards, leaving a gap of 15 mins
Outbound email from business unit displays main reply to email
I have setup the business units, the inbound emails are XXX@123.com and XXX@abc.com the inbound requests are routed to the correct business unit, however when auto replies are generated the reply/from address shows the main email XXX@123.com. So when a contact replies to the request it is routed to the wrong business unit and a new ticket is created in the main business unit. How do I get the reply to field on the different business units to display the correct reply to address? Please help ASAP

Dear all, I'm facing another problem with my ELA. I've already added 58 servers in my monitoring list but now, when I try to add another one, the webpage takes a long time, then pops a message box saying: Unable to add following hosts: Duplicate:[ITMIBB00] Where ITMIBB00 is the actual servername of the host that i'm trying to add, either netbios and DNS. We have noticed that even if we specify the sub-category in the notification parameters, it is not coming through into the SDP Call request. We are working around this by using business rules in SDP.
Patch Scanning on SBS2007
We're having an issue where all (3) the servers we are monitoring that run Windows Small Business Server 2007 are failing the Patch scan as Unsupported operating systems. Is this an expected behavior, or is there an obvious setting I need to change?
tasks: assigned group information lost when editing tasks created by a template?
Hello our version: SD+ 7611 We have request templates with defined task. In the template, the tasks are already assigned to a group, but not to a technician. When (in order to assign the task to a technicien or editing details of the task) opening one of those tasks, created by a template, the group assignment is lost. Hi, When a new Request is created (by Technician) in the web-interface with Status as Closed, SD sends a Notification message to the Requester. This happens even if "Acknowledge Requester by Email when the request is closed" is not selected in the "Helpdesk - Notification Rules". Any fix comming to this? /lakend

No incoming messages
We have stopped receiving any incoming messages in SupportCenter Plus. When testing the mail server settings, we get the error message "Email settings saved successfully. But error occurred while trying to check connection with mail server. Problem connecting to mailbox." We're using Version 7.6.0, Build 7607 on POP3, and as far as we know, no server or other settings were changed before the problem occurred. Thank you for any help you can offer.
