Is there any way to sync "Department Head" person from Active Directory ? At the moment Department Head is empty in the Departments. Fill it manually for 100 departments is not ok. Thanks ps. SD 8005.

Hi I am unable to change to default view. Pls help.
wrap description in Service Catalog
Can you please turn off wrapping in description for Services in the Service Catalog ? User can't see full description. When user choose any service, he will not see description already (there doesn't exist this field). ps. I mean User mode, when user chose Service Catalog and try to create a new service request. I took a backup from ServiceDesk which is in live environment and I want to use it in test server, but after I restore the backup the ServiceDesk won't start the serves. It just try to start again and again. Booth of them is 7.6.0 Build 7611. So how can I do it in right way?

Problem with Business view
Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with a business view. When I click it on from within Maps > Business view, I get the error message "No Infra Structure View found with this name." I try to create a new business view with the same name and it lets me save it, but I still get the error message. The business view name in question is "Charlotte". 70132 Patch - Issue
Hi, I installed the new patch, and was eager to try out the new feature "Automate Software Deployment using Pre-Defined Templates." However, when it downloaded the files, it did not place them in my selected Network Share (see attached image). My share is configured using the option "Create a Network Share."
Approving Change Requests issue
When a manager Approves a requested Change, the Change Status does not change; it stays as "Requested." I realize the approver can go to the status field and change it, but the logic should automatically change that when they click the Approve button, instead of having to switch from the Approval tab to the General tab.
Twitter Does Not Works !
Hi! I knew about that our customer can send a service request by using twitter. It's a great feature and up-to-date service, we knew. And I boast this feature here and there. ;) At the beginning, when set up SCP on our Server, the twitter works well. But from someday it didn't works... I thought it must be influenced by the Twitter's policy was changed. (API, etc, Is that right?) So I was turns to a liar. T_T Please, check this good feature works. Thanks.

Hello! In Netflow Analyzer 8.6.8600 i see dashboards with Top Protocols for last 1 hour (screenshot in attachment), 78% + 37% + 4% + 3% it's bigger than 100%. I understand why i see such statistics.

SNMPv3 Polling Stops Working
I am in the process of setting up OpManager. At first it was going fine and everything was working. After a day or two of monitoring, OpManager will no longer correctly use SNMPv3 credentials. -The same credentials and devices were working properly initially -Run snmpget from same computer using same snmp credentials and works fine -Add SNMPv2c and SNMPv1 credentials to network devices and OpManager works fine -Delete credentials and devices, then add all back and still not working -Tried RepairDB

Business rule does not apply
Hello! I have a site with only one business rule: if category of the request equals to defined category, rule must apply new request to group of specialists and set up a default specialist. Rule should apply only when creating request. The problem is: When creating request through Request Template - rule applies. When creating request through Service Catalog template - it does not apply. Other info: when i configure business rule to apply when request modified, it correctly modifies the request.
Session timeout problem, gotta login twice
I am having trouble logging on to PMP after my session has timed out. When the session times out I get thrown back to logon screen. I punch in my username/pw and I get same loginscreen with no errors, just username/pw cleared from form. Try logging on again and I get logged on just fine. This does not happen when I log on first time, and it does not happen when I log out and back in. My PMP is configured for SSL on port 7272 and I'm logging on with LDAP auth on my domain controller. ServiceDesk 8 keeps trying to start and then fails
Please can somebody have a look at this please. We cannot use the software at the moment as the service keeps trying to start but after 10 attempts fails. In the event viewer it says there my be a configuration error please check the logs. Please can someone help Thanks Martin
Duplicate Domains
We are having issue with service desk 8 duplicating our domains. It picks up both the netbios name, we'll call it "Domain", and the full domain, we'll say "FullDomain.com". The "Domain" is how it's always been detected back when we started using version 7. When we join computers to that network, that's also the way we use it. If I rename "Domain" to "FullDomain1.com", service desk will accept it but complain that name must be in a pre-windows 2000 format. Then a NEW instance is created sooner or

Business rule does not assign a request to the specific group
Hi all. I'm trying to create business rule that assigns a request to specific group and performs some other actions. E-mail notification if turned on. When a request is received, the rule is executed: I receive e-mail notification and see that all actions exept assigning request to the group are performed. However, I can assign this request to any group manually. What can be a problem? Thank you in advance.
List view for CPU's with multiple processors.
We are running build 8724. I have noticed the list view for our servers indicates showing 1-97 of 07 servers. They are not all displayed. I have to click the name column to get a reverse sort to see the last ones. I have tried to change the number shown but the last ones never are displayed. It appears that this may be associated with the multiple listings for CPU's that have multiple CPU's. Will this be fixed with the fix for the multiple listing problem?
Login as admin from user machine
Today I have started seeing a problem with loging in from my desktop machine. I enter the user name (admin) and the proper password. OpManager responds with "Please enter the user name". I can log in from the server. After a restart of the server I was able to log in, then the same thing happened latter. Please advise. Note we are waiting on a 5 user license. Hi All, Running ServiceDesk 7.5 with hotfix 7508 on a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 machine, mail is being pulled from an Exchange 2007 server (Running Windows Server 2008 x64). We are using the mailbox helpdesk@domain.com for ServiceDesk to pull emails from. This is working nicely. We used to have an old email address of tech@domain.com for general enquiries and spam from servers. We have setup forwarding on this mailbox from inside Exchange to send a copy to helpdesk@ so that tickets can be created

device template list does not show all devices
Unable to view all device templates, eg when clicking on C to search for “Cisco Catalyst 3650” the list stops at “Cisco Aitonet1242AG”. The page size is set to 500 and claims to be showing 1 to 233 items (see attached image) but the list contains only 100 items.
Missing attached file
I have found a very big problem. I start to write a reply to an issue and after a few minutes a draft will be created automatically, good. But if I attach a file before the draft is saved/created, then when I send the reply there is no file. I can see the text of the attachment but when i try to open it it says, no file found.
upgrade problem network views lost
We have upgraded opmanager from build 8030 to SP7 8720 and hotfix 8721. After the upgrade the map -> network view -> are lost. Only this text is there: No Network has been added. We have tried to rediscover a network but it is not added to the network view. How can we fix this

Hi, I installed the latest OPM 8721 for a customer. He has Extreme switches and Cisco Access Point. Is it possible to discover the network topology as the software can do with Cisco? I added an Extreme and one Cisco AP I am sure is connected to the same switch. When I try to configure the Network map it shows an error. Incomplete picklist in custom view
We created a additional request field type picklist named "Owner" with 65 items. When we create a request this field is correct usable. But when we want to make a custom view in our request and we want to select on this "Owner" field there are only 23 items selectable. We are using 8004. Closing Rules - Auto closing request/incident
Hello, We've noticed an issue with the closing rules. When the technician creates the request/incident, and resolves it at that time too, the request/incident will not close based on the Rule we have setup. (Our closing rule is setup to auto-close in 1 day). The auto-close rule seems to work fine any other time. It's just the above scenario that it will not close. The request/incident then remains in a resolved state indefinitely, until it is manually closed. We are currently on version: 8.0.0.

Hello in the last Release 7.7 you have changed the Request Template management. Why you have deleted the Solutions Field ? For our client it is convenient to have a template to definitely close a telephone call. same user ID from to different companies
Hey All, I have just purchase ServiceDesk Plus - MSP 7.5 and I am having issues with the multiple account URL access. We have two clients named for eg: Company 1: site1 and Company 2: site 2 and a user with the same user ID for site 1 and site2 i can't creat the accout for the Self-Service Portal. So if I create a requetser user ID for site 1, when I try to create a requester user ID on site 2 with the same user ID I get the following error message: FAILURE :Login with same name already exists.
Missing tab Approvals in Request
