problem sending notifications from a problem ticket
Using the latest build When I select the notification button in a problem, I cannot send the email. It seems like the smtp server being used is not the same smtp server set up in the administration>mail server>outgoing mail server settings Note that we can send email through incident tickets without any problems, just not in the problem module

Merged ticket still firing group assignment not picked, and SLA response due notifications
A technician merged a ticket into an existing one, but the newer (now merged) ticket is still sending out notifications that it has not been picked up, then that its sla response is violated. While there are a number of ways to handle notifications that would be legitimate, I don't feel this is one of them, as there is no way to access the merged ticket and supply a 'response' event or 'assignment' event to turn these notifications off. Do you have any advice? /kdl
Problem Running Powershell in Notification Profiles
Hello, i have an issue with notification profiles. I have created a "Run system command" notification profile, that failed. Bellow i detail the configuration of the notification profile: Command String: powershell.exe -c "E:\scripts\EnviaCorreo.ps1" When i push the test button, it appears "Command Executed Sucessfully", in the task manager of the opmanager server the process powershell.exe is executed, but the script isn´t executed. The scripts works propertly if i execute it from the command line
3 User Limit - User Deleted Removed - Can't add Another
Once the free version of Desktop Central MSP has 3 users created, it changes to "Upgrade your license" so that you cannot add a fourth. However, I had three users, removed one, and cannot add another. Please advise if I can get some help, or if not because I am a free user. I plan on purchasing the software at the end of the month. ADManager and Exchange 2010
We upgraded our ADM+ to the latest version in order to create accounts with mailboxes on our Exchange 2010 server. The problem is that I can't see seem to get the 2010 Exchange server to show up in ADManager. Our 2007 Exchange server shows up and we can setup templates with that server but not 2010. We are able to manage the 2010 server from the computer running ADManager by using the Exchange 2010 Console so is there something I am missing to get ADManager to work with Exchange 2010?
Does not support multi slas for differente customers in MSP - Multi Service Provider???

Interface Reporting Statistics Period
We have a problem where we can't report beyond 6 or 7 day period on traffic statistics for a specific switch interface. Is this a known issue or are we experiencing problems with our install/config? We need to have the ability to be able to assess network performance and troubleshoot related problems. We are running build 8723 thanks.
Opmanager Notification
Is there a way with Opman notifications to know which service failed each time or Monitor, and have it maintain that information in the header of the sms message? Like Opman outage: SQL server, Windows Service SQL Server, or any monitored service? Or if its a file monitor that fails have it change to that? basically have teh SMS or emails be more descriptive with out being several messages long in SMS? -Jeremy Mayfield
Problem with Reply to a Request
We are running SDP 8.0.0 Build 8010 on a Windows Server 2003 with SQL 2005 DB. Since a few Days, some of our Customers ( 5 at the Moment) cannot reply to their own Requests. AD Integration, SSO and logon to the SDP works fine, but if they press the Reply Button in a Request, the new Reply Window is coming up, but nothing happens, the Window is "blank" and flickering. Desktop Central Build 70203 Agent Install
Hello, we currently are using Build 70011 in our Desktop Central production environment. We are now testing Build 70230 in development and have run into some issues installing the agent on some PCs. The agent installs fine from Build 70011 but the error "Unable to get the agent status. Operation timed out", occurs for the same PCs when we attempt to install the agent from the new build (via SOM). Template SET and USE problem
Hello I found a problem into Template manager and use on new Request. I Have defined a Template with Group, suppreps, subject, description and Resolution in order to insert a completed Request with closed status. But in the template FORM ( Administration/ Request Template) 1) I Can’t Select or Set Account / Contact . It’s possible to set this in a template for Request ?. For example our customer have the same request template for supp reps user. And the contact in initially not defined. (

Adding a Requester...
Quick one - I've got Technicians assigned to a custom Role, which allows them to create Requesters, however this function is not available from the "Quick Actions" menu. Can I make that option available, or should it be there already?
Not properly detecting SQL Server on Virtual Device
When OpManager detected my Virtual Guests, some of them are MSSQL servers. OpManager does not however display all the counters associated with SQL Server, opting instead to display the Virtual Device counters. Is there a way to get these counters displayed? Thanks! -Chris

Opman Notification
Is there a way for Opman when sending text emails to Phones or SMS messages i think they call it, to have them all appear in on thread for a single issue, like the trouble and clear all be in one thread vs having separate? Total record number when viewing report differs after exporting report
Running SDP build 8008 I run a report on our survey and get total records 74 However when I choose to export to excel and open the excel file it now says total records 134
Bogus Domains in Login
Ever since we've re-established our link to AD (AD Authentication is on, Pass-through is off), the login screen has two additional domains listed that we do not use. in addition, there is no "local" option for those requestors without a domain to use. HTTP Status 500
I have installed NetFlow on my linux server under root and it looks like it is collecting successfully. I can log into the app using http://[IP]:8080 and when I click on the "One Min Graph" on the Interface View then there is a Java error shown below. Also when I click IfIndex# interface nothing is displayed. Ajax error in Asset tab
Hi, We have little less than 2000 asset registered at the moment and we'd like to add more but an annoying problem is getting in the way. When we click on any link within the Asset tab (like for instance "Workstation(s)/Server(s) Detected") i get the following error in a popup window: Error while fetching ajax response : Component returned failure code: 0x80040111 (NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE) [nsIXMLHttpRequest.statusText] This happens using Mozilla Firefox and has been replicated on multiple computers.
Evaluation of DeviceExpert is rocky so far
So far in our evaluation we are seeing lots of problems with the backup scripts not grabbing the correct files from various devices including F5 BigIP and Checkpoint Firewalls. On the F5, you are looking for a file that does not exist and on the Checkpoint you are backing up a single file that is not complete enough to restore a failed firewall. Is there a way to directly access the config scripts to fix them?
Firmware Version OS Version of HP Procurve do not update

Network problem on DC Server
Hello! I have this kind of strange problem on the pc/server I am running Desktop Central on. Every night/evening i shut down the network. And yes it is the DC that is the problem because if i stop the service and kill the DC process it runs fine. So what i have to do now is to restart every morning and its is not so good because i run some other programs on it that i want to have running all the time... The computer is a regular pc with W7 Prof on Anybody has a idea on what to do???
Patch Scan does not reflect applied patches accurately??
Machines to which patches are applied are rescanned and still showing that the patches need to be applied? Any clues why this would be happenning? I thought it might be because the patches were irrelevant (ex. Office 2010 when we only run 2007) but it was happening with windows updates as well. Anyone else experiencing this problem? hi i am having a problem when i am trying to upgrade servicedesk plus from Build 8007 to Build 8010 the problem is that when i import the ppm file from the updatemanager.bat the prosses immediately stops and then a message appeard :"error occuerd" without telling the reason of this error so please assist me with this problem urgently and thanks in advance regards
Windows 7: Asset Scan does not work
Hi, I changed for testing my computer from Windows XP to Windows 7. Since this moment, the asset scan does not work any more and reports back DCOM problems. I have tried moreless everything which is posted in the forums, but it seams that no one is using Win7 with Service Desk Asset scan yet. Dos anyone has an idea, why the scan does not get through? by the way, manual scanning does work and reports it's result back to the SD-Server. Kind regards Thomas
Attachment not properly saved
I tested the 7704 build but the following bug, reported as fixed on 7702 it is not. SC-5937 While saving the drafts, attachments are not getting saved properly. When a reply with attachment is saved manually or automatically the attachment is deleted (you can see the file icon with 0Kb size) and most important, when the reply is sent the file in attachment is not present. Please fix this as soon as possible. Is it possible to disable the autosave function?
Tasks and ServiceCatalog
We are planning to use the ServiceCatalog. In the workflow tasks are a major element. A bug found is that in these tasks the field GROUP is available but the selectionlist is EMPTY The list technicians is normaly filled. When creating a task in a normal request those groups can be correctly found. We are using 8004 in production and 8005 in test. Can you please correct this in the next release? Because this is absolutely necessarily needed before we can use the ServiceCatalog. Best regards Mark
New Request Received Notification Issue
Yesterday we upgraded from version 8005 to 8007. Since the upgrade, email notifications for new requests are not being sent. We use the Notification Rule “Alert group members by e-mail when a new request is added to the group”. On all of our Incident Templates, the group is hard-set and the requestors cannot change it. Reply template is blank
We're running version 8008. One of the recent updates (not sure if it was 8007 or slightly earlier) has created a problem where intermittently the "Mail to Requester" comes up blank for some tickets. (See attachments.) There are not a lot of tickets affected by this, however those that are affected have this problem every time you try to reply to the ticket. This is a Windows install to the default MySQL database. Any suggestions? Thanks, James

Hello We have Servicedesk Plus and Desktop Center installed on the same server. If I now login on both program with the same browser I can loose my "login session". Perhaps some cookies problem, all programs points to the same server with different ports. //Peter
Index folder using almost 80% of disk.
The EventLog Analyzer is build number 6020. The Index folder is taking a lot of disk space and doesn't clear itself. What do we need to do. The settings are to keep 60 days data but it has kept cold indexes from August 2010 as well. Please advise asap.

Custom Field Default via E-Mail Generated Ticket
Hi, We just upgraded to SDP 8.0.4, and are having an issue with a custom field when a ticket is generated via e-mail. When an e-mail ticket is received, our custom field "building" (which is a pick list) is set to "0," which is not one of the available selections. In previous versions (7.6 and older), it would simply remain unset since the e-mail did not contain this info. We have another custom field that's a single line, and this remains blank as expected. ServiceDesk Plus Mail Fetch Stops every day
Hi, Our mail fetching (via pop to our exchange) stops each day at around lunch time, anything after 11am really. stopping and starting the mail fetcher doesn't help so we have to restart the servicedesk service, which is scheduled every day before start of business. We would like to resolve this as no emails are picked up in the afternoon until the next day. I have attached logs from today after the mail fetch stopped working. thanks
