1067 error on service start
after a reboot the service will no longer start i have tryed starting from command line the port 7080 is not being used by anything else any ideas?
Getting logged out of ServiceDesk Plus after I installed Desktop Central
I just installed Desktop Central on the same server as our ServiceDesk Plus server. Using the latest version of both products. About every five minutes, I get logged out of SDP, but I remain logged in DC. Is this a bug or do I have something configured incorrectly? SDP uses port 8080 and DC uses 8020. Both use regular http. New Business view stuck at "Initializing Business View"

Can not add 1 ESX server
Good afternoon. We have 4 ESX servers. At all the same credentials. 3 ESX servers added with no problems in the monitoring system (OpManager, Build 8811). After adding a fourth server I get a notice that it is successfully added, but not on the list. Can you please tell how can I fix it?

When creating an user with ADManager the Email-Address-Policy shall be used. It is used, but not correctly. Our adresses should look like: "%givenName%.%sn%@domain.com", but using the Bulk-User Creation the addresses on our exchange are assigned without the dot "%givenName%%sn%@domain.com". At the moment we have to turn the "EmailAddressPolicyEnabled" flag for every new user off an on again to get the right mailaddresses. Using the single-User creation everything works fine. Switch Interface shows 0% availability even though its up and showing traffic
I've got a Cisco Catalyst 2960 switch where some of the interfaces show as down when they are not. All of the traffic graphs show traffic (and the user is working fine) but the availability graph shows 0%. Other interfaces on this same switch work fine. Only one JMX Applications Monitor can be created
I try to create 2 JMX Applications Monitors for 2 Java processes running on a Linux server. Both Java processes are registered with the JNDI server on the Linux server (port 1099) with 2 different JNDI names. number of logoffs or log ons incorrect in report
Hi, I am using event log analyzer 6020 . When I generate a report for log offs or log ons. It says in the report window showing 1 to 10 of 608xxx when there are really only 200 for example. So when I generate a PDF report for our SOX records. Is this fixed in version 7? thanks

SLA planned downtime
Hi, We're trying to use the SLA report but having some issues because the SLA includes Planned Downtime as actual downtime. For example if we schedule planned downtime for 2 hours maintenance, our SLA would not count this as downtime as we would schedule this with the business. The SLA Report in Applications Manager would show that we've breeched our SLA even though this was planned maintenance. Also, can we make the SLA apply to only certain business hours? Thanks, James
Migration from MySQL to MSSQL
I've tried to migrate my ServiceDesk+ from MySQL to MSSQL. I've backuped the database, changed the database type and then tried to restore the database from the backup. The restore didn't work because of duplicate entries (see attachment). What went wrong? Chris

Hi. Can I to change the text format in the messages I send from ServiceDesk? My user complain about the text. It looks like a "notepad" and it's difficult to read (no formatted and without spaces). The messages we get into the system are "HTML" formatted but when replying, it turns into simple text. Any ideas?
OpManager failed to start

SLA layout changes
Hello, Is there a way for us to change the layout of the server SLA report? Currently it runs onto 2 pages Can we remove/resize some columns - currently some server names are forced onto 2 lines because there's not enough space Can we hide servers not covered by our SLA? (dev servers are not covered but still show up in the report) Can we hide the pie chart section at the top of the report? We're having an issue sorting by the SLA Name column - when we click on it not all items seem to be sorted

cc field in replies are populated when they shouldnt be.
I am having the same issue as another poster: Users can create requests via mail, works fine. they send to it-servicedesk@. Problem: When technician wants to reply in servicedesk the cc-field says it-servicedesk@.. How do i prevent this to happen..?? Kinda big problem because.. mailfilter catches mail ad sends back to servicedesk witch creates a new request.. All the information in the mail settings are in lower case. The wildcard search does not seem to work when the wildcard is in first position. For example: Searching for contact "John Doe" Jo* => result is ok *Doe => no results Can this be fixed so that wildcards can be used in the first position? Thanks!
Request Templates - Contact View
On the Contact View in Request Templates, I want to specify the Group field, but have it pre-set and hidden from the Contact so that when they create the request the Group is already assgined for them. Hi DC, I have a problem: I tested a "message box" type configuration, programming it to be run at each login on a specific machine. It works perfectly. My problem is that I deleted the configuration that created this message box and now that I create a new configuration that is supposed to undo all message box, it fails saying that there is no pop-up window programmed (but in fact, the window clearly appears at each login...). Historical reports not working
Hello, We have latest OpManager 8011 running on SQL Server 2008 R2. We recently discovered that historical reports are not working. We had a problem with database running out of space, but OpManager did not complain. The problem with database was recovere one week ago, still not even same day data is being reported. Checking the database tables, we see STATSDATA<date>, ElementAvailabilityDaily and Hourly all full of data. Appreciate help on seeing what is wrong. Thank, Jalal

Hi there, I´m running OPmanager 8 and all of a sudden it does not work, can´t log in saying Oops .... run RepairDB.bat to... but that doesnt work either. I´m also running McAfee on all our servers and it seems that the McAfee client is doing something with the OPmanager server... I stop the McAfee, close the server, runs RepairDB.bat, starts the server and it is all working again.. Hello I have installed the NCM Plugin (trial version) in my Opmanager 8. (build 8811). Installation was OK. Saving New reports
When saving a newly created report and choosing the number report folder to save to, we do not get a full list of folders. I only get 24 folders to choose from. After saving this report, if I then save it again (ie create a copy) and go to the report folder drop down I get a full list of my report folders along with a scroll bar on the drop down. Please can this be resolved ASAP as it is making it difficult for our users to create new reports.
Parsing e-mail's from some web-mail services

If I try to create a custom view to filter service requests, once I save the view and select the new view, IE goes into an endless loop and does not display any data. date format does not update
If a user selects "Personalize" and selects a new date format the following happens when save is clicked: The date format on the Personalize dialog is changed and saved and a "success" message displayed The dialog does not close. Constantly unable to remotecly connect to workstations...
We're running v8 build 8013. It seems like we're constantly having problems connecting to workstations when trying to remote control then. All of our workstations are using v1.05 of the agent. It seems 2 out of 5 attempts results in a failure. If we try the machine a few days later, we can usually reconnect to it. Hi All, Recently installed NetFlow Manager (64bit - linux) - and it all is nice and well. We have noticed however that since running NetFlow Manager, that it is starting an huge amount of java processes, and they never seem to be killed. As the attached graph indicated, we litterally have a linear growth in process count, and they never seem to be killed at all. Service Desk + - Preventive Maintenance tasks fail to start
Hi there, We migrated our SD+ 7.5 build from a win2003 server to SD+ 8.0.0.8 on a win2008 SR2, and since then have noticed that the preventive maintenance tasks fail to run unless the SD service has been stopped and restarted. We've had a look at the serverout logs to find what actually happens at those scheduled times but cant see anything out of the ordinary, apart from the fact that theres no entry for those tasks.
