Hi~ I use the AdventNet 5.0 , there has a folder to full disk of server C:\AdventNet\ME\Firewall\server\default\records Could i clear the files in the folder ,or not?
Cannot Delete Groups.
Version 7602 Test environment. Trying to reconfigure how our groups are laid out. Prior to the introduction of sites in SDP we had to create groups corresponding to each site and assign technicians accordingly. i.e. Support - Site1 Support - Site2 Now since Sites have been introduced to SDP the result looks something like this: Support - Site1, Site1 Support - Siet1, Site2 Support - Site2, Site1 Support - Site2, Site2 As you can see this can be administrator hell when trying to assign technicians

Alert - New build will create a huge cpu load - Support Center - v7905
We upgraded 3 environments to version 7905 and both windows and linux exhibit a huge cpu load which brought our 8 cpu system to the ground. We can only support 50 users or less. Please be advised. Do not upgrade to 7905!
expired warranty
I have 164 computer(s) with expired warranty. It's false But I'am unable to change shipping date (shipping date take the date when desktopmanager is installed, it's not the true shipping date). If I can change shipping date and configure the default warranty time (1 year), it will be awesome.
Service HelpDesk 8.0 executable is currapt
Service Help Desk 8.0 trial does not work. I download the Installation EXE file but when trying to install it, it throws 'The contet of this file cannot be unpaced. The executable that you are attempting to run is currpted. I tried downloading file 3 times and got the same error. Can you please provide the working executable?
Migrating to SQL Desktop Central 8
There is an issue with the mysql_mssql_restore.bat file when trying to restore the DB when migrating to MS SQL. The bat file is trying to reference %Java_Home% and %Server_Home%, but the variables are not set in the batch file which will return directory does not exist errors when trying to run the batch file. I added the line 'call .\setCommonEnv.bat' into the batch file, which sets the variables. This line is present in the batch file to backup the database 'mysql_mssql_backup.bat', but missing

Threshold Value issue on opmanager
We have added our wireless device on OpManager for monitoring in that we have set threshold value 90% to send alarm and re-alarm value as 85%, but I am getting alert for 30% for same interface Below are the snapshots. I have searched almost all the options but couldn’t find the settings, I am randomly getting similar alarms for few server’s , VM Device’s & Wireless Device’s. Please let me know the solution. Problem with Support Centre changing the due by dates
Hi. We have noticed that when we change a complaint from the request status "On hold" to "Open", or from "Resolved" to "Closed" the system changes the response due by dates. For the latter it does not matter, but the former may cause us to breach an SLA. To attempt to identify the problem we have tried a number of accounts, some do not change and others have changed by anything from 45 minutes to 9 days. Is this a bug or a feature I can configure? Remote Control Blue Screen
When initiating a remote control session through SDP it starts up, give the prompt on the remote machine and when accepted a pop up states that I'm now controlling the remote PC !. The issue is that the screen is completely blue and I have no control over the remote machine. We are currently running SDP 8.0.0 Build 8013 using IE 8 and Firefox 3.6.25. Fire fox 8 states the add-on downloaded appears to be corrupt. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Pass through authentication fails
I have an occasional issues where Pass through Authentication fails. A user will go to the Service Desk URL and is prompted for a password, closing all browser windows and going back to the Service Desk URL will then pass through correctly most of the time. However, some users will need to to log out of XP and back in to be able to pass through correctly. Entering domain logon credentials doesn't work either. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

Import AD user groups in PMP
I'm using PMP and it works allmost ok. I have an sceduled AD syncronization with the AD on 1 group. Now i need to do a bit more like syncronizing a group with 12 subgroups - each having subgroups within.That does not seem to possible. How come? Further more it seems it is only posible to have one syncronization job sceduled. Is that right. If not I would like to know how to scedule - lets say 5 syncronization jobs? SED

Allow only one user to export passwords
I want only one user to be able to export passwords. Other users are allowed to run an export, but with the passwords hidden. I've deselected the 'Include passwords...' option in 'General Options'. Then I've created a group with only this specific account in it. I then edit the settings of the group, and select the 'Include passwords...' and save. However the option gets disabled automatically again, thus not allowing that one account to export the passwords. How can I allow only one or two people

UUID Error when adding multiple ESXi Servers to VMware Add-On
Hello, We use the Dell C6100 Servers. They are basically 4 Servers in one 2u Chassis. When adding each "sled" into OPM (VMware Addon), I can only add the first "sled". All subsequent sleds get the error below: UUID of ESX Host HOSTNAME matches with UUID of already existing ESX Host HOSTNAME. Any ideas why? There aren't any duplicate servers involved.

ELA causes high RAM usage on Domain Controller ( Win Server 2008 )
When I add My Domain Conrollers ( On Win server 2008 ) in ELA console for collecting Event Log from them, RAM Usage of Domain Controllers goes up and continue stays up forever . I have just this problem on Win Server 2008 DC, I didn't have such a problem on Win server 2003 DC !!

No action on SNMP trap lisner
I have created an SNMP trap lisner in Appl Manager. (The OID i'm lisning for is .1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.159.201.1.3.1 - an IBM Director test trap). I have also created an action: sending an mail to myself. When i test this action i get an e-mail, so it works ! In the SNMP trap lisner have i associated the mail action. But when i send the SNMP trap from my IBM Director, the (email)action NOT executed. I know i receive the trap correctly, because i can see the trap in the alarm page as an "Configured trap".
under linux, enabling https(ssl) and using port 443 is broken
Hi, I initially installed OpManager on a linux box using normal http (port 80). Afterwards, I decided to enable ssl. Following the instruction I did the following: ssl_gen.sh -f Enable At this point, I expected the url https://opmanager.xyz.com/ to immediately work. Notice this is over 443. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I then point the browser to https://opmanager.xyz.com:80/ and that worked. Notice I am using port 80 for https traffic. Due date problem: Merge requests
Hi, When we merge a request that both have a due date with for example: 11-12-09 8:00 and 11-12-09 10:30 the due date changes to 53-12-09 So the year is a bit much as you can see, we have this with every ticket we merge. email notification profile test fail
Hi, I was able to setup mail server settings to use smtp.gmail.com. I then tried to setup the email notification profile. However, "Test Actions" fail while executing send email action. Please see the attached screen capture. The left side of the screen capture show that I was able to successfully test mail server settings (I verified receiving the test email). The right side of screen capture showed the email notification profile test failed.
Replication to DC DS
It seams that replication between the main DC server and one of the DS is not working. The DS is connected to the central location through a VPN. The folder C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_DistributionServer\replication\store is empty! How can I discover if there is a communication problem? under linux the ShutDownOpManager.sh require X11
This is an issue on Linux. Both the installation script and startup script works fine without X11. However, the shutdown script require X11. There is no reason for this requirement and most production Linux boxes don't for X. I had to manually kill the server. apply template doesn't work under the following use case
1. discover a new device 2. suppose for whatever reason, OpManager manager is unable to categorize the device 3. manually categorize device (let's say Windows 2008) 4. modify device template for Windows 2008 5. apply Windows 2008 to new device. At this point, the apply operation doesn't work. The new device does not get any of the monitors from the device template. There is no error reported either.
