error/bug when importing from AD - user gets overwritten
Running SDP V8212 (Windows with mysql) I have a technician John Doe with email john.doe@mydomain.com There is a second Active Directory account called HD_JohnD with email john.doe@mydomain.com each time we do an import from active directory, the technician "John Doe" is changed to "HD_JohnD. How can I prevent this? This is messing up our business rules. Wayne

When using variables in email, im getting the wrong info returned. "Personalize" not working in 9.0
Upgraded to 9.0 Build 9002. We use the "Personalize" option to add our names to the requests when we reply, and they are not being added since the update.
"Subcategory" not sorting
Using IE 10, we do not have the "Subcategory" option sorted alphabetically. This makes it difficult to find the correct entry. It was sorting okay in IE 8 and 9. We do not have the option to use another browser.
Server not starting
We have stopped receiving logs from our configured servers, and when I check the services on the server running EventLog Analyzer, I can see that the ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer service is stopped. If I try to start the server by running ManageEngine\EventLog\bin\run.bat I get an error stating, "Unclean shutdown of previous run. Failed to start the server. Please refer logs for more details." I'm not sure which logs I should be looking at to troubleshoot this effectively. Any help is appreciated.

Sorting search results clears results
Hi, I have just been searching through our system (Requests, Contacts, Solutions and Archived Requests ticked) and, because there were more than 5 Requests found matching my search criteria, I changed the sort results by option to Last Updated - Latest First. Unforunately, in doing so, all of my results (Archived Requests aside) disappear! Annoyingly, if I click either of the search buttons again, the sort results by goes back to its default of Relevance. Problems with Landing Servers
Hi ! Did somebody have success with the new 7.0 feature, landing servers, with telnet? Indeed, I have several problems with simple 1 hop setups : - in some cases, it logs in, and immediately, the screen is cleared and gets stuck with the line "authenticated to my_landing_server". - or I got the shell prompt, but when I type 'exit', then again the screen is cleared and gets stuck with the line "authenticated to my_landing_server". Attachment with two consecutive spaces in filename are not forwarded with IE
Hey there, we encountered a problem in a rather special constellation. If a request comes in with an attachment that has 2 consecutive spaces in the filename, it cannot be forwarded with Internet Explorer. The forwarded mail does not include the file, the conversation shows the attachments but clicking on them opens an empty file. The database entry shows that the "new" filename only has a single space. the file created in the fileAttachments/conversations-folder has size of 0kb and has a single-space

HyperV guest discovery failed after update to 11.1
Hi, I recently upgraded to the version 11.1 of OpManager successfully. Everything seemed ok but I noticed a day or two later that it isn't picking up any of the guests on our HyperV servers. I have tried rediscovering and deleting and re-adding but none of these have made a difference. VMware hosts are still working fine.
Mail fetch no longer working
Mail fetch is no longer working since upgrading to 9000 I can stop and start the mail fetcher and it verifies the mail server connection and says it is successful, but it does not attempt to fetch any mail. If I restart the server, it does one mail fetch successfully and does not do anymore. Please help!
network scan returns ip adres
When i'm running a network scan to discover new- and scan existing printers. The asset name shows up as a ip-adres, but i want the hostname from the printer as an asset name. Even the printers who are already in SD are also shown their asset names as ip adres and hostname, so then there are 2 of the same printer in SD. I have the Service Desk Plus and requestors are loaded into the software via the active directory. However when a user is deleted from the active directory it does not remove them from the Service Desk Plus requestor list. IS there a fix for this problem?

Java heap Space out of memory - unable to upgrade, or back up our database

Problem after upgrade can't rollback to 8217
Hello The Problem started when I tried to migrate to version 9.0. Upgrade ended up with an error and i could not run the application. I had to go back to version 8217. I have uninstalled Service Desk from the server, I changed the name of the directory, I downloaded version 8217. After installing I and logged in as an administrator. ME MDM Does not download or accept MDM Server Name
Hi, We have recently configured MDM for Desktop Central. I can enrol a device either by email or auto enrolment fine without any problems. The app catalogue downloads onto the phone and information is passed back to the console with no problem. When we push the ME MDM app via the App catalogue the app downloads but does not populate any of the server, port or email fields. More importantly when I try to manually enter these details I get a warning stating "Error You are not authenticated

I have ServiceDesk Plus installed on a Windows 2008 STD Sp1 server with a SQL Server 2008 R2 back end. the version on ServiceDesk is: 8.2.0 Build 8208. Bluescreen failure when USB is blocked
Hello We have 160 Windows 7 and 150 Windows 8 ( 10x Windows 8.1 ) Clients and the software deployment works very well. Now we would like to deploy the usb security on user and client sites. With Windows 7 it works good, but on Windows 8 (8.1) Clients after reboot or deploying it shows a bluescreen (sad smily) with no error message or code. "Password is in sync" when the target is not in the DNS
Hi, We are using PMP build 6903 (also tested with PMP 7000) and I found a very annoying bug: Password verification with a non existent DNS name always succeed How to reproduce: 1- setup a linux or solaris resource. 2- setup password sync 3- check that passwords are in sync 4- NOW, edit the DNS Name of the resource and put something that is not in the DNS 5- start a 'verify password' 6- => Bug: PMP says that password are in sync, but it has not actually checked, since connection was impossible.
The search function in the reports does not work
I am on the latest version of ADSelf-Service 5041. For some reason searching in any of the field in any report always returns nothing. The report itself is populated, such that users are shown and I can export, but when I use the 'Quick Search' it doesn't return any data, even if it matches the users shown just below. Update Vulnerability DB fails
I had to fall back to a backup of our Desktop Central server, version 80001 (July 2012). I applied successive service packs and releases to bring it back up to version 80262, and I reapplied the new license file so that it's registered through July 2014. Unable to deploy software using delayed deployment
Hi, Build 80347. As soon as I tick "install after" and fill in a date/time I am unable to click Deploy, Deploy Immediately or Save as draft on a software deployment configuration. SLA based in Service Category does not works!!
Hi Friends I have a question for you. At this time, We have installed SDP V 9.0, and we are trying to organize all the workflows and services. We have a Service Category named Applications, but when we try creating a SLA based in Service Category, the associated request don't has a SLA assigned. How can we fixing it? Upgraded from 8.1 to 9.0, still stuck at max 2 technicians
We performed an upgrade of the free version of ServiceDesk Plus 8.2 with a max of 2 technicians, installing 6 service packs to bring us up to version 9.0. The purpose of the upgrade was to increase the max technicians from 2 to 5. After the upgrade, the software still shows a license for 2 technicians, and when trying to add a 3rd technician, the software does not allow it. How do we get the maximum to bump up to 5 technicians? Thank you.

Software Repository: Invalid location: Access is denied.
Hi Guys, I'm trying to change the software repository location to network share, but I'm getting "Invalid location: Access is denied". Network share has "Read" permission for Everyone. However, if I change Everyone permissions to Full Control then it works fine. I've even tried giving Full Control to Domain Users but still no success. Only Everyone with Full Control works fine. Issue with Request Closing Rules and Worklog ticked
We set the WorkLog mandatory in Request Closing Rules for incidents, so that our technician HAVE to document the work that they have performed. Often, a request will include 1 or more tasks, and technicians will create worklogs associated with those tasks. The system does not recognize worklogs that are assigned to tasks within a request and will deny the close attempt by a technician, telling him that no worklog exists. As a workaround, in those situations, the technician has to create a dummy worklog

I have scanned a server and chosen to deploy updates. When trying to apply the configuration (or even add another target) I get the following error: "Exception occurred while processing the validateTarget !!!!"
