New Skype Update not showing up in Desktop Central
It looks like there's a new skype release that has been out since the beginning of the month, version 7.2.32.103. The patch management database in Desktop Central is still on 7.2.0.103. When will it be updated? Thanks Sam

Automate Patch Deployment doesn't wake up PCs
I have an automate patch deployment task which uses this deployment policy: http://screencast.com/t/SUszXEHIVhr As you can see, this task should wake up the PCs. But it doesn't. We can wake up the PCs manually from MEDC, so this is not the issue. Do we have a configuration problem? (we are still evaluating, so bear with us).

What is the recommended procedure to update outdated/vulnerable Desktop Central components?

I have a batch file (cmd) I would like to run before running a custom install. I've tried a few different methods but can't get it to run the file. It already exists on the target. Just need to run it (creates a backup)... Any idea's? Thanks,
Trying to deploy a file/folder operation configuration
Hello, I just upgraded from build 90066 to 90135 yesterday. I am trying to deploy a new File/Folder Operation Configuration by computer as I've always done and am now getting a prompt for a password with my user name showing. I entered it and nothing seems to be happening. What's going on here? Is there a new setting that I am unaware of in build 90135 or is this a bug? Thanks, Eric

Remote site agent install
Hi Is it possible to push out the DC9 agent to a remote site without user intervention? We have a number of sites that we don't have remote control access to the pc's (Win7Pro). Sites are small (<5 machines and in workgroup mode) , users do not have local admin rights. IP addresses are known so is a local admin account password. Vulnerability DB not getting Windows Patches - No Errors
I setup a new server to help speed up patching on reinstalls of windows, and to add some custom settings to refurbished PCs. I then restored another server onto this install (it already had the custom settings I wanted), deleted all clients and remote sites not needed. Windows 7 Stopping Services
Hi, Since deploying the desktop central agent across our desktops we have noticed that our Windows 7 machines now take forever to shutdown because they say "Stopping Services". This doesn't happen on Windows 8 machines or Windows 7 machines that don't have the agent. When the agent is removed, shutdown time is normal. Please advise and assist. Regards

DC MSP - change server ip address

Patch Management Automated scan
I am having two issues with Desktop Central Automated Patch Scan. 1) I can not seem to create an automated windows patch scan from any other machine except the server where DC sits. Anytime I try to add computers to the list of targets, I get a message that Desktop Central is not reachable. The XP system is telling me that an update to the MSRT tool (KB 890830) is available. Unfortunately, Desktop Central is telling me that no patches are available for this system. I understand most of the possible status labels, but I'm unclear about a couple of things. Yet to Apply- Sometimes a patch (or patches) are show this status but there is no obvious reason why the patch is not installing. the computer is found on the network and has responded to a Patch Scan from Desktop Central. Remote Shutdown - Skip Button
I have a remote shutdown scheduled each day at 5 PM. Most people are gone by then, but occasionally a few people work late. I have a 1 minute delay set up so they have time to save their work after they are advised of the shutdown. Could you incorporate a "skip" button into the message so they can skip the shutdown manually? I use the "shutdown -a" command when I need to skip the shutdown on my computer, but a button would be easier for the typical user.

Desktop Central encountered a problem while performing Restore.
I am trying to move my desktop central DB using the instructions in the following article: http://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/moving-mssql-database-to-different-location-how-to.html When I get to step 2 of the restore, I keep getting the error 'Internal Application Error. Deployment message
When I push a Windows package I can set my deployment policy to Notify users about deployment or not and I can customize the message if I choose to notify. When I create a configuration and set the Package settings / install options to Run as a user, the package is deployed with the deployment policy along with or without Notifying the users about deployment, but then a second notification window is displayed with generic message about New Software is Available, "Desktop Central has been configured
Configurations
Do configurations have a time out period? After so long do they stop working? I don't think this should be the case but I had some machines that were in a configuration for about a month and didn't update. When I setup a configuration and pushed the software to the machine again it worked within minutes.

Hello, Under Software Deployment -> Patch Scan, clicking on each machine provides three tabs: Applications, Missing Patches, and Installed Patches. For some reason, the TeamViewer application is not listed under the Applications tab. Lost remote control function after update
Hi, I updated to the latest build last night and have lost a bit of functionality. If you are looking at a list of computers or searching for one by name you normally can click the little icon with the computer on where you get your list of actions like "patch scan, "inventory scan" "chat" etc.. Well now when you click on the remote control button this does nothing. It just does nothing! If you click tools, remote control and then press connect this works as expected and launches the remote connect.
Understand which user approved a patch
Hi, the customer configured DC to apply only manually approved patch. The problem is that two Java patch became approved and caused some issue. The customer would like to know which user approved those two patches. Is it possible? Regards

Any planned updates for Security Configurations?
In looking through the list of available options in the Security Configurations, it seems the list is is fairly limited compared to the full options that are available through Group Policy. Are there any plans to update this feature with more options, especially related to some of the new features in Windows 8/8.1? Currently I don't see anything related to locking down the Start Screen or Metro application access. Thanks.
