Hello, Every time I try to deploy one of the msi software, it fail and the remarks would say. Could not connect the share from the client computer : The specified network password is not correct. The problem is that I tried deploying with EXE and it would work perfectly. Thanks

I configured this alert a user. Now I want to take it off but also erasing the configuration under the configuration tab the user continues to see the alert. It ' very angry . Can someone explain what "Retry in progress" means is when patch job is submitted. This particular job is sitting in that particular state since yesterday. I tried restarting server in question but no go. Patch remarks are having "The Stub received bad data". What should be my next move?

Hello, Firstly I am posting this in the closest forum I can find to Desktop Central, as there isn't the option for it in the forum selection menu. So hopefully a nice mod will move this to the Desktop Central forum. We have set up multiple remote offices based on IP scope. We have a server that has 2 NICs, and so 2 IP addresses. USB Warning
Dear support, I have seen a lot options with USB devices. For example you can block some USB devices and while plugging in you get a warning message that de devices is blocked and cannot be used. Is there an option to get the personal warning message but still use the device?I only want to warn the user. not block the device. It’s only for external HDD and USB flash drives. Mobile Device Management rights for non Admin users
Greetings, I'd like my techs to have the ability to add and remove mobile devices within the different groups we have setup. I'd also like them to have the ability to scan mobile devices and perform wipes; however, I don't want them to have admin rights to the entire DTC. Other roles take away their ability to do other functions concerning computer management within the solution. Am I overlooking something here, can this be done? Thanks, Dave

Retry failed downloads
My server often fails to download patches, and if I go in manually retrying failed downloads, eventually they succeed. Is there any way for the system to automatically retry failed downloads, or does it only try once? Thanks for your assistance.

ManageEngine Desktop Agent ver 9 and Windows XP
Hi, We have a couple of users on Windows XP due to program compatibility issue with Win7. We have installed the agent on Windows XP and so far, we are not able to push any new software installations or updates to them. Is there a compatibility issue of Agent 9 and WinXP? Scheduled report - Computers without a specific piece of software
Is there a way to schedule this report to run? I've tried creating a scheduled report using the following options: Select Reports: Inventory reports > Computers with/without a specific software > clicked the + sign and configured with the following fields: Software Name > not equal > Sophos Anti Virus It seems to me the problem is when you run the report manually, you select 'Does not equal' but this option is missing from scheduled report area as you can only select 'not equal' and this generates

We are seeing the error message below in Desktop Central under MDM / Enrollment. Anyone know what this is? Did not see this before today. Maybe a port that needs to be opened? Windows Notification Service(WNS) is not Reachable! Desktop Central is not able to reach WNS, Contact Support with the server logs.

Execute script on OSX
I need to deploy an SSL certificate for my Mac systems via DC. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there is any ability to simply run a script for Mac's. I've created a Zip of with the certificate and specified the command to import it into the System keychain (/usr/bin/security add-trusted-cert -d -r trustRoot -k /Library/Keychains/System.keychain root.crt) but the deployment always fails with 'Installable not found' Is there any way to easily deploy this?
Template for new pc's
Dear, Then I make a template with a couple of software packages selected I send it to a couple of pc's. This works fine. But what happens when I modify this package after it has run to put in new pc's. Does he only push this to the new pc's or to all the pc's in the list. I am wanting to deploy Skype 7 to all our users via DC, we previously installed 6.18 via GPO, so I created a custom script to remove 6.18 as a pre-deployment task. MsiExec.exe /X{1845470B-EB14-4ABC-835B-E36C693DC07D} /passive /norestart However if for some reason Skype was not installed by GPO the pre-deployment script fails and version 7 is not pushed out, how can I configure the exit code to proceed if the 6.18 version was not found?

Old flash versions still showing in inventory - DC90111
Hello DC people, DC version : 90111 There have been many new versions of Flash player in january. The fact is : now I have 5 differents versions of it in DC inventory (see screenshot), which looks like a bug because some computers are reported to have 3 or 4 versions installed. I have checked on the computers and there are no signs of the olders versions. Others softwares don't have this problem in DC (only 1 version - the good one - is shown). Remote shutdown schedule weekly and monthly
I need to set 2 schedules... 1 for auto shutdown Mon-Thurs another for every 4th Saturday every 90 days. I was able to set them the way I want them, but when I save the task the configure scheduler only saves one.... Can I set a weekly and monthly schedule?
Mail Server Settings Office 365 Business Premium with custom domain
I have office365 setup on my domain and I am trying to setup the mail server in Desktop Central but it keeps coming back with the following error: Unable to Establish Connection!. Verify Server Name and Port Number. I have attached the image of my settings which I have verified in my Office 365 account.
Desktop Central computers dropping off domain?
Ever since we installed Desktop Central into our domain, we are getting computers here and there getting this error: "The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this work station trust relationship" Has anyone else seen this happen? I am trying to figure out why some of my agents are stating the agent live status is up but when I try to connect it states agent not reachable.
Desktop Central is unable to create/upgrade the agent
I'm getting this error in SOC: "Desktop Central is unable to create/upgrade the agent" I already added the folder to the antivirus exception. Earlier today it gave me this error then went away long enough for me to get about half the agents deployed. Now it came back with no changes.

Hi We noticed that the App "ManageEngine MDM for Samsung" is no longer supportd on S4mini GT-I9195 Android ver. 4.2.2 and ver. 4.4.2 We also tried the ManageEngine MDM, but when we do the enrollment we received a message error that the App is not designed for Samsung SAFE devices. Push Chrome to XP workstations
I need to push Chrome to my remaining XP workstations, but I need to make sure that IE is still the default browser. We have custom software that has to have IE as the default. I know there is a template for pushing Chrome out, so I think I will be good there, but I am not sure how to set IE as the default AND it not ask the User if they wish to make Chrome the default. thanks! jsbac

I get this alert when viewing my remote-office. I have installed distribution server on my computer but I get this error.By the way once I tried to scan the managed computer which belongs to my remote-office server and it failed saying distribution server is not reachable.Could you help me on this case?
