Deployment message
When I push a Windows package I can set my deployment policy to Notify users about deployment or not and I can customize the message if I choose to notify. When I create a configuration and set the Package settings / install options to Run as a user, the package is deployed with the deployment policy along with or without Notifying the users about deployment, but then a second notification window is displayed with generic message about New Software is Available, "Desktop Central has been configured
Configurations
Do configurations have a time out period? After so long do they stop working? I don't think this should be the case but I had some machines that were in a configuration for about a month and didn't update. When I setup a configuration and pushed the software to the machine again it worked within minutes.
Desktop Central agents are missing in Most of the client systems after updating the Server.
After updating to Build No:90135. Clients are always shows down and also in most of the client systems agents are missing,don't even seen the service also. Please help me .Its very very urgent. I have around 500 systems in 6 locations.So its not possible to re install the clients in all systems. Pls pls help me.....
Can Teamviewer be listed under the Applications tab?
Hello, Under Software Deployment -> Patch Scan, clicking on each machine provides three tabs: Applications, Missing Patches, and Installed Patches. For some reason, the TeamViewer application is not listed under the Applications tab. Is it possible to have the TeamViewer application listed under the Applications tab along with any patches applied? Thanks Anthony

Hello, Why is Desktop Central detecting the PatchID 100682 (Bulletin MSWU-1154) as needed on my systems? Running Windows Update on these systems does not detect this patch as needed - neither as "Critical" nor as "Recommended" Attempting to deploy the patch to systems results in the status "Unknown Error. Lost remote control function after update
Hi, I updated to the latest build last night and have lost a bit of functionality. If you are looking at a list of computers or searching for one by name you normally can click the little icon with the computer on where you get your list of actions like "patch scan, "inventory scan" "chat" etc.. Well now when you click on the remote control button this does nothing. It just does nothing! If you click tools, remote control and then press connect this works as expected and launches the remote connect.
Understand which user approved a patch
Hi, the customer configured DC to apply only manually approved patch. The problem is that two Java patch became approved and caused some issue. The customer would like to know which user approved those two patches. Is it possible? Regards
User Configurations per computer.
Is there any way to configure user settings to be applied by the computer name ? Settings such as user shared printers, shortcuts, drive mappings and etc. Am I missing the obvious or is this feature just not there, other products in the past had the ability to set user configurations only when on specified computers. Java Updates Not Downloading Again....
This problem appears to have come up again. The links to the java updates lead to a page from Oracle that says a license agreement must be signed before download is permitted. Any planned updates for Security Configurations?
In looking through the list of available options in the Security Configurations, it seems the list is is fairly limited compared to the full options that are available through Group Policy. Are there any plans to update this feature with more options, especially related to some of the new features in Windows 8/8.1? Currently I don't see anything related to locking down the Start Screen or Metro application access. Thanks.

Can someone explain what "Retry in progress" means is when patch job is submitted. This particular job is sitting in that particular state since yesterday. I tried restarting server in question but no go. Patch remarks are having "The Stub received bad data". What should be my next move?

USB Warning
Dear support, I have seen a lot options with USB devices. For example you can block some USB devices and while plugging in you get a warning message that de devices is blocked and cannot be used. Is there an option to get the personal warning message but still use the device?I only want to warn the user. not block the device. It’s only for external HDD and USB flash drives. Mobile Device Management rights for non Admin users
Greetings, I'd like my techs to have the ability to add and remove mobile devices within the different groups we have setup. I'd also like them to have the ability to scan mobile devices and perform wipes; however, I don't want them to have admin rights to the entire DTC. Other roles take away their ability to do other functions concerning computer management within the solution. Am I overlooking something here, can this be done? Thanks, Dave

My server often fails to download patches, and if I go in manually retrying failed downloads, eventually they succeed. Is there any way for the system to automatically retry failed downloads, or does it only try once? Thanks for your assistance.

Hi, We have a couple of users on Windows XP due to program compatibility issue with Win7. We have installed the agent on Windows XP and so far, we are not able to push any new software installations or updates to them. Is there a compatibility issue of Agent 9 and WinXP? Scheduled report - Computers without a specific piece of software
Is there a way to schedule this report to run? I've tried creating a scheduled report using the following options: Select Reports: Inventory reports > Computers with/without a specific software > clicked the + sign and configured with the following fields: Software Name > not equal > Sophos Anti Virus It seems to me the problem is when you run the report manually, you select 'Does not equal' but this option is missing from scheduled report area as you can only select 'not equal' and this generates

We are seeing the error message below in Desktop Central under MDM / Enrollment. Anyone know what this is? Did not see this before today. Maybe a port that needs to be opened? Execute script on OSX
I need to deploy an SSL certificate for my Mac systems via DC. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there is any ability to simply run a script for Mac's. I've created a Zip of with the certificate and specified the command to import it into the System keychain (/usr/bin/security add-trusted-cert -d -r trustRoot -k /Library/Keychains/System.keychain root.crt) but the deployment always fails with 'Installable not found' Is there any way to easily deploy this?
Template for new pc's
Dear, Then I make a template with a couple of software packages selected I send it to a couple of pc's. This works fine. But what happens when I modify this package after it has run to put in new pc's. Does he only push this to the new pc's or to all the pc's in the list. I am wanting to deploy Skype 7 to all our users via DC, we previously installed 6.18 via GPO, so I created a custom script to remove 6.18 as a pre-deployment task. MsiExec.exe /X{1845470B-EB14-4ABC-835B-E36C693DC07D} /passive /norestart However if for some reason Skype was not installed by GPO the pre-deployment script fails and version 7 is not pushed out, how can I configure the exit code to proceed if the 6.18 version was not found?

Old flash versions still showing in inventory - DC90111
Hello DC people, DC version : 90111 There have been many new versions of Flash player in january. The fact is : now I have 5 differents versions of it in DC inventory (see screenshot), which looks like a bug because some computers are reported to have 3 or 4 versions installed.
