They are cluttering up our computer lists for remote control, software updates, and patch management. They will be going back online eventually and I don't want to loose track of them or the information about them in Desktop Central so I would rather not take them out of the SOM. Unable to update Patch Sync
I have struggled to update the patch sync since installing to try Desktop Central 9 about 12 days ago. We do not have a proxy server but a direct internet connection once authenticated on the domain. I have verified activity is not blocked by our firewall but the connection cannot be made. How to handle many configurations for inital setup
Hi @ all, we use DTC very intensively for client configuration, especially for the initial setup of a new windows client. Until now we have over 15 configs that need to be executed on new clients. These configs are already "collections" which take several steps. Other execute batch files, edit registry entries or use the user management feature von DTC. Deploying DC to all machines on network
Hi, I am looking at making sure all our machines within our company that are on our network / domain are showing in Desktop Central. Is there somewhere within Desktop Central that would pick up machines on the network which currently don't have the client, to allow me to push the client out to it, or would they need to have the desktop client installed on each machine for it to be picked up within Desktop Central itself? During my tests I have had some strange issues: 1. I have had a couple of batch scripts uploaded into the script repository and I had several user configurations to deploy these batches during login. Need a report of first contact with ME DC for computers
I'd like to get a simple report for the first contact of a PC to ME DC, but not the one under AD Reports, since most of our computers are in a Workgroup in the field. Hope this is an easy one. Basically, we have the ME DC Agent baked into our images which doesn't contact the server until the PC name changes. Works like a charm. What I need is a way to determine when a machine first appeared in SOM, as this report will give us when each PC was first deployed in the company. Thanks!
Patch approval by group
Is there a way to approve patches on a per group basis similar to WSUS? I want to just approve patches to a test group of PC\Servers and not blanket approve patches to all PC's / Servers.

100% cpu on managed Windows Server 2012 R2 servers
I find that after a scan of my servers, some of the Windows Server 2012 R2 machines remain consuming 100% cpu. The only workaround is to kill the process Microsoft Windows Scripting Host. I have attached an example screen shot. I strongly suspect ME DC is causing this, probably when it's doing a patch scan. (or something like that) Has anyone seen this before and have a fix? Wildcard SSL Certificate
Can anyone tell me how to import a pre-existing Wildcard SSL in PFX format? When I try to do it from the Import SSL Certificates window, I select the cert, put in the password and submit. I get a message that says that Intermediate Certificate Chain is missing. I do not get any prompts to install the Intermediate Chain. Any advise would be great. Thanks
Adding a Distribution Server
I currently have a remote office that has about 200 computers connected to our main DC Server. I would like to add the Distribution Server option to one of the servers at that remote location. My question is: can I just go into the Edit Remote Office page of that remote office and then enter the server information under the Communication Details? Will the agents update automatically? Or do I need to create a new remote office and move the computers to that new remote office? Thanks

How do I change the enrollment when I move a device from one user to another? Do I have to dis-enroll then re-enroll the device? Or, can I change the user specific information: email address; AD user ID; AD password?
Waiting for presenter message
While trying to connect to a system remotely, it gets stuck on the screen stating "Waiting for Presenter" . I have already completely updated/reinstalled Java to latest version, confirmed that Active X was enabled on system, and also completely reinstalled the Desktop Central Agent but am still having no luck. Any ideas of what might be causing the issue or what I should try next?

Hello, This morning I updated our Desktop Central application to build 91124 and after the update I can no longer add computers. When I go into SoC to add a computer it now displays this message at the top when I select a group or a single computer: OUNT":3,"osPlatform".{},"ADDED_COMPUTERS_COUNT".3} It shows the selected computers on the right correctly, but the "Done" button is grayed out so my only option is to cancel. How to extract .mdf from .bak in SQL Server 2005
I have a 6GB .bak file that, when check it in the file to use for restore, the file shows 'Incomplete'. I need to extract the .mdf part of the .bak file since I don't need the .log file. There should be some way to do this or some tool out there that will either repair the .bak file so it doesn't show 'Incomplete', or that will extract the .mdf file so I can use it or repair just the .mdf file. There may even be a SQL script that will do this. I've done extensive searches and can't find an answer.

Defining Single Targets
I recently just set up Desktop Central and was testing the software deployment functionality. However, I want to test on a single machine. Unfortunately when i get to the configuration setup, I am only able to choose group targets, "Remote offices" or "Domain". I don't see an option for single target devices. I also have tried creating a custom group with just one machine and still no luck. Same choices. Is there a way to push to a single target?
Desktop Central MSP - Custom Secure Login Page
Can someone please help me modify the login page. Since this is MSP - it will be exposed to public for the agents to be able to communicate. The current page has all the advertisement one needs to know what type of application is hosted. + This makes it too easy for someone to find an exploit for DC MSP. I would like a simple login page - only the form.
